Thanks for sharing.Bit hesitant to trust the pulley or my diy skills...Pulley will fly straight to the nuts 😱
Haha, yea, my first version was very questionable. But the bracket isn't going to go through that 2x4.
Yours is good idea, cheap and safe. But I have another option: Mine belt squat platform have double layer of plywood instead 1.And I have a steel plate under plywood, so it's very sturdy
Nice idea Steph...You can save home gym user's some money!...Tks for sharing!... Take care!
Thanks Thomas. Yes, much less expensive than buying a purpose-built machine.
Nicely done and a cool alternative to buying the expensive units you see in the stores. Also a far more reasonable footprint. 👊🏻👊🏻
Thanks! Yea, the foot print is what I like most about this one. Stores away nicely.
Tip barbell across to holdOnto
Very cool idea. I've been toying with something similar except you mount directly into the wood of the platform
Nice! Yea, I thought about doing that, but the way I'm set up I would of had to take my platform apart. But that would definitely work.
I wonder if I could set up belt squats with titan selectorized lat pull down machine? However I would like to start on top due to bad knee
Not bad, but a solid pulley is way more stable
As opposed to the snatch block? Yea, I'm working on a mod for that.
