Enjoyed the review... I used to do track days on motorbikes and while cars are generally 'easier', being able to speak so well and informatively while running a stinkingly expensive hairy V12 Lambo on a slippery track is mighty impressive.
I’d wager to say this guy loves his job! Any chance you could try mounting the forward facing camera further back in the cab so we can see things like the gauge cluster, while still looking forward? I understand why you wouldn’t show the speedometer on street reviews, but perhaps on tracks you could? Thanks for the great reviews. Long time sub here.
Gas, coolant, oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, diff oil, washer fluid, and AC refrigerant. I can see all that add up to 550 lbs. The oil capacity and cooling capacity on this thing must be massive too.
A gallon of gasoline weighs 6lbs as does oil, water is 8lbs a gallon, there aren't 600lbs of fluids in that car unless there are like 20 gallons of brake fluid, 10 gallons of transmission and diff fluid and gallons of oil in there.
Great drive/review, Matt. Just wondering, why do you switch to a mono audio track for the drive? Does the engine and road noise drown out the commentary in stereo?
A great NA motor is amazing. I’m surprised there wasn’t many comparisons to the Performante. This thing is a beast and I’m glad that it’s a V12 with natural aspiration. Doesn’t sound like a copy machine like a handful of cars I can think of. One that comes to mind is a McLaren.
*I'm so sad that all the natural motors or naturally aspirated engines are disappearing slowly through the years* Sure they are slow (and deemed more polluting although turbos bypass tests unrealistically and is also polluting..), but they are just symphonies filled with passion. Unlike dull factory turbo cars these days and all sound very monotoned with at most 2 pitch/notes to progress from. Sure they are loud due to better tinkering from sound departments (more like trying to compensate) but singing louder doesn't make you sing more beautifully.
Slow? N/A is only slow for its power when they try to squeak to far past 100hp/L and no longer have that neck snapping instant torque that a 8.4L would have and turbo only cheat emission in actual real world use they burn more gas because then need to run richer to avoid knock and heat soak.
@@eaglefat9398 you're just nitpicking. If you look at current market products, all motor cars performance cars such as the performance or GT4 and 3 has considerably less power performance than turbo vehicles like 570s or 720s.. @@porschecollector727 your comment literally doesn't relate to my comment or any comments under my comment currently..No one here drew any correlation to very specifically noise and power.
To be honest, I'm not even sure they can't be made to pollute similar to turbo engines. I see it more like an easy way out for manufacturers. It's probably a lot cheaper to meet the requirements by using turbos.
