What's the best of these tracks?
Road Atlanta
Avus
Road Atlanta, one of the best tracks in the world
Road Atlanta for SURE
@@MrJohansennot even close to being one of the best.
The guy who designed Avus really just slapped a brick wall on a highway and decided to call it a day
Actually, the AVUS has existed for 16 years before the brick wall was added.
Quite literally 😂
Exactly
"Flat out"
HAAS VF-24: allow me to introduce myself
“Half of the Turns Flat out”
RB6&W11:You guys called us?
guy called it before testing
AVUS is such a historically interesting track to me, and something about that brick wall (lovingly nicknamed the Wall of Death) is unnervingly terrifying to me
Raced it in video games and the last turn is so scary
Well, every track can be flat out, if you stay in first gear, every corner is shurelly flat out
No. Not every corner on every track
@@Linus-tz2tk wot? Wot do you mean?
@@GCoimbra40 Try monaco flat out. Even in 1. Gear and even with W11 it wont work.
monaco?????@@GCoimbra40

How the fuck do you even find 15 corners on Road Atlanta xD
That's some NASCAR thinking right there.
Yeah
1) good video idea, pretty well executed too
2) how much downforce were you running to barely reach over 300
3) i don’t think oval tracks should count, including terras and brooklands in that. Because at that point you could add another like 10 to the list
4) why 70s daytona, it still works with the modern one
5) riverside possibly? 9 corners, only 3 would need brakes i think, and maybe 1 lift, not sure about it
2) no DRS probably that's why
3) he put Daytona Road Course so that's not fully oval the terra one has a slightly turn right Brooklands I agree with u
5) I think Old monza maybe would be possible too
He probably used 70s daytona because the road course layout didnt have the bustop chicane then.
Actually i miscalculated daytona, i thought 12 corners 5 braking zones, but the bus stop has more than one non-flat corner
the 1960s configuration of Monza has 9 turns, 6 of which are easy flat out in a low downforce F1 car, and another one could easily be done flat out with the right setup
Hurts me to see that the car doesnt drive like 390 on Avus haha
Now I want to see you try this in something other than a F1 car and see how flat out they are ;-)
Bro that last track must have had so many exciting races XD
Bikes used to race there...
In 1938, one of the racers there clocked 380 km/h, so yeah, it was pretty insane
So many? There aren't even that many races in AVUS.
George approved this one (Unless you haven't seen Mugello commentary in 2020)
3:58 hold up walls in corners?!
6:01 Woah!
yes goodwood does have walls in the final chicane made of styrofoam sorta material
I’m surprised the older layouts of Monza weren’t mentioned!!! Same goes for older layouts of Hockenheim, Silverstone, Le Mans, hell I’ve been able to drive Riverside almost completely flat out!!
Well Hockenheim has only a few flat-out corners for example... There might be a 2nd part...
@@THEWINDTUNNELWell, I look forward to a potential part 2.
This is so interesting all of these
what about old Monza without chicanes?
that would be seven corners in total and 4 flat-out
Part 2 😉
Great video.....I haven't seen a comparison like this before......I really like Road Atlanta and Mosport
Wow brooklands was a much larger track than I imagined
The old silverstone layouts are my favorite tracks ever.
They did nascar dirty with that daytona model
Interesting. Didn't know Brooklands and Terramar. Nice tracks, with nice histories. Brooklands is the oldest track exclusively made for car races in the world.
What if I tell you they also used to host bike racing?
Very nice!
Pls do a lap of the Papenberg track which resembles one of the Hockenheim layouts but is a shorter copy. I wanna know how quick it is
I commented this while avus was live
what app for the g-force meter you are using?
Jesus! What track was that last one!
De La Sarthe
AKA: 24 hours of Le Mans track
@@AdvincentIncorrect, it was the old AVUS track in Germany
@GuyWithburger-fd5ik Its literally in the video how could u get it wrong?
Brain wasnt braining
"Flat round here"
6:18 looks like Sebring plus Avus
*Imagine the NECK PAIN*
Really nice video, but it really makes me question what counts and what doesn’t count as a corner? Like, the sharpest turn in Austria is turn 3 or turn 2? Does the little “turn” in the second straight count as a corner? Why do ovals have 4 turns?
Completely arbitrary, FIA regs for example only have a definition for what constitues "first corner"
Would've been a better video imo if you did a laptime with the fastest car that raced at each track. Because an f1 car can obviously take older tracks flat out
A few videos back I commented suggesting a video taking a modern F1 car around some classic tracks to see how many corners *weren't* flat out. Naturally, I'm quite happy my prompt was selected.
Daytona International was opened in 1959, just sayin.
mosport has at the best 11 turns (1-2--3-4-5a and 5b - Andretti strait (for 6 and 7 8 -9 and 10 is the last chicane before the start/finish line!!!!
lime rock park uses the chicane
Imagine drs at these
WHAT IS THAT 42G AT MOSPORT
Imagine if this video is from F1 2023, imagine with those from 2020; or with the W11 directly
First F1 car of 2024 is gonna be used for 2024 in this channel
Holy cow the G-Forces..also it's odd to see an F1 car struggling to put in the 8th gear an oval
All the tracks after Daytona are engine busters. Lime Rock Park is still a bit reasonable. But... Brookland and Avus are pure insanity. Then, the cars had no down force, narrow wheels, no seat belt, no roll bar, friction shock and drum brakes. In fact, the cars made for those had some lift.
Canadian gran prix at mosport would be so much better.
I do like these videos and following for a long time, but I have just realized that 44g+ was a crash just the lap before😅
Nah, it was after spawing

LIME ROCK MENTIONED!!!!!! WHAT THE FUCK IS RACING ON SUNDAYS!?!?!?!
Lmao Why isn't that the tack's slogan?
i think most of these corners are flat only for highdownforce cars like F1
Oh, absolutely, in a GT car most of these would be 4th gear corners
Better than Monaco lol. Flat out corners are incredible.
Should have been the w11😢
Indianapolis is crying in the corner
Didn't use ovals. There's over a dozen which are easy flat out for an F1 car

Daytona had no Bus Stop in this video
my bad, didn't see 1970
but lime rock should've had it's first chicane
I didn't use the current layouts, just the fastest

God it’s so fucking weird seeing road Atlanta on here when I’m literally 10 mins away from there and barely ever hear about it lmao
Lucky you, it’s my favorite track in all motorsport and video games. It’s such a dynamic track with great elevation, turns 3, 5 and 7 are incredibly punishing on laptimes if you don’t get your exit right, and there are at least 2 areas to safely pass your opponent
What a track... One of the very best in the world
The tracks are incredible, but why doesn't this car have straight line speed? Don't have DRS? What a horrible mod
Didn't use it as these aren't F1 tracks and don't have DRS zones. Due to the long flat out sections the car runned out of ERS
Not avus being most boring track that could ever exist
Until you start racing...
bro this is literally nascar.
Nascar doesn't have half the road courses...
Martinsville, Bristol, Phoenix and another ovals with less than 2 miles: I AM A JOKE FOR YOU?
Top speed has to be part of flat out. You lie
What?
Avus would be boring as heck for modern races 🙄
nascars better 😂
No it is not WEC F1 WRC IMSA and about ever other Motorsport > NASCAR
@@Formulafan0301 first it was a joke, second its all about preference of what racing you like, third you cant even compare the 2 because they are completely different. NASCAR is all about rough racing, making sure you dont make mistakes, beating an banging and help from other drivers, and dont forget that it gets 150 degrees in the car, F1 is all about precision making sure you make every turn as fast as possible, battling G-force and not hitting anything.
I will admit nascar is fun to watch but sports car racing tops it
