    I usually get my creative juices flowing around 10 or 11 at night. I draw and write and when I feel tired enough to sleep I go to bed. :) when I wake up I'm not creative at all :p

    I don't know.........I feel my drawing skill increases when I am tired and it's when I get some of my best ideas for my stories.......

      well when you wake up you are something like tired but reversed where you are getting less tired gradually

      I stay up late to then get EXTREMELY creative, i usually can draw so well and make beautiful art.During the day, i cant draw anything and i have a hard time coming up with things to draw.

      there is usually a particular time where the imagination spikes at night when i START getting sleepy but not really sleepy enough to sleep.. but really often times I have drawn something when i was super sleepy and woken up and found out that it didn't look as good as i thought it did at the start..

    I've been going to bed at 2:00 am for a very long time and I noticed that during the day I would be in such a bad mood if anyone told me to do something. I would just be on the interenet all day hoping I wouldn't be disturbed. NOW I force myself to sleep at 9:00 pm and its really made a difference in my life. I help out a lot more and I pay for attention. Thank you for the video.

    Oh my goodness, THANK you! This video and the facts it includes are... personally revolutionary! I struggle sleeping allt he way through the night, and just end up staying up, procrastinating for a while before I go to bed... way later than I probably should! I'm also a VERY right-brained person (score out of 16 on an accurate psychology "which side dominant" test: 15 Right, 1 Left...) So naturally, I'm VERY creative, and my creativity feels like it's slipping lately... I can't WAIT to try this!

    I have done this ever since i was 9 yrs old! it helped me make friends and i always got invited by the teacher to tell a story to the class every day at school!

    I have a big journal I keep next to my pillow. Each morning I write down exactly how my dream went. I use those dreams to create new stories n other journals. I also paint them, or make drawings and models out of them. I feel the journals also help me control the dreams i'm having. Plus I only have about one nightmare a month instead of used to having like two a week.

    almost every time I wake up, I feel hungover and sick for a good hour or so. The only times I remember waking up feeling energized was when I went to bed at 4am to wake up at 6:30am to go to work. And those were rare.

    I'm a creative writing hobby-ist... And rather than sleeping more, because trust you me, I've tried... I have to be sleep-deprived for at least a week, and then I'll have awesome creativity vibes... I almost never sleep during mon-fri, and on weekends, I hone my creative writing skills... It works for some people who are used to it.

    I don't know if this is true, but I heard that while Coleridge was jotting down "Kubla Khan" after he had dreamt of the poem itself, somebody knocked on his door. It was his taylor, who sought to call his attention upon some unpaid debt. Coleridge hastily explained to him that it was not really a good moment for that, but by the time the visitor departed he had already forgotten the rest of the poem in its entirety.

    Im gonna try this because the more I sleep the more relax I feel when I'm at school I pay more attention but its true because when I'm relax and I had a good sleep I feel very creative

    I've been getting 12 hours sleep every day for the past 2 months and I'm still in my creative rut, which has lasted close to four months now.
    I honestly think I've lost it.

    lol me too.. Often I avoid going to bed by reading and watching videos about sleep derivation and the benefits of good sleep. I usually get about 6-7 hours a night.

      That's in interesting theory, but I don't know why either! I'm an aspiring writer, and I came up with an idea for a novel once when I couldn't sleep and was writing a poem at midnight. I came up with another when I was watching a crime show on TV late at night. That would be an unique study to conduct!

    I love the look of your videos! The information is perfectly concise, and yet, so helpful. PLUS... I really enjoy the animation used to create these!! I wonder if Sarah Keokanock or Halie Seager could take a moment to point us toward resources, on how to get started animating videos like these. (Just trying to work on my creativity. :)

    Sometimes when I write really late at night, the last couple of lines I write are really, really good....xD Though part of it may just be the fact that they're more honest.
    And nowadays, I'm just too tired to do any writing - I just fall on my bed and go to sleep nearly immediately...

    I go to sleep at around 11:00 p.m and wake up at 6:30 a.m, and most days I can either draw or write really well. I wonder what will happen if I listen to this video?

    my body will only let me get 8 hours of sleep….. i go to bed at around 10:30 and wake up around 6:30 7:00

    If I go to bed half an hour before I normally do It will be 1:30am And I can do well on less than 5 hours of sleep!

    I don't think 30 minutes earlier will help me seeing as though I go to bed at (on average) 00:00. I think it goes without saying that I NEED to stop sleeping the way I do. :)

    As a teenager my sleep cycle changes times (mentioned in another wellcast video) say i stay up till 2:00am every night (during summer) but wake up still 8 or 9 hours later, am i still good on sleeping habits or am in need of a change of sleeping time?

    it is too bright these days so if you go to sleep half an hour earlier you wont get to sleep as it will be to bright and youll waken up even more and you wont get to sleep until 11 o clock in the night so that doesnt really help does it ? I dont think so!

    "Go to bed 30 minutes earlier everyday". Been trying to get to sleep at a more reasonable time for a while now but since I set an unrealistic deadline to go to bed I always stay up until 4am or later anyway. WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT? Oh wait...

    Sometimes I fall asleep at 12, sometimes 12:30, sometimes 1 and sometimes earlyer or later. I do not really have a steady bed time, so I can't go to bed half an hour earlyer..

      I have to be in bed by 9:30-9:45 unless I have homework than its when I'm done with it but sometimes I don't get to sleep until12:00 or 1:00

    Dear Wellcast,
    My sister stays up all night and its hard for me to sleep so i ended up passing out at the park in my neighborhood when i was with my friends and my best friend had to carry me home and i didnt wake up until 9:00pm and i went to bed at 1:00 am and woke up at 6 am is that a good thing?

    I don't know, I go to bed at 9:00 pm but I fall asleep like at 10:30pm or maximum 1:30 am. But no mater what I will wake up @ 6:00 am or @7:00 am

    Sometimes your body might need that much sleep if you've been very active and not getting much sleep, but definitely not on a regular basis!

    I have trouble falling asleep after I awake. i go to bed at 6 i wake up at 1.

    I'm an author.....yes at the age of 13....i have 5 published poems and i'm am finishing the writing of my first novel. I have to sleep 8 hours every night or i'm off track. I wake up and i'm like......meh i'll write it tommorow.
