Realizing taking happiness for granted Just opened up my mind that we/me took (not just happiness) but a lot of things for granted but It doesn't really make us happy (For your school comment)
APEC SCHOOLS ANTHEM- Better each Day Better each day, We're creating our own future, With better ways. To raise our communities, We're facing a new world, New challenges ahead With brave hearts, we know we will succeed Better each day. Better lives, better families Growing each day Becoming future leaders Our journey's just beginning With APEC will take flight, Hand in hand, Soar high to our dreams. Tomorrow will be bright, We're better each day!
In 2013 my family had a big jar and a pad of paper, every time something made us happy, we'd write it down in our own colored pen (one color for each family member) then fold the paper and put it in the jar. At the end of the year you open the jar and read all the slips of paper. I nicknamed it "the jar of happy". :)
I enjoyed this video..I have a journal I write in daily to GOD telling Him how thankful I am..I have been doing this for years..The other day, I read my journal from last year and what I prayed for came..Praise GOD...I am grateful to GOD , my family and others and I try to bless them the best way I can. 10/30/2021
as a newly diagnosed cancer patient this video comes at a perfect time..thank you for sharing , I am off to get a journal that won't have entries about my exit from the world (which could still be a long ways off according to the doctor) but the things that i recognize as gifts each day and am grateful for xoxo
I am grateful for the energy that sustains this planet, I am grateful for the ecosystem of the planet and all it's wisdom which we understand and all it's wisdom that we do not understand. I am grateful for the clean air, the bugs, the trees, the rivers, the forests, and valleys. Thank you, EL HAYYIM, God of Life, who brought forth all the myriad forms of this universe as an expression of divine love, and thank you for causing it's beauty to be so much it overflows our senses. Hashem, I am grateful to truly see the incredible divine reality all around me constantly, and appreciate it for what it is. I see love, soft and fluid, incorruptible and endless, underlying all things. A mystic poem touches the heartbeat of our reality as loving joy rather than pain and sadness. Such a recording effects our lives forever more and throughout generations. I am grateful to have adhered to the path of Hesed, and to have accepted the unlimited light within my soul, torn through the oppressive grid of mundane life, and found sincerity in return to Eden. Thank you, God, with buddha wisdom, and heavenly means, who ensures the healthy spirits in us be ever strengthening, not waning. Hashem, you make immortality easy and not distant. Thank you for being celestial/cute. Thank you for making everyone comfortable.
That is the best comment I read on Internet for a while all praise and thanks to Allah almighty who made all that exist and every good only come from him alone..
I would recommend writing a little note about good things that happen to you everyday, or a few times a week, and putting them all in a little jar so at the end of the year, you can remember all the good things that happen to you!=] I started mine during the new year but you can start now if you want!
@Nicholas Coronel @Nicholas Coronel Wow this was an old comment! It was fun while I did it. I think what I enjoyed about it was the feeling that I was progressing towards a goal, maybe something I could post about in a year. A couple of years ago I found my jar of good things again and it was cool to remember some of the nice things people did for me and show them to those old friends, such as a note that said "Sheila gave me a churro!" Such simple things. I ended up only doing it for 7 months. At the time I had some bad family stuff happen and it felt emotionally exhausting to try to find good things in a really horrible day. I don't think I would start this type of thing up again; I think the types of days I have now require more... venting. If I did it again I would feel forced to be positive. Hm.. I think this exercise doesn't work for me. But something that does work for me is writing letters to friends. A long, personal letter to a friend is definitely another way of expressing gratitude, and I think my friendships are strengthened when I do it, even when I write letters to friends I haven't seen in years. I find that most of the daily notes I wrote were about other people anyway, so I did end up learning a little bit about myself. I never reflected on this exercise before. Thanks for asking about my thoughts. =]
@Nicholas Coronel Well, even if you don't stick with it like I did, you still might learn something about yourself. In my opinion, it was just sort of a neat project that doesn't take a long time to do (I didn't go into detail in my notes about good things that happen). It's almost the new year so it might be a good time to start. Or you can do the exercises in the video, but I honestly I think collecting the gratitude notes in a jar looks nicer :D
I am grateful for the House that I live in. I am grateful for the simple yet elegant design it has. I am grateful for the comfort I find within it. I am grateful for the environmentalist philosophy I have that makes my home nonharmful to the equilibrium of the planet.
School did not send me here. It was actually a Netflix series called Big Mouth (Rated R). Its mentioning of gratitude has me investigating it for myself so here I am diving down the rabbit hole. I've decided I'm going to give gratitude my best try.
Im thankful first on my parents because of the support and understanding and also to the teachers and LF's who teach me academically and morally and also to my friends on their support
Not only can saying Thank You makes you feel better, hearing it also feels great. I noticed that people on city buses rarely say 'thanks' to the driver and those drives always look kinda pissed off. But the drivers for the college bases bus are mostly cheerful because kids always say 'thanks' 'have a good day' and whatnot
I am grateful again for my healthy back! I sat in meditation today in the same manner as I sat yesterday, for 10-15 minutes on the green grass of the earth, breathing the clean air and taking in the beautiful view of the sky! Mind still, thought still, relaxing within.
My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

I have to say "Thank you" to all of you. My best friend passed away over the summer, and I haven't been the same person who I was before her end. I have been writing gratitude appreciations that are in my life since this video was uploaded, and, even though I'm not over my best friend's passing, I at least feel better. Thank you all. Do you have advice for grieving/adapting to a close loved one's passing?
Thanks for this video! :D My dad's always talking to me about positivity and i notice how he's been saying thank you a lot lately...like sitting down, looking around and saying thank you for the roof over our heads, food to eat, etc. It's the positivity is what i like about this channel that is really refreshing. :)

Thank you, I am grateful that I just meditated silently without music or words/thoughts,for 10-15 minutes while seated cross-legged with a straight back, on the bare earth (wildgrowing grass).
My plan for 2014 is focus and I am beginning the year by focusing on gratitude. What fun to find your video. It is a great way to form a habit of gratitude. Thanks!
Thank you if you are one of the people in Brazil putting your heart out to preserve and expand the Amazon rainforest and keep the Amazon river clean. Thank you, in all the ways you dream of to reach this goal may it be enough, please may it be enough to strongly reverse the damages down to that magnificent wonder of the world. Do not be discouraged, small but consistent efforts are what always adds up in the end. I am not in the Amazon region of the world, however my Brazilian friend who has since moved back to Brazil told incredible stories of the forest and of his experiences with his uncle who happened to be a shaman of native descent using the plants of the Amazon in tradition to heal the soul. I will always remember our times together sharing psychedelic wisdom and art, but also the higher meaning that we had met at all, that I would be here giving thanks and gratitude right now for the entities be they human animal or supernatural that preserve and bring good fortune upon the Amazon and who dismantle the grids of what we call reality to perceive the endlessness of nature which approached with proper respect and in contrast the smallness and receptiveness of humanity not just in ancient times but today. The dreams that grow from the Amazon are incredible, the idea that it's fruits are unquantifiable and endless is truly amazing. Slowly I am gaining a small optimism, perhaps from consistent respect the forest will be there for me, because my chakra is sincere and I do not absorb the karma of others but direct all beings to their own karma. I am grateful for dreams and their wisdom that they would transport a potentially environmentally destruction person away from nature and likewise transport an eco preserving mood and soul to places which perhaps need help be they famous or just in the rootworks. I am grateful for our dreams because they need ask for more than what we truly have, they guide us through a difficult to focus pure reality of endless choices and variables with the third eye of the soul conscious from the higher perspective. Thank you planet earth, thank you every natural plant, thank you wisdom and remedies within nature and within the good qualities of our own spirits
I am grateful for the Chipko environmentalism movement in India. Chipko is a Hindi word meaning "hugging", is used to describe the movement because local village women literally "hugged" trees, interposing their bodies between the trees and the loggers to prevent their being cut down. What started as 1 village's protest against deforestation by new foreign companies in the area that caused harm to their lives and livelihoods because a sustained eco movement throughout India of tree hugging and consciousness raising that exists to this day. It is based on Gandhi's principle of Satyagahara, truth forcing, nonviolent protest, it should serve as an inspiration to Brazil's people today who are faced with the spiritual responsibility of healing and restoring the amazon rainforest, a natural wonder and home to unnumbered scientifically undiscovered species of life, the largest rainforest on our planet. The trees of the Amazon may not be in reach of the hands of most Brazilians, however there is another valuable way, to harness the dreams of Brazil! The people of Brazil must sustain lucidity, they must say, "[we will] not allow our dreams to become these horrid tragedies. We must hone the power of the shamans and live as a real Brazil, not a foreign imitation, stripped from the ways that are relevant to the landscape and wildlife of Brazil that can be usurped for the uses of purely commercial or environmentally insensitive entities." What starts as one dream becomes the dream of the majority and becomes the reality. To overcome its own self destruction, Brazilians must become hackers against the system itself that would otherwise hack them cutting and desecrating the forest that is actually the spirit of the people, rewriting the code of the dream as conscious dreamweavers to deliver environmentalist restoration and life that purges the pathways of the Amazon from exploiters, in learning this code they gain a gift that can help them in other paths of life as well. I see the traps and tests of nature that prevent these desecrators, miners, and would be poachers and makes them fear the spiritual realm, I do not underestimate them or worry that they will fail, I worry of my own worth at subject their test, although I myself am an environmentalist. We have woven the basket; We have seen the headlines in the lucid state, the unpoisoned Brazil that is leading the world in environmentalism, removing the corruption within systems throughout the world with it's culture of spirit medicine plants. We have represented the hearts. I am grateful for the passionate hippies and sharp insights of eco victory coming from Brazil, in most cases literally from formidable plants that trap those who transgress them in illusion but offer flowers to life willing to live in harmony, I am grateful for the Goddess Earth
I am grateful for all public school teachers in the United States who teach with passion and spread peace and love as well as mathematics, science, history, english, and electives!
Thank You, know I need more gratitude in my life, Thank You especially for the Comments below who specify what people are grateful for, quilty of taking Good things for granted and only focusing on the bad all day. So Thank for this Video.
I am grateful for all the enlightened people who make sure that Marijuana is respected as a spiritual gift, not desecrated as an economic commodity. I am grateful for integrity.
Thank you Wellcast for caring about peoples' problems and making these videos to help them out. I also want to thank you for responding to comments, via new video or in the comment section itself, and for brightening my day(s).
Gratitude for good fortune in Sri Lanka, a sunken ship will not leak its oil and will be recovered. We should be grateful and remember lines and words from the Diamond Sutra. Although innumerable nontoxic marbles have fallen into the sea; in truth no marbles have fallen into the sea, and there are no buddhas. Thank you, therefore, for the meditative awareness that causes the whole world to remain wholesome and beings to realize happiness unending. What mysterious force caused this phenomena, and then somehow prevented any major harm from coming out of it? Gratitude for miraculous beings and wisdom in the Sri Lankan region, they seem to be holding a Guardian protective role over the ecosystem and nature's balance. Gratitude for the oyster mushrooms, fhat recently have become popular to cultivate in the Sri Lanka region, therefore they are in abundance, mushrooms that have ability to break down the toxins in oil and leave water purified. This is a gift of nature that came in great handy to the Sri Lankans, though the oil of this ship will not spill, they should cast mushrooms into the ocean anyways to detoxify it and give back to the lifeforce of this great mother earth. We are grateful for the wonders of nature.
Ive decided, even if ultimately.. lots of bad decisions are made.. we should be grateful for humanity.. its actually miraculous.. if we appreciate it.. we'll make it through.. im not perfect.. I might even be crazy.. but im human.. created by the universe... theres something to be said about respect for that.
Absolutely wonderful- The Gratitude Experiment!!! This is what HeartMath has also been proving in the lab -- gratitude is good for your heart and your brain.
the thing is that i simply forget to say thank you, I am howerver grateful, but i should note that it is infact rude to demand that others thank you for every single thing you do. I would thank you if I remember to, but if I find out that you expect me to thank you personally for every gift I will glare at you.
I felt amazed. I didn't realize that gratitude could help us this big. But-------- So here's myself, laughing at the comments regarding APEC teachers who sent their students here. So, am I? - I'm also here coz my teacher sent me to find a comment that resonates with what I feel towards the video
Subscribing, such a great video. I work on a very busy unit (nurse) and I will be retiring after this year. I have been getting very nostalgic about my wonderful coworkers and each time I go to work I try to express how grateful I am for them (they are really great). They seem to like it and does it ever make me feel great. I am in the middle of writing a few emails to my supervisor about them so that this is not just verbal but that they have a written record of what they mean to me. God I am going to miss them.
Gratitude for The abundance of diversity in the USA, American life is wiser just because it is home to every heritage in the world and therefore recieved all their input, the stories of one tribe contain some wisdom, but the stories of them all in unison contain the meaning of life itself. I am grateful to be living in a region of the world where I can talk to my neighbor and hear stories of India or walk down the street and exchange cultural wisdoms with a Mexican, Swede, a Lebanese, an Italian, a Jamaican, French, Chinese, Koreans, Brazilians, and People of various Arabic descents. In all of that cultural exchange there come forth gems that only those in tune with the American experience will ever really know. I believe wisdom is especially alive in the USA, AND IT IS JUST THAT, THE WISDOM THAT COMES FROM APPRECIATING OUR DIFFERENCES WHILE STILL BEING IN STATES THAT ARE UNITED!
Gratitude for the teachers who work in the United States public school system. Gratitude for the effort it takes to be a virtuous teacher. Gratitude for modern education.
I already started to feel good just by watching the video. Its really good. I have always been quite thankful of the things I had but never expressed them, thats something I will do. :)
Such a simple practice and yet so profoundly effective. Today I'm taking this video to class to bring more awareness to the power of gratitude. Thanks WellCast : )
Hello, Apec students. Are you finding a comment with genuine gratitude? Fear not, for I am here to create one. I am grateful for our ancestors, without our ancestors, we wouldn't be born in this century or year with a lot of hardship which is completely part of life. Another thing that I am grateful for is that humanity managed to achieve modern technology with the help of a lot of great inventors, especially Nikola Tesla. Humanity's crave for knowledge is still ascending and is still also reaching new heights, and limits. I do hope that even after a century, humanity still craves for the knowledge to reach new heights and limits, of course they should not forget that they are still human since like I always say.. "Fly high, but do be aware that the sky is limitless"
Realizing taking happiness for granted Just opened up my mind that we/me took (not just happiness) but a lot of things for granted but It doesn't really make us happy

We have woven the basket;
We have seen the headlines in the lucid state, the unpoisoned Brazil that is leading the world in environmentalism, removing the corruption within systems throughout the world with it's culture of spirit medicine plants.

This video is spot on. Grateful for getting to watch this :) Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely wonderful- The Gratitude Experiment!!! This is what HeartMath has also been proving in the lab -- gratitude is good for your heart and your brain.
Deborah Rozman 🎯👍💡👑🍻
the thing is that i simply forget to say thank you, I am howerver grateful, but i should note that it is infact rude to demand that others thank you for every single thing you do. I would thank you if I remember to, but if I find out that you expect me to thank you personally for every gift I will glare at you.
Loving kindness and gratitude for the Fantasy Author Tamora Pierce may she continue to have inspiration and may her books teach good morals.

God I am going to miss them.
this is sooooo works my Mom tald me this when I was a child..... thanks momy u r the best
I'm really grateful you pointed out to express gratitude to others. That is one step I was missing.
This is the BEST Video on UA-cam... Thank-You...

Can you explain what gratitude means and what does it feel like explain it to me like your talking to kindergartener
