I've been using the little cups of applesauce in my baking for years. I just put in the whole cup; no problems with the final result.
I'm adding flour and sugar to my supplies. I bake a lot of bread during the winter. I find it's cheaper during the summer months. God bless you Granny 👍🙏❤️
I also bake from scratch and stock up on baking ingredients when I can. I always have extra yeast too. I also watch for after holiday sales on things like cupcake liners and sprinkles, often they’re on clearance for half off or less.
The price of cane sugar is ridiculous right now. If you find $1 per pound, go for it. Rice, oats, and similar grain staples have also doubled in the past two years. They're available, but we're paying premium for it.
Right, and the ones just marked granulated sugar is often GMO beet sugar. We try to buy grains like oatmeal as organic when we can. More expensive but a lot of the regular grains are sprayed with chemicals.
Hi AG: I'm going to try that tip of adding apple sauce as a topping to your oatmeal.
When I place a WM Pickup order, I find that I receive most of the things I order with very little out of stock items when I have the pickup time set Early!
I put my nuts in the freezer. I usually use mine to bake with and they are always good.
We do the same with freezing and I also vacuum seal them and both ways keep them very fresh.
They're also good straight out of the bag and on dry cereal if needed/desired. I just had some almond slivers with maple flavored Cheerios for breakfast.
Ditto!
Thanks for the reminder going to make a list of last minute things to add before ..
you know
I use Epsom salt, vinegar and dish soap and water in a sprayer to top kill weeds.. then they are easier to pull/ dig out.
This mixture works really good.
Excellent advice as always AG. 👍
Definitely try to buy things with more than 1 use, & try out alternatives, whilst you still can.
TFS AG, take care & keep really busy everyone. 🙂❤️🐶
I like those applesauce cups. Applesauce helps me swallows my pills. Appreciate your idea some are great!
Excellent!
Not for stockpiling, but I used to buy the individual pies at Walmart for 50 cents each. During the pandemic they went up to 75 cents. They are currently 84 cents. I found some on the clearance rack for 64 cents. So, I agree with your statement that when prices are reduced it's from the skyrocketed price and don't match what they were a few years ago.
As always, thanks. Something i noticed this week at Aldi's, I like their powered cocoa and it was not there. I went on line & it said not found so I was wondering bc remember ( a year or more) the Dutch were having trouble acquiring their needed cocoa beans from their source. So if you see maybe purchase 2. Chocolate is a craving for me. 😊
Yes we bought some cocoa and chocolate chips around Christmas when they were on sale and now heard there might be the shortage because of a drought in the tropics that affected the cocoa bean crop.
Hi! Everything you ve said sounds correct !
Thanks for your tips. Also if any of your viewers are on Medicare, have them check their plan because some include being able to get some over the counter medications and supplies once a quarter. We have United Healthcare and they have this offered. You can find things like first aid supples, vitamins and supplments and other basic supplies. It's part of your plan so doesn't cost more to do it. It's a way to get some over the counter supplies without more out of pocket expenses. They probably have the option to discontinue this benefit so good to get some now while it's still available.
Hi how much do you get every quarter through UHC? Thank you 👍
I get a $50/month allowance with CarePlus. I have stocked much of my first aid kit with items from them, as well as vitamins, supplements, cold & flu over the counter remedies.
@@lindanelson4526 is that United Healthcare?
@@LuisaLorenit changed from last year. We used to get $70 per person each quarter. This year they changed it to $60 per person and most of the supplies come through Amazon so they add tax which is counted as part of the $60. But it still helps to get some basics.
You don't get that with original medicare part G...only with advantage plans.
I would add the Quaker rice cakes chili flavor to have along with either peanut butter (satay style) or tinned fish, yum. Jif makes individual servings of peanut butter too. They're good for a grab and go lunch when you're late for work along with instant iced tea and a bottle of water.
Your videos are the best! Thank you!

Are you wanting Food ideas, or Cosmetic uses for it.?
@@maxibake9323 Food, thx!
@@dl4126 Oh, OK, you can use to add depth to Stews, like AG says, but it can be used in Blancmanges, Custards, Jams & Jellies, even frozen Yogurt. It's used for setting certain desserts, so they jiggle basically. It's full of Collagen. Hope that helped. 👍🙂
@@maxibake9323make jello using the juice drained from canned fruits.
Use it in your juices or smoothies ... It's good for the joints .
