Articulated Hen Bugger | A SIMPLE Articulated Streamer | Fly Tying Tutorial

- In this fly tying tutorial Cheech ties the Articulated Hen Bugger.
Articulated flies can be kind of difficult and challenging for a newer tyer so this pattern should simplify this process. If you can tie a wooly bugger, you can tie this fly. Also, as an experienced tyer, it's kind of fun to identify flies that you can quickly tie but still maintain maximum effectiveness... This is that fly. Change up colors, add flash, change weight system etc.

another ace vid (as usual) and great tip about putting a drop of CA onto the cone to glue the whip- thank you
I swear, Cheech could sell a freezer to an Eskimo!
That's easy. Sell global warming, freezer sold!
Gidday Cheech. Great looking fly and helpful techniques. Thanks.
Great video. Thanks Cheech!
Awesome tie! Love the videos!
Nice. I wish someone would make cones you could slip over the hook eye. Tight lines
very nice
Clark and Curtis for those of us that know you mostly from online and don’t have the benefit of living and fishing out west or visiting either of your retail operations how about doing a follow-up video showing the finished product. Give us a detailed tour of the shops so we can drool all over our laptops and dream.
It might make you itch. All the scary euro stuff is everywhere.
Love the technique of twisting up the dubbing loop and feather. Cheech what brand is your dubbing twister?
SMHAEN
Hi Great pattern just wondering what the bead brand is and size thanks 🤙
Would you ever just use a shank instead of a hook in the back?
I never use a rear hook…you just don’t need it. A shank is much better in my opinion as most fish hit the head of a streamer anyway. The rear hook just has too much potential to damage the fish…just my opinion.
@@aa-ron.If you stop fishing in favor of gardening you'll never ever damage a fish mouth and the world would be a better place. No need for fishermen with half a foot in PETA's doorstep...
@@Jon626 wow…what an original comeback response. Do you really think people are as stupid as you are? I like how you naturally go to peta when someone suggests a method that doesn’t do as much damage. Get back in the kitchen and make your wife a sandwich Jon…it will help calm your emotional state.
11 wraps of wire best i can tell. The unwrap them rewrap throws me off
