I’m from Kentucky and haven’t lived there in 12 years and haven’t been back home in several years. I miss it but know I’ll never be back. I’m settled somewhere else. This video did my soul good
If that tractor could only talk, it has seen hard times, good times, love, and laughter. Yes, every video you make with Mr. Ralph is a treasure by itself...
That was a great day for Ralph. You know when you get older you seem to sit and ponder about when you were young. I'm 70 and doing this now. My 2 ND great grandfather stage coach days and the homestead pictures.its good to get them out to share their story in life. Thank you for sharing Ralphs story
Now you're getting up my alley with that old Farmall C. I love Farmalls and have my Daddy's 140. The first tractor I ever drove and used was Grandpa's Farmall Cub.
Ralph! I’m sitting on my Farmall Cub right now, she’s a 1950 and is a working tractor on my property, she’s been with me for over 30 something years. There strong machines like you!!!
Awesome Love Ralph.. he sure had that Tractor a very Long time!! God Bless him! God bless you John and your Sweet Wife! JoAnn age 64 North Florida. Lake City, Fla..
As a kid my grandfather drove me around his farmall tractors he had for years. We had owned a cub, h and super M. So many memories were made on those tractors on our farm. This video gives me great happiness thinking of times spent with him. Thanks for sharing.
I would love to sit in the swing with Ralph and talk about his past. John, I think it's so kind of you to visit and spend time with Ralph., You are so patient with him.
Thanks for the comment and watching the video. It was a great honor for me to make almost 40 videos with Ralph Robertson that I filmed over a two year period. Since his passing in December they have been a surge in his video views here on UA-cam. The series was first posted a few years back on Facebook but at that time the UA-cam Channel only had about 2k subscribers. Now that I’m at over 100k subs “The Greasy Hollow Memories” videos have found a whole new audience.. Come along with me to Greasy Hollow, Tennessee and meet a real Appalachian storyteller that became a living legend. Below is a link to the Greasy Hollow Memories series if you would like to watch more. John Ward ua-cam.com/play/PLhiXVG-s0EOmwKTuG8AZ4_qRBG88DxNtL.html
A half hour show with Ralph telling stories while fixing his tractor or stuff around the farm would be awesome. Monday evening only on the "Appalachian channel"
This is what we need to see so much more of nice feel good stories bless this man and his tractor.....Hey 95 years from now a new tractor today wiil not run much less be around and they say progress???
Thank you for sharing this video about Ralph Robertson and his Farm All Tractor. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. This type of video is, to me, what America is all about. 💯 % AMERICANA. STAN
Hello old school farm tractor before my time Wow a blessing to keep and old tractor around today's farmers get to see what farmers use to use back in the day mr.raph 95 years old wow lord blessed him to see 95 years 🙏.
Good ole Ralph, tryed to take care of his "Trak-tor " fer the last 52years. He bought the Best fuel; always & "greezed it reg-er-ler". New "tar-erz" every 27 er so years, but NEVER spent a "dime on extree" paint. Sure hope my "Trak-tors last this long. Thank you Sir for the Excelent vidio and happy safe tractoring. Best wishes with all your endeavours.
Video showing Ralph as a strapping young man with hair like Elvis and now a man who has seen it all. I always chat with older people when I have a chance. Their stories of earlier times are so often rich with history.
Did Ralph say if the tractor still runs? Great video once again. It's awesome to see Ralph in his glory speaking of his past life. Thanks for sharing. William
My grandfather still has the same 4 tractors he bought 50-70 years ago. He bought a new one about 10 years ago so he didn't have to switch implements anymore snow he has a designated tractor for each use.
My dad is 79 and he remembers everything especially combines. He grew up running horses to pull seeding equipment but they had 2 massey 21 combines and then he went to a massey harris 90 special then a cockshutt combine then a gleaner m2 then a case ih 1660 then the case ih 7120 came along and it was mind blowing for him. Seeding went from horses and diskers to an old massey 401 and a 10 ft disker then went to case 800 with a 15 ft disker to a 930 case wiith a 15 ft disker to a 1370 with 30 feet of john deere diskers then a 4494 with 30 feet of JD diskers to 36 feet of massey ferguson diskers with the 4494 and now to 51 ft and 380 bu cart of new holland air drill. I hope i get to see as much as my dad saw in his life
I should say from the diskers we went to the 51ft new holland with an stx 450 in front of it. Pretty sure my dad loves that stx 450 more than anything he’s ever bought before
It's cool he's had that all these years, I have the 1946 H my grandpa bought brand new, I bought it from him in 1997 and she still purrs like a kitten.
I enjoyed that, thanks! Also, I think the thing on the wagon is the stator from an electric motor. It's way to big to be a tractor generator. I think it being red is just a coincidence.
My Dad had the exact same tractor. A 1950 Farmall C with narrow front end. As a boy I spent many hours on that tractor raking hay, spreading manure, working ground, etc. He sold it in 2001 for more money than he paid for it! Good memories.
I think Ralph's Farmall is an 'H' bigger than a 'C'. My dad had a John Deere model 'B' which was similar in HP and size to a Farmall model 'H', would pull a 2 bottom plow and a 8' tandem disk and 2 row cultivator. We farmed 120 acres with the John Deere 'B'. It did ok but it strained it to run the model 12A combine, a lot of PTO power required and would have helped to have a live PTO like the newer Model 50/60 John Deere tractors.
Love to sit and listen to guys like Ralph talk about the past and it’s even better when they are in their environment where they spent many years. You could see on there face every corner on the farm is a memory and a story. Even though times have changed along with technology we can still learn from these guys like Ralph.
Impressive that Ralph had the wherewithal to purchase that tractor back in 1950 as a 24 yr old! I'll bet he could tell you many stories about that Farmall and him.
I have the 1943 Farmall H my paternal grandfather bought when when my dad was in Europe during WWll. Manual and all purchase paperwork in original cardboard-like sleeve.
We had a older friend of our family who owned a 1949 and 1951 Farmall model A. Used to ride the tractor across his fields with a similar trailer in this video. He would have been 100 years old this year if he were alive.
He looks wonderful at 95. These are precious videos, thanks. In Joy
I wish I had this man's knowledge about farming. Thank you sir for showing us your tractor.
Ralph looks very strong for 95 years old. He's o cute . Thank you for this wonderful channel, keep it going.
Hope we see more of Ralph this year 🇺🇸

I used a tractor almost exactly like that when I was young. I spent many a day plowing tobacco and raking hay on it. Thanks for the memories.

Bet it does not take much to get it running. Might have been parked some years, change of filters, gasoline, oil.
That’s a beautiful tractor! Thank you for sharing. ❤️👍
Our farm had a farm all A, two Cs and two Ms. Growing up I drove all of them but spent many, many hours on the M. Great memories and lifestyle.
My grandfather still has the same 4 tractors he bought 50-70 years ago. He bought a new one about 10 years ago so he didn't have to switch implements anymore snow he has a designated tractor for each use.
Ralph reminds me of my dad, same generation and making videos too.
Nice stories!
That’s a part of an old electric motor and great video thanks

Awesome
The bed head board or bed railing also in with the lawn Moores. The head board is probably older than the tractor.
Awesome. I love old people -

Yes he’s pretty protective over all his things

I enjoyed that, thanks! Also, I think the thing on the wagon is the stator from an electric motor. It's way to big to be a tractor generator. I think it being red is just a coincidence.
He's committed to the brand and till the end God bless him

yes a long history there on that farm. Thanks for the watching my videos! John Ward
Good old strait C Farmall. That tractor originally came with a 6v generator from factory.
Impressive that Ralph had the wherewithal to purchase that tractor back in 1950 as a 24 yr old! I'll bet he could tell you many stories about that Farmall and him.
Would love the full version of the song, please.....do share. Thank you.
I have the 1943 Farmall H my paternal grandfather bought when when my dad was in Europe during WWll. Manual and all purchase paperwork in original cardboard-like sleeve.
It would be neat to see if it had that GM three wire alternator on it in the older video!
Nice god bless
Love that old barn!
That film of him as a young man - pretty rare because no one had a movie camera, but very cool addition to this video!
Yes indeed
Love it!!! ❤❤
Thats part of a big electric motor, It was never a part of that tractor. Love the videos!
Thanks for sharing YEEYEE 👍🤠
You’re very welcome. Thanks for watching.
You need to get the tractor running for him I think he would love that
We had a older friend of our family who owned a 1949 and 1951 Farmall model A. Used to ride the tractor across his fields with a similar trailer in this video. He would have been 100 years old this year if he were alive.

Awww sweet man
Ageing is such an underrated thing in life.
If the Tractor could talk , wow!👍
How is Mr. Ralph? Are you going back to film him anymore?
Love these stories and the people in them. What is the name of the song playing?
seems like a very nice Man. love the tractor.
Sure is
We love ralph!!
Bless him
I enjoyed your video.
Thank you
Grandma owned my super m at least 60 years when she passed.
what's this song /music called?
That's not an alternator on the trailer. It's the field windings from generator or an older electric motor.
thanks
Someone needs to restore that to pristine condition before he dies, it would mean so much to him
Very nice y'all!
Thanks for the watching my videos! John Ward
Cool video, I like your back ground Music 👌. Is it Irish Music?
The background music is called Genticorum-The Appalachian Trail. Thanks for your comment
This reminds me of my dad makes tier up
🥲
It would be nice to see it all restored
she needs a bath but hey she worked. I have a 51 Super C thats apart right now, planning on restoring her next year. Keep on chuggin' Ralph!
