I believe that is why our country is facing a economic crises and our Government of the day should motivate land owners to utilize their land.Just because of the land issue many skilled people are migrating abroad. God bless Fiji.

Our politics and coups are not about the indentured labourers. It has been about personalising the nation and it's economy for selfish esteems to build personal empire and "race" is collateral.

All i can say the ashole,s start from colony , fiji govment ,the land owner,s , naitive land trust board, ..another untold story about farmer,s in Nandroga ..start from natandola toward,s sigatoka they stop the rail way line and the track,s cant handle the road conditions and the cost to transport sugar cane to Lautoka so slowly they stop farming but before that they paid the same amount to save their land and the road condition slowly they either left to near road or town for daily income like me my father saw this coming ..he send me overseas..to stale ..i woud like to request the same people to go and interview in Muka and Navovo at list in Sigatoka. what its was like before and what its like today and what heppen and why ..and how many left in what condition. and road etc like kids how they travel to school , and how they go to the hospital, etc..and who is responsble ..? God bless fiji

This was Qarikau and his government cronies doing. What did Qarikau and his cronies achieve? This had nothing to do with any good intentions when NLTB tenants were displaced. It was just out of total haterd by the people who claimed to owned the land are living in extreme poverty according to statistics released. The natives still can't bear that Indians who do not own any land are still thriving because they are blessed, and the hating natives are cursed forever.. Thank God I left Fiji . Biman and his hypocricy

As indigenous Fijian believe in jesus, our Fijian indo should have a pis of land just like every cultural on Fiji. They came to build our country and we.push them away, that is not good at all. Give the land bk to them.

Perhaps you a correct in a sense Eddie but my opinion is if you are born/bred in Fiji, your way of life, mother language (itaukei), your allegiance to country should be to Fiji only.
Infact do not start transforming our beautiful Fiji Islands to part of India which is what it is seems to be heading to.
      Just exercising my free speech!!

You seem a bit upset , rightfully so but you got to understand the grievances of some of these people. I am indo Fijian , third generation but my story is quite different. My father left Fiji for greener pastures in 1978 after serving in the police force . I was 5 years old at the time . Obviously my grandparents were looking after the farm back in Fiji . My father meanwhile was working hard , educating himself and us siblings and overall doing very well. A very proud indo Fijian and very proud of his service in the force he still displays his photos with his colleagues including the photo of the commissioner of police at the time , still displays photos of some of his colleagues , rugby and soccer representatives from the force . After the first coup my grandparents got displaced from their farm but my father was able to bring them overseas. Unfortunately they are not with us anymore. My father was disappointed that where we were born and grew up was gone . His biggest disappointment was when he used to visit Fiji and visit the farm, he couldn’t believe that once a thriving farmland and a beautiful home was in shambles. Only thing left was a tin shed 10 acres of farmland full overgrown grass and bush instead of sugarcane. One cannot call that progress. If the coup was done in the name of progress, well something went really wrong. You probably realise a lot of prominent and educated Fijians , Indo Fijians , Chinese Fijians and part Europeans left the country after the subsequent coups leaving a void in terms of expertise experience and economic management. And as for myself, I have only been to Fiji twice because there is nothing for me or anything which fancies my interest. No disrespect to the people of Fiji but that’s how it is for now. I regularly read and watch Fiji news and there are lot of bright people on both sides of politics. Fiji has a youthful population which can be of great advantage if the government can maintain law and order educate the youth , keep them free from drug use and crime, the future will be very promising. It’s only early days for the current government but it seems that they are on the right track . God Bless Fiji .

Who has made this documentary and when was it made. Which govt. Was responsible for taking away the lands of the indo Fijian farmers. Is it benimatra govt. Which did this? Because now with this present govt. I see that good is going to be done. But these Indians never came out to even vote for the long existing Indian part the NFP. Mr. Chaudhary may be a good man but it was during g his time that pundits Loken was chased out of his land and he couldn't do anything. I also noted that PM Rambuka has transformed from inside and cries and gets emotional for the coup he was made to do when he had hot blood. Now he has God in his heart and found so much good work for the nation. Do much do even got girmit day where I am sure all the issues shown in the video will be addressed to.
The present govt. has yo vlean up a lot of filth so will take time but the Indians must come out and vote for NFP and Mr chaudhary should join hands with NFP and work in unity rather then going after his name and fame. I will make the next documentary.

This is misleading crap, you cannot own the land or become a Fijian,by twisting the narrative to suit your agenda. Fiji was, and will only belong to the Indegineous Fijian, how you ended in Fiji has nothing to do with the existing natives. You should respect and appreciate that you have been accepted on this land, if not, then, go to the British who brought you here. Fijians don't need you. Take a minute and look around the world today, what is the biggest cause of wars, its the land brother. Word of the wise... RESPECT EXISTENCE OR EXPECT RESISTENSE

Wont let us farm in peace without judging us for our African skin and our slave trade into india history. Wipe those tears
