Owners of Blackpool Pleasure Beach killed of tourists to Blackpool. What used to be a packed out free to enter and pay only for tickets for rides we wanted to ride changed to charge greedy enters cost just to walk around and paying for stupid wrist bands. Since then the decline of Blackpool began as tourists turned there back on the greedy charges people wont pay after they pay to travel and pay for parking also if staying over they booked hotels and guest houses paid for food and drinks etc. Now we see the Pleasure Beach empty and hotels and guest houses, pubs and shops boarded up. The Pleasure Beach greed killed of tourists and visitors away from Blackpool. If Blackpool Pleasure beach removed entry fee and put back ride tickets the tourists and visitors would return. Security excuses for entry fee charges is dated we have police to deal with unsociable behaviour no need for there greedy entry fee that keeps the Pleasure beach empty and boring also Removing kid and family rides for adult rides is another put of for families with kids that visited. The Pleasure beach needs reform free to enter and paying for tickets for rides we want to ride and not expensive wrist bands. They did this and tourist and visitors would pack out Blackpool again.

I used to love visiting Blackpool as a kid, especially going to the H&S nightmare that was the funhouse. Also loved all the various electromechanical amusements, and that bloody laughing clown in a glass box... Terrifying! Also going to see the Christmas lights was a spectacle for the right reasons, back when they weren't all monochromatic, everyone friendly adverts for Beaverbrooks and the like. What a total hole it is now, sadly.
I went to Blackpool in July last year for a week. Stayed in a nice little hotel near Gynn Square a couple of minutes walk from the promenade. I didn't encounter a single problem.
I delivered to chemists in Blackpool years ago and I really had to watch it with the value of medication I was carrying. A lot of people with problems there.
Should have allowed the casinos to open. They would have put money into the town, promised to do up the seafront. People are gonna gamble no matter what. The Las Vegas of the UK!! Short- sighted council.
There are good and bad areas in all Seaside towns. Personally Blackpool is still good for a visit ! The Illuminations start soon and the Christmas Market opposite the Tower is great . As for the £1 burger bar , don't comment on it until you've visited. The burgers and hot dogs are good quality, I always get a hot chocolate with my burger and onions. Great place to stop when I'm on my Ambulance meal break 😊

Blackpool is much worse been to great Yarmouth once It wasn't bad but not good. Blackpool is full of crackheads and alcoholics rolling around in the backstreets from the sea front through the day. At night full of beggars on the street. Been lots of times as a kid it wasn't that bad of a place back then. Once been on a night out was meant to stay weekend just stayed Friday night no where to park car ended up with two parking fines the next morning drove home 😂. Most of it needs knocking down it's no longer a desirable place to go.

Used to go to Yates when I was in Weeton Camp...hasn't changed much,in fact the fencing enhances it's appearance.
They used to do a winter drink called The Blob. Maybe also Grog which was rum and hot water.

❤❤❤ love Blackpool.. can't wait for the illuminations...really disgusted by the video.dont think there is a town in the country you couldn't do this to. I have recently been to different small towns in the north and in Scotland and the neglect is rampant but the councils still rake in the rates.
