The dress Giselle wears during "Fairytale Life" is basically a darker version of the one she wore in "That's How You Know." My favorite store name might be Bibidi Bobidi Butchers, hehe.
I also liked the reference to Idina’s time as Elphaba during the Memory Song: “…like flying on a magic broomstick into the sky…” followed by an extensively long, high beautiful belt reminiscent of Defying Gravity.
It’s unfortunate you didn’t mention that they used the exact same choreography from Rogers & Hammerstein’S Cinderella with Brandy when they enter the ballroom scene and everyone is dancing. I got so excited about that nod to my favorite Cinderella!
The young lady reading her book to sheep is a crossover between Belle and Cinderella. Her outfit is almost exactly like Cinderella's work outfit. And Nancy acts as both Elsa and the Fairy Godmother to Giselle's stepdaughter.
I loved all of the references to Disney properties, though my favourites are probably either Giselle's dressing gown resembling the Fairy Godmother's dress, or the Breakfast song sounding like "Be Our Guest."
Being the "Wizard of Oz" fan that I am, I had to squee at one of the few non-Disney references in "Badder": Giselle wondering if she can find a house to drop on Malvina!
It is CRIMINAL no one noticed Tiana and Naveen making their first live-action debute in a Disney movie!!! They were at the ball. It was SOOOO subtle. I don’t recall them being on screen for more than 1-2 seconds at a time. But it def showed them a few times.
Whatever You Say, this is one of the Best movies of this year 2022! And this was Also the Best video of this Channel yet. Happy thursday Ms Mojo and God bless You, see You soon and greetings from Colombia to You as well.
Oh please, I noticed that too. Think I don’t know Vanellope saying two lines from the Disney song A Whole New World in Ralph Breaks The Internet? Giselle going villain mode with a so-so iconic Disney villain quote, I see what she did there
The fact that they mention no one would tell a story with Maleficent or Cruella makes it more meta when you remember those two are the only Disney Villains to get their own live action movies.
And in case anyone hasn’t noticed but when Nancy and Edward came back Edward asks if Robert was poor and Giselle said it’s what they call a fixer upper and that saying is a reference to frozen when the trolls see that kristoff brought Anna to them and both movies have idina menzel
Anyone else get the sneaking suspicion that Malvina remembered too? Giselle says to Morgan at end that those that wield the magic remember. While she wasn't successful at getting what she wanted from the wand she did technically still wield it. I feel like she was actually pretty nasty but learned a lesson and decided to make a change to be nicer
I did noticed most of them. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, Fantasia, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Snow White, etc etc. Well you get the idea.
*MY FAVORITES:* Opening Scene Cinder-Gisella The Three Gardeners Look Familiar Broadway Disney Royalty Wand-Erful References Nancy & Elsa Sound Alike "Fairytale Life (After the Spell)" Has More References Perfect "Little Town" Ray the Firefly from "The Princess and the Frog" Magic Mirror "Badder" & Malvina's Villainous Cabinet
You mentioned Pumba in the opening but all the other animals were from Bambi. I strongly disagree with the wand being a reference. A wand is common in a lot of shows with magic. Saying Nancy sounds like Elsa is not a reference those lyrics being like Let it Go is the reference. Alan Tudyk being in it is also not a reference.
@@jamieclark7897 hence why I said the lyrics are the reference not Nancy sounding like Elsa cause of course she is going to sound like Elsa. It’s the same person.
Disenchanted also reminds me of Into the woods when Giselle made a her wish of a Fairytale life it reminded how Jack, Cinderella and Baker, Baker Wife making their wishes in the start of the movie.
I actually think in the first fact that was shown in this video, when the camera sweeps under the bridge on the castle, it is actually Edward as a kid, along with his parents (who weren't present in Enchanted). He looks like a younger Edward and the scene is taking place in Andelasia, so it couldn't be Philip.
nonsene on the wish limit the two djinns (ring & lamp) in the "original"* Aladdin had no such limit and no consequences attached *the quote marks are because "Aladdin" & "Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves" were Western additions to the "1001 Nights", hence it's so meta that the latter tale was referenced in both the original "Aladdin" movie & the 2nd DTV sequel "Aladdin and the King of Thieves"
insane but way too many easter eggs and references the original didn't have the extremes like its sequel the reason for menzel and elsa they're the exact voice as each other no difference there raised by animals just look at jungle book raised by wolves
Really, the references in the movie are great, my only problem with the movie is that I thought Giselle had grown up, she has been living in the real world for over ten years, I was sure she would no longer act like a fairy tale princess like in the first movie
I think that's the thing. "Growing up" isn't being cynical and dry all the time. Growing up is learning to be responsible and care for people and things in your life. I believe that she became more realistic over the years, but found that the magic was missing in some way and she wanted to keep it. Her family fell in love with her because of that magic, so why would she get rid of it? She no longer approached people on the streets in strange ways, but she still kept a bit of her culture, Andalasian, with her. That's how it is for a lot of people when they move from another country. If they move from Japan, they don't lose their Japanese culture just because they are living in a new country.
Too bad the movie was so terrible. I love ENCHANTED (I think it's a classic, and deserved more Oscar noms than it got). But I was so upset at how very disappointing DISENCHANTED was. I admit that the wonderful cast tried hard here (especially the superb Adams), but the writing and seriously awful songs let them down. It's such a shame. Even the sets and costumes looked like someone dug them out of a dumpster.

Gabriella did a great job as Morgan, especially as it's one of her first acting roles.
Ikr!

Glad u said that I thought it was only me and my mom. Lol bc my sister did not catch it
Disenchanted was a great film. The amount of refrences in here are immense.
so true
It’s unfortunate you didn’t mention that they used the exact same choreography from Rogers & Hammerstein’S Cinderella with Brandy when they enter the ballroom scene and everyone is dancing. I got so excited about that nod to my favorite Cinderella!
There is also a Frozen reference when Malvina drops the chandelier on Giselle.
The young lady reading her book to sheep is a crossover between Belle and Cinderella. Her outfit is almost exactly like Cinderella's work outfit. And Nancy acts as both Elsa and the Fairy Godmother to Giselle's stepdaughter.
I like that the actress that played Morgan in Enchanted makes a cameo as the lady reminding Giselle about the festival
I loved all of the references to Disney properties, though my favourites are probably either Giselle's dressing gown resembling the Fairy Godmother's dress, or the Breakfast song sounding like "Be Our Guest."
I also saw Giselle's dressing gown as a nod to her dress from Enchanted's "That's How You Know" scene.
I had no idea the chord progression for Disenchanted was similar to the one used for the Beast's transformation! That's amazing!!!! ♥️♥️♥️
The OG Morgan is in the movie as she is reminding her about the dance.
The intro scene with baby Giselle in a basket looks so much like the reference of the jungle book when Bagira finds Mogley in a basket.
Who knew that Pip has his own kids in Disenchanted.🥰
Being the "Wizard of Oz" fan that I am, I had to squee at one of the few non-Disney references in "Badder": Giselle wondering if she can find a house to drop on Malvina!
Also, typical Stephen Schwartz wrote the music for 'Wicked', so of course, he had to add that in
I knew it! Noticed the water splash behind her kitchen like in The Little Mermaid
James Monroe Iglehart also does the voice of Lance Strongbow in Tangled: The Series.
I don't know why this is getting bad reviews because I really enjoyed this!
I like it but I don't think it has the same magic as the first!
@@CSS-Tails_Forever It's not supposed to have the same magic as the first. That's not how sequels work.
@@nonyabusiness3619 ik, sequels are just cash offs of the original :/
I loved this movie. I was a little nervous because I always am when they do a sequel but it was awesome!
Tyson has the same Outfit like Prince eric
I love a Movie with Easter Eggs and References

I noticed them when I watch it
I swear Badder is so catchy ❤️❤️❤️
This movie had so many references but my favorite is when Morgan Cinderella grown Transformation
Whatever You Say, this is one of the Best movies of this year 2022! And this was Also the Best video of this Channel yet. Happy thursday Ms Mojo and God bless You, see You soon and greetings from Colombia to You as well.
Since the sequel came in the works in 15 years, I say they did great
Disenchanted is an Easter Egg Factory!
Am I the only one that recognized the scrolls voice? Alan Tudyk! Heard King Candy in that voice
I saw Disenchanted on Disney+ Last Week
I did a count including disenchanted, so far Alan Tudyk did 29 voices for Disney
Such a Good film with a lot of references to previous Disney features! 😁🧚♂️👑 Looks like classic handrawn animation isn't so obselete after all....
When Pip drops to the floor, he poses like Black Widow when she lands
Oh please, I noticed that too. Think I don’t know Vanellope saying two lines from the Disney song A Whole New World in Ralph Breaks The Internet? Giselle going villain mode with a so-so iconic Disney villain quote, I see what she did there
1:06 i think Thats Edward and his parents
You can see how the actors genuinely had fun with this movie
11:46 I noticed this one, it was actually clever x)
The fact that they mention no one would tell a story with Maleficent or Cruella makes it more meta when you remember those two are the only Disney Villains to get their own live action movies.
The dress and crown Also resembles Regina's look in once upon a time.
I was wondering if that was Regina's coach for The Evil Queen.
Even Sofia would be a great Disney princess baby
What about the cameo from the original Morgan actress at 9:32
I've seen disenchanted it's amazing
Morgans room has a frozen themed door
Ann Harada also originated the role of Christmas Eve in Avenue Q.
I knew there was a lot of hidden Easter eggs in this sequel
Also scroll resembles Ben from treasure planet.
Seriously how could I forget about the Broadway actors
And in case anyone hasn’t noticed but when Nancy and Edward came back Edward asks if Robert was poor and Giselle said it’s what they call a fixer upper and that saying is a reference to frozen when the trolls see that kristoff brought Anna to them and both movies have idina menzel
I did
I loved the love power song. Idina made me cry emotional tears
Alan Tudyk as well does the voice of Alistair Krei from the Big Hero 6 movie and TV Series and KnowsMore from Ralph Breaks the Internet.
And don’t forget tuk tuk in raya and the last dragon
7:20 HOW does the scroll look just like the actor?! HOW did they do that holy crows!!!
Don't you know Idina Menzel does voice Elsa in Frozen?
Anyone else get the sneaking suspicion that Malvina remembered too? Giselle says to Morgan at end that those that wield the magic remember. While she wasn't successful at getting what she wanted from the wand she did technically still wield it. I feel like she was actually pretty nasty but learned a lesson and decided to make a change to be nicer
I've been waiting for this video since I watched the movie
Wow❤loved it super 💪💯
The villan song to me sounds very much like something from gallivant which was a merkin production.
I’m honestly surprised the Cheshire Cat didn’t make a appearance in the movie lol
The dragon sculpture at the staircase is the same dragon sculpture at the grand staircase in the live action beauty and the beast 2017.
I did noticed most of them. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, Fantasia, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Snow White, etc etc. Well you get the idea.
How is Giselle and Morgan's dress shopping callback bittersweet?

The Royal Family from Sleeping Beauty is wrong -- it's Aurora's mother, but Philip's father.
All this is making me think that Andalasia is the place where all Disney fairytales took place.
Or is that just me?
I consider Morgan to be a great Disney princess
Disenchanted was okay but it'll never be better than Enchanted
Who says it will?
You mentioned Pumba in the opening but all the other animals were from Bambi.
I strongly disagree with the wand being a reference. A wand is common in a lot of shows with magic.

The "Pumba" character was in Enchanted also. You see him at the end waiting to get his book signed, so I don't think that was an Easter egg.
I was searching for This an hour ago😅
I guess I should have

Nice!
I thought I saw Camilo from Enocanto in the movie 2. He is at the scene where Morgan's dad is fighting the dragon
No way. That is cool to know
I was just rewatching the movie
I can also see the Cinderella transformation from into the woods.
