I find it so hard to understand why people cannot except that the TV show in the movie or its own separate things and not connected by story in anyway, but yet people still make of the most elaborate theories trying to connect both things

It totally this video makea it seem like they are the same but from the get go i thought they where deferent realities first none of that processed food the pepole in the back where forced to eat and the did not resort to eating other humans in the show but they did in the movie plus the revaluation was a victory where in the movie there where tones of revaluations but they all failed
It’s implied (but not fully explained) in the season finale too. Alice came from a different “maintenance” railway so it’s easy to imagine they were using a parallel railway all along, changing their speed and switching between railways to not cross paths with Snowpiercer 🤷♂️
Or you know read the books the first one is called "Snowpiercer the Escape" it's a very good read but you might get frustrated by them because they are different from the movie and the TV series, and they have their different takes on the story line.
Yeah it would be rubbish if it was a prequel. Like what is the point of showing so many events occurring and changes happening and the bloody possibility of life outside the train if nothing is going to change for another 11 years.

The books actually imply the existence of 10 trains, and the movie is confirmed as being in the same universe as the book because the two characters at the end are seen interacting with the characters from the book. So it's more likely the TV show just takes place in another one of these trains.

I started watching Snowpiercer the TV series last night it was freaking amazing I can't wait to continue it. And yes David Diggs Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris were the point where i said fine I'll give it a shot.
Don't forget the third train Icebreaker from the bande dessinée, i think there's 7 trains in total. Tailles will be mixed as trains merge and cars dropped. Snowpiercer isn't even close to replacing parts with kids yet. I think Leyton, Ruth and other main characters will end up in boxes.
Is confirmed the Tv and Movie are in different spaces. That means The TV has its own universe. And now the next season is about the rescue of snowpuercer in the hands of Wilford. Also the warm continents. So this means the show will end in about 3 seasons now that Netflix has the rights. Same as they did with Lucifer.

it isnt a circulatory track, and big alice can travel in both directions due to its duo-cockpit systsem. This means it would be easy to avoid snowpiercer.

The biggest continuity issue if the movie train and the TV train are the same is Gilliam. They could fix that by having him show up and be a minor character now and gradually become a major character, but not being there at all is an issue.
This video was done more than a year ago, so at that time, season 3 wasn't finished filming, let alone available for view. Edit to add: I'd like to see another video by the same person for an update of sorts here... even though they're completely unrelated.

In regards to cinematography, the movie reminds me of the movie12 Monkeys, and the show reminds me of the show 12 Monkeys. They got rid of the French style of cinematography, like City of lost children.

I believe that the show is not set in the same universe and do not affect the story of the movie. I believe that if the uprising of Leyton happened in the movie canon, it would have to be mentioned, since Tailies wouldn't just forgotten about the time they ruled the train. Also, there are some difrences in the backstories, for example how they stoped cannibalism in the back of the train, with layton defeating canibal group in a first months of the travel while movie Tailes would do that difrently. Let's also mention the that train designs are difrent and there's the whole Big Alice that we don't see a trace of nowhere in the movie.

If they had survived on the train and endured its tyranny humanity would have survived and Curtis made the wrong decision

It’s got it’s highs and lows. It’s hard to ride (hehe get it?) on such an unbelievable plot for 10+ episodes without breaking the illusion so I’d say the showrunners are doing a fine job, but don’t expect the best TV series in the world.

The track isn't circular. There are several tracks. Tracks that come into play as the plot needs, but they are there.
