Yes. If a polar bear has been able to survive, humans could definitely survive. The issue is that none of the world were equipped for the sudden temp change, so it’s likely that all human life as well life outside of the Arctic died. Something I've never heard mentioned before but in Snowpiercer when they get to the school children car, there is a white kid wearing a black face mask complete with a bucket on his head.... Charlie Bucket was originally supposed to be black..🧠💥
Great spot! Didn’t notice that - and interestingly, that kid with the black face mask and the bucket on the head is prominently in shot when Tanya says ‘Timmy’... Links up visually and verbally! 🤩
People complaining this is conspiracy theory, c'mon, this is fucking movie, not real life, is it so hard for a director to pay homage to a classic movie? It's not like it defies logic...
Well said man. Some folk are just so precious. Gate keeping the meaning of a movie is just as pointless as PETA protesting captive fish in animal crossing. Makes no sense. Harms no one and is a waste of time
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (movie) was based in the 70s and not '63. There is a scene with a peace symbol in chalk on a wall that Charlie walks past in a construction site / ally of sorts. That pushes your start of timeline 10 years back making the age difference less and makes the charaters right in line with each movie. No longer 90 but 80. It fits.
One thing I found at the tunnel part is that in Willy Wonka, it’s Veruca Salt that wants the boat to stop. And in Snowpiercer, it’s Minister Mason. Both these two characters are said to be the same figure. So…
The comment about Timmy made me realise when Wilford says to Curtis he's the first one to travel the full length of the train he straight up lies lol. All the kids do the journey.
Also not only the cabinets look like chocolate, but the whole room mirrors the beginning shot of Willy Wonka showing the CHOCOLATE BEING MADE, chocolate looking furniture, metal rods like those in an assembly line, melted chocolate as the floor, Wilfords apparel like a box of chocolates, the golden woman as the ticket like he mentioned, and it being the only part of the factory thats automated.
and sometimes they're just there because they're there. You're not really that naive to believe every little prop always has a meaning? Just to prove the point, look up the Three Men and a Baby ghost.
Me: *knows that snowpiercer was a comic that the authors who only trusted Bong Joon-Ho to show on screen.* Also me: I know for a fact that snowpiercer is a direct sequel to Charlie and the chocolate factory.
nobody made connections between violet and the pregnant woman, but i think that the way violet's mom controls violets life, can represent this woman taking care of all the children
....The train matching the opening song to the original is creepy as hell. I didn't expect that at all. It's all so uncanny and surreal. You're genius for picking that up and connecting it. Kind of sucks to think the original might've eventually led to this. Such a grim end.
This theory isnt true at all.. maybe the director being a genius found these correlations and wanted to connect both stories. But Snow Piercer is a book of 3 books. There are 2 Snow Pierce continuation and world stories. They arent Willy Wonka at all. The author definitely didnt connect the stories but maybe the director wanted to.

I hate the Loompa's to this very day. Creepy little b@stards kept me up some nights sick with fear.
Decuiron I mean the kid actors were scared to because they weren’t told about that scene being that way.
Fuck that boat scene hell there's a dead guy in one of the shots
"Here's the scarf again when we first meet Wilfred"
*Arrow pointing to random piece of clothing that isn't even the same colour
You do realize color on clothing fades?, especially if they're half a century old
@@eder7468 tbf he does have a point
even if the cloth's color wore off the patten of the scarf is completely different to the scarf given to Charlie.
plus this guy has too farfetched points even to this theory such as
▪︎this guy is short = oompa loompa
▪︎the bucket = charlie bucket
I thought it was some sticks to idk
Also next to the scarf is a TOP HAT
At this point, I don't even care if it's the truth or not. It's real for me and it elevates both films.
Wow! And the plot thickens further! Lol think I'm convinced
Haha, the more you look, the more you find!
Now all we need is a third movie that shows us how everything happened.
Ok everything was a stretch until the music part now I am convinced and my life is not the same.
In 2063 we need to make a kids film that is secretly a sequel to Snowpiercer
The Adventures of Yona and Timmy
We are all chosen by the algorithm. Welcome.
The algorithim is merciful
We must provide the SACRIFICE
Imagine if it was called Willy-Piercer.
I’d be scared as fuck...
D.K this is very unappreciated. Great job.
It fits.
I see you took notes on matt pat's new Willy Wonka video.
One thing I found at the tunnel part is that in Willy Wonka, it’s Veruca Salt that wants the boat to stop. And in Snowpiercer, it’s Minister Mason. Both these two characters are said to be the same figure. So…
You are doing some Olympic gold medal level asspulls here. Especially with that “scarf” hahahaha
Rhino Stew got me with the analysis of the scenes, you sir absolutely reaffirmed that with the analysis of the music
The comment about Timmy made me realise when Wilford says to Curtis he's the first one to travel the full length of the train he straight up lies lol. All the kids do the journey.
true, but he made it by himself out of his own free will, as opposed to the kids, who were prisoners
Also if you look on top of the scarf in Wilford’s room 5:04 you can see somthing that looks like a top hat
Holy shit yeah well spotted
I saw that too, wonkas hat lol
Hehehee *willy piercer*
TVv 1 lol
Snow Willy
What the fuck guys
haha. you guys sound like my highschool locker room
That bucket was there as a prop on purpose. I'm in a Film class and they teach us that everything in a shot is done on purpose and for a reason.
and sometimes they're just there because they're there. You're not really that naive to believe every little prop always has a meaning? Just to prove the point, look up the Three Men and a Baby ghost.
Looks like this was recommended to everyone just today.
exactly
Yup
Me: *knows that snowpiercer was a comic that the authors who only trusted Bong Joon-Ho to show on screen.*
Also me: I know for a fact that snowpiercer is a direct sequel to Charlie and the chocolate factory.
I watched the Rhino video and came right after, now I'm even more mindblowned... I'm 99.999% convinced these two movies are connected
nobody made connections between violet and the pregnant woman, but i think that the way violet's mom controls violets life, can represent this woman taking care of all the children
....The train matching the opening song to the original is creepy as hell. I didn't expect that at all. It's all so uncanny and surreal. You're genius for picking that up and connecting it. Kind of sucks to think the original might've eventually led to this. Such a grim end.
Maybe Snowpiercer is a sequel to Willy Wonka but they couldn't get the rights so they had to be low-key about it.
Exactly.
That polar bear was the happy ending. Showing that life was indeed possible out there
UA-cam's Algorithm is scary sometimes. Rhinostews video yesterday and this today...
At least its not progeganda
Same
Rawr_ 24 same
So, what do you like to watch in your free time?
Me: it's complicated...
This video just appeared in everybody's recommended even though it came out a year ago
isabella tf yes
I'm mindblown by the theory, it's so reminiscent
Yup
Exactly lol
I heard NetFlix is doing their own version of Willy Wonka. They've even casted Daveed Diggs as Charlie. Maybe YT is giving NetFlix a good looking out.
Even if its not true, I belive the writer of the movie make reference on Willy Wonka’s insane vision of industry
youtube algorithm has once again delivered a gift
who else just got both in their recommended and just said "screw it yeah i'll watch that I got nothing else to do inside"
i just watched snowpeircer fir the first time, it came out 7 years ago, watched a theory that came out more than a year ago and all the comments are from this week, what the hell
The mystery of algorithms.
Lmao it was on private and he reenabled the vid ain’t too crazy
@@Looneyboy makes sense
When he says "that piece of equipment went extinct" is he saying that OOMPA LOOMPAS WENT EXTINCT??
Yea, that's the idea
Yeah. Cause if you notice the equipment controls are made for little people. That’s why he needs kids a certain size.
Yep, they went extinct because, being from warm climates, they cannot stand the cold and well, Snowpiercer it's the damn second ice age sooo yeah 😞
So... this is what kool aid tastes like.
Watching this, I get the feeling Rhino Stew didnt go this deep into the fine details for a very good reason.
Why did it literally take a quarantine to make snow piercer pop off? This film is fucking fantastic
Riley Walker Wym since this movie came out its been a high praised movie.
elr4f4 not as high as it should be
I have been wanting to watch it because of this theory. And I finally watched it on Netflix after waiting for months
It's funny you say this...I literally started singing "Pure Imagination" at the end of Snowpiercer long before I even heard this theory
Grandpa Joe is the reason whythe world went to shit and therefore turned Charlie into Willford, no questions asked.
Grandpa Joe hate is real and valid
I think these parallels are just the Director's subtle way of expressing his love for Willy Wonka
After his original video, that Rhino guy went on for like 6 hours and said almost nothing new about this topic. Thank you for providing a concise, poignant video about the connections between these two movies.
yeah, tried watching the original guys’ other videos but he was just yapping and milking the original content. This is interesting, though
What a loser!
@@RhinoStew LMFAO
his 2nd video was a love letter for the director. nothing wrong with that, but the click bait title isn't smart
Ikr he just yapped for like 4 hours without saying anything of substance just using clickbait title
the original video by rhino stew was in my recommendations.. then i came and watched this.. both videos were made in 2018.. and we all watching it in June 2020.. not to mention that snowpiercer was released in 2013.. youtube is definitely hiding something... lol
OMG!! You are the first one commenting this! Wow! Your originality is outstanding!! Bravo!
Something minor, but notice in the remake that it is constantly snowing, and the family huddles together as if the world is getting colder.
The W logo in Snow piercer is what really sold me that it's related to CaTCF.
Who else was blessed with this in the recommendations? I watched the first one awhile ago and just now saw this one
So everyone else got this and the original one back in their feed after 2 years?
Something I recalled that is also interesting was that in the Tim Burton remake Wonka mentions that the Oompa Loompas can't stand the cold. So them going extinct due to the climate could be a possibility.
Yeah, cold climate plus poor work conditions = extinction
The music thing fully convinced me (i was more or less convinced before), there's absolutely no way that's an accident
You mentioned his scarf but you didn’t even point out the top hat that looks exactly like wonkas hat right behind the scarf on the shelf
My jaw dropped at the end of this with the final theory. I just watched it for the first time yesterday and now I'm going down the rabbit hole. Absolutely amazing
can't say I agree with everything you bring up in the video, but the music cues have me even more convinced after watching the original video
Did this just show up in everybody’s recommendation section or was it just me?
wtf same
Yup same here.
Let’s talk Sports yep i guess that’s why it popped up for me too
Same
I dont know why but the name of this theory "Wonkapiercer" sounds like a name of a porn movie
Fax 🤣
I know why
Lmao
Willypiercer 😏
The funny thing is the time line matches
