My favorite Sega Genesis Games are: Mortal Kombat 1-3 + UMK3, Comix Zone, Alien 3, Judge Dredd, Jurassic Park, RoboCop vs. Terminator, RoboCop 3, Virtua Fighter 2, Strider, Batman Returns, Demolition Man, Dick Tracy, The Lawnmower Man, Cyber-Cop, Darwin 4081, Clayfighter, Contra: Hard Corps, SeaQuest DSV, Tetris, Streets of Rage, X-Men 1-2, Prince of Persia.
Fun facts: -This was posted on UA-cam's old posting restrictions of only 10 minute videos, and I forget how many MB it had to be under to be allowed. -I spent s couple of days of my life putting games into my Genesis to get 6 seconds of footage of each game. -I used my old Dazzle DVC 170 to capture this footage. -Some of these games were sale games my brother was selling at the time, so to this day, I don't own every game in this footage, but did have them on hand at the time. -In the footage of Mercs at 4:18 is almost looks like I lined the explosion up with the music, but it was totally on accident. -To this day, I have no idea why Ranger X muted the music. It was a glitch in the video from Pinnacle Studio 10, that I couldn't figure out how to fix when I went back to try and fix it. -Double Dragon 3: The Arcade game is mediocre, but I love the "America" Theme in the game. -The rest of the music is from Contra: Hard Corps, Combat Cars (The MK sounding theme, and the "What is love sounding theme), Sonic 2 (Ending theme), and Streets of Rage 2 (Ending theme)
+Ladderthief1 Funny you say that. When I got toy story for Xmas all those years ago. I remember the graphics blowing me away. I still think its the best looking game on this console.
@Alianger I liked Ballz personally, but could never see the big deal about Bubsy. I remember it getting a bunch of press like it was a good game, but I could never see it.
@MegaMacTV I'm still sorting through a lot of them. I know I'm selling all three Shinobi games in one lot. I had Revenge on the 6-pak, but I've never owned the carts for Shadow Dancer and Shinobi III, but I have The Sega Genesis Collection on the PS2, and Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on the PS3, so I can still play those two on that.
I had a Genesis, and it holds a great deal of nostalgia for me, but just like yesteryear, it still sounds like a bunch of farts. I can't get over the music.
I still, to this day, have no idea why Ranger X was just way too cool to have music in this video. Lol. For some reason, no matter what I did, I couldn't get the music to play for those short 6 seconds of footage.
@tapirtoonthree My personal collection is around 65-70 Genesis games, but the lot I bought puts that way over 100 Genesis games. I'm going to be selling a lot of them off though.
@paulsimonisthebest Well, there's a lot of games I don't have. I could make a couple of theses vids, and not please everyone. It all depends on your experience with the systems. Some people had a great time with certain games they think are great where others never even played it. I think I have played a Jim Power on the Snes (In 3D or something), but that's the only one.
Do any of you remember a game for the sega? You were a warrior woman (i think, you were a girl in the game anyway) and there was a fairy following you that was yellow, it would change colour to blue and green depending on your health. I remember playing this game when I was young but can't remember the name. I know this is kind of a bad description of it but it's all I remember. If any of know this game, please tell me the name of it.
I have a problem. I really want to record off of my genesis, but with every game I try, it always says its "Copy Protected", and it forbids me to record the game. I even went out of my way to buy an older model 1genesis so it wouldn't have the copy right screen before the game starts, but I still have this problem. If anyone can help me, please respond.
@mankindkn I just asked on the Gamfaqs Genesis board, and member duo21 suggested this to me: Dahna - Megami Tanjou It looks to be exactly what you described.
Hey, Im looking for a game. Im not sure if its in Sega consoles, but you play as a character, going through a stage with different funny enemies themed after something, like bats, or bees or mushrooms and the final stage allways ends with going through a scrooling shooter game, shooting the stage themed enemies and fighting a boss, like a beequeen, or a giant bat, or a icemonster or a giant mushroom. Is there someone who knows what game Im talking about?
im trying to find an old game i played on a sega console, but no matter where i look it doesnt seem to exist. you played as a little space dude who i think was a furry? and you could run really fast up walls. there was a moon level but they did the "the moon is made of cheese" thing. it was like a sonic knockoff but not really. im going insane i think
That's hard to say, I didn't play a lot of platformers I. That generation. I can give you a list of ones it could be. Zero Kamikaze Squirrel, High Seas Havok, Rocket Knight Adventures, Sparkster, Zool, Busy, Awesome Possum.. and not sure off the top of my head what others
do u know the name of this game?u play as a girl starting off on the back of a giant then a wizard casts a spell on him and u continue as the girl with a sword,in the first stage u go up a burning house, the second level u r on the back of a horse on a mountain and u jump obstacles
im trying to remember the name of the game where there r 2 dude red or blue using jett pack and u can spin them around while shooting if anyone know please tell me, thankz
I had to go with the games I owned, or had on hand physically, so Bubsy I had, but Monster world 4 I did not. These are physical games from my own collection, or ones that I was reselling at the time. I have since acquired Wonder Boy in Monster World, but not Monster world IV. The only other Wonder Boy game I have is the second on the Master System.

Can we be honest with ourselves? I am not console fanboy I didn't own a sega or super Nintendo when I was little. I have both now and if anyone honestly thinks the super Nintendo has a worse library than genesis you are delusional. Super Nintendo has the top 3 video game libraries of all time hands down and that's not even me including sfc games.
I'm one of those "suckers" who believes in working for the things you want in life. Besides, Roms are no authentic, and a lot run like poop. Original game on original system is still the best experience.
I have EVERY sega mega drive and master system game ever all of them combined is less then 1gb!!!! To Think Gta V Is 60gb ( not including dlc/updates and addons) FUCKING BAT SHIT CRAZY!!
O MY GOD! THE NOSTALGIA IS TRYING TO KILL ME WITH THE FEELINGS GUN
the genesis sega games library is the best 16-bit
I saw these videos 5 years ago, I have fond memories when I come back here
Strange to think I put this video up over 11 years ago now. I'm old, lol.
Some of my very best times in gaming was during the Genesis/Super Nintendo era. Oh the memories.
My favorite Sega Genesis Games are: Mortal Kombat 1-3 + UMK3, Comix Zone, Alien 3, Judge Dredd, Jurassic Park, RoboCop vs. Terminator, RoboCop 3, Virtua Fighter 2, Strider, Batman Returns, Demolition Man, Dick Tracy, The Lawnmower Man, Cyber-Cop, Darwin 4081, Clayfighter, Contra: Hard Corps, SeaQuest DSV, Tetris, Streets of Rage, X-Men 1-2, Prince of Persia.
Back when Sega did, what Nintendon't.
lol
Erasto Rodriguez Sad now how much Sega actually bashed Nintendo in the 90's. And then they wen't under and have sucked up to Nintendo ever since. :P

Hell yeah! Great video. :)
I've been playing quite a bit of Genesis lately.
Jesus, Toy Story looks glorious. Way better than most games I've seen. Almost end life PS1, mid PS2 life cycle quality.
+Ladderthief1 Funny you say that. When I got toy story for Xmas all those years ago. I remember the graphics blowing me away. I still think its the best looking game on this console.
Earth Worm Jim 1/2, MK Ultimate 3, Contra Hard Corps ought to top the list withouth a question.
@Alianger I liked Ballz personally, but could never see the big deal about Bubsy. I remember it getting a bunch of press like it was a good game, but I could never see it.
i miss these games
Great video games on Sega Genesis

wish I knew what capture card you used, the footage looks great and it's so hard to record the Genesis as opposed to the SNES
The same crappy dazzle I have used since 2007. I also used composite cables for the genesis.

all of them combined is less then 1gb!!!!
To Think Gta V Is 60gb ( not including dlc/updates and addons) FUCKING BAT SHIT CRAZY!!
comix zone epic game
not very different from the Master System in terms of graphics
+0YTMan I can certainly remember a huge difference in graphics between my master system and mega drive.
+Mikee Remastered yeah I agree. I had battletoads on my master system and on my Genesis. Huge difference
Name of the song?
