Bus 25 - Back to School (2003 Bluebird GMC CV200)

Driving back to the school after my afternoon route in a spare bus. I actually really enjoyed driving this bus, it drives surprisingly well. I don’t know why, but this is my personal favorite video I have made. Hope you enjoy!

Great video! We had old bus number 7; 2003 Chevy Bluebird CV200, with a CAT3126 and an Allison automatic. Loved it, rock solid dependable! It has been replaced by a 2015 IC Corp, CE with a Cummins.

This looks like a fun bus to drive! I've not had the chance to drive a CV200 yet, but I'd like to at some point. Also love the 3126! Maybe I'm biased, though.

when i drove in the early 2000's my first bus was a 1986 International then a 1989 both bluebirds no A/C in florida hot.

Really awesome video! Love seeing those old Blue Birds. They have a awesome build quality! I am also a huge fan of the maroon-colored seats/door compartment padding. We had some 03 A3FEs like that and they looked really great.
EDIT: Is this a former Alabama bus? The decal in the top left on your mirror looks like the "driver seat belt use required" decal which every Alabama bus has to have. I was kinda suprised that I caught on to it that quick lol

You have a good eye! It is a former Alabama bus. It came from Ozark City Schools and was bought by use circa 2015. We have a lot of buses that came from south Alabama, most of which came from Houston County Schools. We started buying new IC CE’s in 2020 with Covid grant money.

We have a couple of 2012 IC BE handi buses. But we have a jump from 2007 to 2021 in our gen ed buses. The 2007’s were our last used buses purchased before we started buying new during Covid.
