in japan they have bath tubs and there is a control panel in the bathroom and you can set what temperature you want your water to be and it does it for you then does the beeping sound and says that its ready after like 30 minutes
Shin grew up so fast awww, I remember he's only a cute little bean who wants to play gacha-gacha in the past videos hahaha. Anyway, this is so cool! I want also this for my dinner.
This reminds me of my mother making sukiyaki. We didn't have it often because she said it was difficult to find the right meat here in the U.S. I see why now. She passed last month. Thank you for bringing back such a nice memory. I also loved the onigiri she would make.
Sorry to hear. My condolences. Yes, it kind be hard to find the meat cut like that in Canada as well. We would go to a Japanese butcher shop, although I'm assuming any butcher could do cuts like that.
Shin acts EXACTLY like my 7 year old little brother, it warms my heart! I showed your channel to my mom and sisters and they all agreed hahaha! Sending love from Texas!
These kids are the cutest! I miss japan. I just fell in love with how everything is simple yet beautiful. Last month (dec2017) I stayed there for 2weeks and i cant wait to be back.
It's crazy- Shin is so much like my son. The mannerisms, his character, silly bubbly behavior they even look similar. Aiko and Shin are so responsible and it's extremely impressive though that may be due to cultural (I'm from Australia) differences? Most children in Japan are taught to help in the kitchen from a young age? Your videos are so interesting and refreshing- keep up the good work
Where I'm from in France we have something similar. We call it "pierrade" and it's not exactly a grill but a hot stone. The device is about the dimensions as the one in your video, we put it at the center of the table and everyone can grill its food. It's mainly a meat dish, that we then eat with various sauces.
Same here, typical Christmas thing, usually involves a lot of meat and is on an iron hot plate. Though our doesn't drain as well. And I need to try those ingredients. Oh and they often have small little cute frying pans here to make small pancakes and omelettes with it.
i was forced to learn how to cook and be responsible and to help around the kitchen or else my mom would make me feel so disappointed in myself 😭😂 maybe 'cause i'm asian. thank god, cooking is so easy now
My mom used to be scared whenever i cook when i was around 5-8 or cut some vegetables or what with a knife. But now? Nahh not anymore she literally makes me cut every single Vegetable she wants me to cut

I sometimes do something similar at my house too here in the US! My family is Viet, so we sort of have this grill thing where we grill squid, shrimp, and some beef that's been marinated with lemongrass before-hand. After we grill it using a fragrant butter, we usually use it in rice-paper wraps and then dip it into a special fish sauce. It's really good!
I really like the way how their way of eating at the table brings all family members together, since the food isn’t ready to eat everyone eventually have to wait for the food to cook. That’s nice.
I love love love how you edit your videos, it feels like we’re old friends meeting up for a few hours xx your family and home is so warm and cozy, please never stop making these films

In the Netherlands we have something very similar called a gourmet set or gourmet stel the activitity is called gourmetten. It is most often reserved for special occasions like Christmas, new year or Easter when gathering with family. Some people take their gourmet stel with them on a week or weekend holiday with extended family. I really like the Japanese design with water to prevent burn in; our local designs don't have that.
Aww Shis has grown so much! does't look like that little kid running around the frame anymore! I'm from New Zealand. We have outdoor barbeques. It's good fun. We usually have things like sausages, burger patties. hash browns, onion rings etc grilled on them. We'd have things like bread and salads to go with them. And condiments like barbeque sauce, mustard and tomato sauce.
