I find myself slowly going towards LED lights and appreciate this video. I don't think I would invest in the P80, but that is a financial decision only.

I use LED lights from time to time for special effects. They work at more wide open apertures, but I like to shoot at f8 usually in the studio. They can't hang there.

compared to the aeos 2 or neo 3?

I have never compared the lights directly. The AEOS 2 is more than seven times the price and the Neo 3 is three times the price. They appear to have more accurate color (97 vs 99). They may be marketed toward different people. The Roto stuff clearly looks better built (to me). If I were using the light on remote sets day in and day out, in a rugged environment, the Roto stuff may be a better option, but if you're in a situation where you simply want accurate color, easy controls etc. The P80 can be that light for most people, at a fraction of the price.
It reminds me of Godox / Flashpoint vs Pro Foto. If money weren't an issue, most people would likely go Pro Foto. But most people can't, so Godox / Flashpoint can fill that need. The Pixel lights are definitely marketed toward a budget photographer/videographer, but still have features that would make professionals happy.
      Thanks for the watch!

@@KevinDeal Yes my godox ad600 and 2 ad200 are amazing I did just grab a neo 3 it is great so far but is it worth the extra at this time I have no opinion as I have not had a lower priced item to compare it to as well.

@@DAVE_WHITE it really depends on your needs, for sure. There may be one or two features that the Neo 3 offers you that the P80 doesn't. Personally, I don't need it to be insanely rugged and that very slight color precision bump the Neo would give me likely wouldn't translate to my work. But I can definitely see why the Neo 3 is a great fit for some and the P80 others.
