Nobody amongst his circle of peers believed he was a killer until they saw solid proof, as he disguised himself as a extremely outgoing, nice and "genuine" guy incredibly well.

Wow same thing with OJ, until the DNA proof came out.
Nothing is more scary than a very smart serial killer
He wasn’t smart, just slightly charismatic and white
Is your logic white men = evil ?
@@PossessedPotatoBird h3 actually was very smart and 2hat does being white got to do with it
@@TheNiftyManiac what
@@mikehanson7572being white in the 1900s…. think about it
One thing I noticed throughout these videos on serial killers is that the police were very oblivious to things back then
The 60s and 70s were the 'Golden Age of Serial Killers' for a reason, a bunch of federal, state, and local police departments with overlapping jurisdiction that fought each other constantly over who got to do what, where, and when, and who got what information. And as the video noted, computer databases were JUST starting to be a thing, so even if you wanted to share information, it was a very slow process.
It makes sense though if you think about it, serial killers were a relatively new thing back then like how school shooting scumbags are relatively new to us now. Police have trouble with this stuff because there is little in the way of past cases to look at for cross referencing etc. or tactics for stopping them during or before the act
“Back then” LOL
@@bergybomb3764 It was not necessarily new at all but it’s more likely that it’s because of the lack of technology they had. Think of all the serial killers who would’ve been caught if they had the technology we had today.
Only with white people be clear about that
Did you notice the video didn't explain how he got his hands on a hacksaw blade?? It's because he didn't use a hacksaw to escape the jail in Glenwood Springs. He used part of a typewriter.
Inside the old IBM Selectric typewriter, there's a metal sawtoothed, carriage guide. Bundy demanded an IBM Selectric so he could work on his case. He removed the carriage guide from the typewriter and used that to saw his way out of the Glenwood Springs Jail. I know this, because I worked for the office machine company that the County rented the Typewriter from.
Wow!
@@tiffanylyons4474 yeah. Some of the things that POS did. He was definitely smart.

I like how this version of Ted Bundy has a unibrow throughout the video
It fits him
@@michaeldancer3281 Indeed
Its amazing that he was "white as a sheet" scared of dying to the electric chair. He should've thought of that when he took all those people's lives. He still had a sense of self preservation which makes it somewhat satisfying that he got what he deserves. Would be less so, if he just accepted it like most psychopaths tend to do.
Makes me wonder what went into a "Bundy Burger", must have been well-beaten...

It is pretty incredible that Extremely Wicked movie was accurate about quite a number of things. I guess they were able to reduce the number of things they needed to changed for the movie.

This is actually something that happens often with these type of characters in movies. Same thing happened in Goodfellas with Tommy devito. His character in the movie is extremely dangerous and scary but nonetheless toned down from the real life version

Can you imagine being able to board a plane as an accused serial murderer?
It was a different time.. a simple time
to be fair alot of criminals that know they're gonna be there for the rest of their life the only thing they can think about is a escape plan nobody wants to serve a 223 year sentence
Best ending ever guy escapes and escapes then tries his evil murderous way in Florida then Florida lights him up like a Christmas tree in the chair best end to a evil vile monster.
Lighting him up didn't really solve or help anything though. He got off the easiest he could have. Rotting in prison is way worse than a quick death. His death penalty was only worthless vengeance that didn't benefit any victim
@@smoshbooz I disagree, his execution kept him from escaping and murdering again. 100% of executed felons, NEVER re-offend.

So back then we had oblivious cops that didn’t believe anything without solid evidence and now todays times we have police officers jumping to conclusions straight away. What is happening why can’t there be an in between
they're too lazy to think
My mom was in Ted Bundy's LDS congregation when he joined the church to fit in in Salt Lake better. She said she was sitting behind him in church one day, and she couldn't focus on the meeting. She just kept staring at the back of his head and she could feel it on him. She could feel that there was something terribly not right-something evil about him. She said that it made her sick to be that close to him and when he was arrested it came as zero shock to her. She just said, "I knew there was something terribly evil about him."
I’m also LDS. I could only imagine how people felt in the ward he was in after learning it all. Utterly terrifying. 😰
Just the thought that he became a member frightens me. Not because he was one in general, but because he was a murderer hiding in plain sight coming to worship.
I hate the fact that these serial killers are so freaking smart and know just about everything to manipulate you or trick you it really is scary and gives me trust issues
i respect him so much
@@definitelynotchris who? Ted Bundy? Why do you respect him.
Being a sociopath and understanding how to "play the game" go hand in hand. They dont feel in the same way, but theyre very good at learning to feign it
The ted bundy conversation with a killer netflix show comes to mind when I watch this.

A charming and collected insane man will always be way more dangerous than a loose Cannon

"He needs no introduction". Proceeds to introduce him.
Love the animated unibrow, nice touch
Not the Anthony Davis eyebrow 😂
It's really messed up to say, but he's absolutely right. It used to be that the police determined whether or not your actually guilty. Now it's whether or not it they can pin whatever crime your accused of on you. Makes you really think if some of these people are actually guilty.
No no it doesn’t make you think

The Mormon church is a cult. Don't lie to people. Your book is a lie, and your "prophet" is false and your church is intolerant toward anyone outside of it's circle.

I just don't get it.i can't feel what these people feel. It has always been hard for me to see how people can see a monsters perspective for long enough to catch them. That period of the persons lives charged with finding and incarcerating these monsters. Seeing that part of life. Absolutely terrible. I hope one day we can eradicate this behavior.
These kind of people have been around since the Bible days, society will never eradicate anything...it's life
@Nikki Sixx life has a funny way of proving things differently than what we as people commonly understand to be true. Perhaps the solution to the problem is one we do indeed face.
