    Nobody amongst his circle of peers believed he was a killer until they saw solid proof, as he disguised himself as a extremely outgoing, nice and "genuine" guy incredibly well.

    One thing I noticed throughout these videos on serial killers is that the police were very oblivious to things back then

    • @jbshiva865
      @jbshiva865 2 роки тому +63

      The 60s and 70s were the 'Golden Age of Serial Killers' for a reason, a bunch of federal, state, and local police departments with overlapping jurisdiction that fought each other constantly over who got to do what, where, and when, and who got what information. And as the video noted, computer databases were JUST starting to be a thing, so even if you wanted to share information, it was a very slow process.

    • @bergybomb3764

      It makes sense though if you think about it, serial killers were a relatively new thing back then like how school shooting scumbags are relatively new to us now. Police have trouble with this stuff because there is little in the way of past cases to look at for cross referencing etc. or tactics for stopping them during or before the act

    Did you notice the video didn't explain how he got his hands on a hacksaw blade?? It's because he didn't use a hacksaw to escape the jail in Glenwood Springs. He used part of a typewriter.
    Inside the old IBM Selectric typewriter, there's a metal sawtoothed, carriage guide. Bundy demanded an IBM Selectric so he could work on his case. He removed the carriage guide from the typewriter and used that to saw his way out of the Glenwood Springs Jail. I know this, because I worked for the office machine company that the County rented the Typewriter from.

    Its amazing that he was "white as a sheet" scared of dying to the electric chair. He should've thought of that when he took all those people's lives. My mom was in Ted Bundy's LDS congregation when he joined the church to fit in in Salt Lake better. She said she was sitting behind him in church one day, and she couldn't focus on the meeting. She just kept staring at the back of his head and she could feel it on him. She could feel that there was something terribly not right-something evil about him. She said that it made her sick to be that close to him and when he was arrested it came as zero shock to her. She just said, "I knew there was something terribly evil about him."

    Ted Bundy is led to the electric chair. He takes a ghastly look and shrieks, 'Is it safe?' "No sir Mr. Bundy, more power to you."

    What puzzles me is what made him do it. Hes the complete opposite of many serial killers, I suppose that inside was a psychopath trying to get out. All those poor women killed or injured.

    Not only was Carol DeRonch able to escape, but she escaped without a scratch. Karen Sparks and two of the Chi Omega women survived Bundy, but unfortunately with lifelong health problems.
