    Nice run-down of the up coming (European) new toolings… eduard is my favorite of this group: I like that they produce 3 types of kits for each new release; ProfiPACK, Limited Edition & Weekend editions… these models are great value considering their excellent quality! Clear Prop (of Ukraine) is also of favorite of mine. 🇺🇦🇨🇿

      This is a very good strategy and i like the fact they have cheaper and more costly versions for different types of customers.
      Clear Prop! is the surprise factor for 2024 and will cover their announcements in my upcoming video👍🏻

    For me is Eduard but the new Airfix stuff is very well engineered

    Being one who avoid modern stuff like the plague, F-22, F-35, UAV and whatnot, I'm interested in everything near enough from day dot up to Vietnam and the cold war....
    That being said, I've pre-ordered the Airfix 1/48 Bristol Bulldog (2), I definitely will get the ICM 1/48 B-26B and their Henschel Hs 123 might find home here as well, I enjoy their kits....
    I'm not too sure about the Italeri 1/32 Macchi 200, beautiful as she may, still going back and forth about their Macchi 202 in the same scale, feel a bit disappointed reading some reviews!
    I also wish that they'd do more interwar aircraft, a very much overlooked era....they'd perfect in 1/32 I think! (Secretly hoping for a Fiat CR.32! 🤞🏻)

      Good choice! Now that i have a more or less complete overview of the new kits, the Bulldog has started to stand out more to me. Im sure its going to be great.
      I built a Henschel from GasPatch and it was one of the best experiences, a lovely aircraft. With great painting schemes

    For me:
    #1 - ICM;
    #2-3 - Italeri and Airfix;
    #4-5 Revell (very high prices not corresponding to the quality) and Eduard (I don't like their attitude towards customers.)

    • @chrisveya7556

    Your are very funny and I learn a lot from you. Revell and Eduard for me.
    Which acrylic primer do you like more, Vallejo or AK?

    • @chrisveya7556
      @chrisveya7556  6 місяців тому +1

      Thats a difficult question, i think they are both very reliable. If i had to make a choice i would probably pick the Vallejo one, because its a bit more versatile. AK dries extremly flat which is not always usefull, for a bare metal finish for instance.
      Thanks for the feedback!

    Out of these manufacturers, my favorite would be Eduard. I have only built one ICM kit (C-45), but it went together beautifully - so, ICM as second favorite. Sorry but no third or fourth fave. Least favorite by a huge margin is Italeri as at least the packaging and plastic can be recycled, and forgotten. I know, I’m grumpy.

    • @chrisveya7556
      @chrisveya7556  6 місяців тому +1

      Yes Eduard just spoils us with wonderful kits! Not that i would complain about it. I love the huge variety in ICMs range, had some older kits which where a bit challenging. But nothing too bad. I need to test some of their new products

  • @richardjordan5036

    As far as my favorite out of the 5,well as long as they put out a good kit it is hard to choose. I have others that I like better but if revell keeps up with some of there offerings,Revell will start to get my attention

      @chrisveya7556  6 місяців тому

      Yes, my comparison is limited to these five, there are many more which would be interesting to check.
      Im looking forward to the F35 & F-15 from Revell👌🏼

      @@chrisveya7556 Chris the f-15 from revell looks to be a good kit in 48 scale as well as the 72 scale.i think when it can get the 48 scale one when I have the money to spare.i have the older 48 scale with the raised panel lines in storage.its a pain living in a rv for right now but still doing a few kits once in awhile.....scale model aircraft did the 72 scale one,check it out when you have a chance...

    I can not tell you wich company I prefer. Every company has pros and cons and I look forward to a lot of the kits. For example an affordable F-35C from Italeri and the new kits in 1/72 from Airfix. 1/56 ist a scale used by table top gamers

      Yes youre right. Because i have the smartest subscribers on UA-cam meanwhile i got to learn 1/56 is for table top wargaming. In this case i wonder why there are not more kits in this scale

    • @andyshaw5378
      @andyshaw5378 6 місяців тому

      There is an American kit manufacturer called Rubicon which specialises in war gaming vehicles etc. check them out when you have some free time

    • @martinskorepa798
      @martinskorepa798 6 місяців тому

      No, 1/56 is 32mm. 28mm is 1/64 or 1/60 if you count the old ones (sometimes called golden age/classic 28mm). Well, it is still commonly used, but e.g. the difference between 1/35 (about 56 mm) and 1/32 (54 mm) is sometimes very clearly visible. But for small sizes (28mm, etc.) it is only a matter of tenths to units of millimeters and it is actually impossible to tell. Finally, even two people are usually different in height, so a kind of middle is used - the basic size for men is 180cm and is recalculated from that.

    I am not holding my breath on Italeri, their Macchi 202 in 1/32nd scale was a huge disappointment. One would think that an Italian company would be proud of their aviation heritage and give it all they got, but sadly that's not the case. It's an overpriced, inaccurate kit with a lot's of missed detail. It was still fun to build, but I felt bamboozled out of my money, so I am not going to fall in to their trap again. I am curious how the Macchi 200 will be, but I am willing to bet a huge amount of money that it is going to be a letdown as well.
    Airfix is on the money, they are really crushing it. They actually focus on British stuff the most as they should and now they are out with an interwar period biplane in 1/48. That is wicked. One negative I could bring up is that they are really missing the mark with their club service. I would love to join, but they offerings are really laughable.
    I've only built one Eduard so far and the decals really pissed me off, I want to get something from them, but I am afraid of their decals. That carrier film peeling is just not for me.
    ICM, I have a few kits in stash, will do them at some point. Very curious how they build.
    Revell? Yeah, let's not talk about them 😂

    • @chrisveya7556
      @chrisveya7556  6 місяців тому

      I think if theres a new moulding these days, it should be a beautiful thing to build and everything should be right, something to be proud of. Anything else is a failure in my eyes.
      Eduard kits can be wonderful and if you want to avoid the new decals, try something slightly older like 2015, they still have the "normal" ones.
      Yeah the Bulldog is a great unexpected (at least for myself) surprise
      Thanks for the feedback!
