Dr. Daniel Handel
Dr. Daniel Handel is the Chief, Palliative Medicine Division at Denver Health and Hospital Authority and Visiting Professor, University of Colorado at Denver, School of Medicine. Dr. Handel obtained his medical doctorate from Case Western Reserve University and completed his residency in Family Practice at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center. At the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Handel served as: founding Program Director of NIH Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship; Pain and Palliative Care Service; and Staff Clinician providing clinical consultative services, conducting clinical research in pain & palliative care. Dr. Handel is a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and has lectured and authored numerous articles on pain management. During his time at the NIH, Dr. Handel had extensive experience in caring for patients with fibrous dysplasia.
