International Halal Store

Friends who fled Afghanistan to escape the Taliban started the International Halal Store in Stone Mountain, Georgia. One of the co-owners gives GSUTV a tour of the store and showcases what makes it uniquely Afghan. This story emphasizes the positive impact refugees can have on their new communities and those back in Afghanistan. It also underscores the potential for entrepreneurship and community building as key elements in the integration and success of refugees in their new homes.
