I love you guys! Sorry about the audio. It was a beautiful day outside so I didn't want to be in my building.

I agree 100% about greeting your students at the door! Part of the professional practice that I had to do this year was about demonstrating knowledge of my students, and it was so interesting getting to know them better. I've also found that if they're in a bad mood, it's never been because of my class. That makes it easier to handle rude behavior and not take it personally. Love the teacher videos!

So glad you take the time to greet your students by name and ask how they are. Some of the kids today have horrible home lives and youll never know how your caring may give them hope to live another day. God bless you.

I can absolutely say if I had more teachers like you in school I'd have taken it much more serious and done much better. Thank you for sharing 🙏💚🌳🌍

Thanks so much. I am having a blast with my students. 10th grade is an amazing time in their lives and I am there for it.

Great idea to prepare on Sundays. Saves time too. Love the idea of greeting the students at the door. They likely love that. That's a great teacher move for sure. I also agree that technology is a good thing, my son was smarter at 15yrs old than I was at that age, only because he has so much information at the tip of his fingers. Great video!

Hey Joey. Congratulations on wonderfully completing your first year! Awesome! Yes, I agree 💯 on #4. It makes such a difference to greet each student with their name. I do this with my preschool and kindergarten children. They really do love it 💕. It is important to model respect and care. I think you are doing an amazing job. Way to go! 📝⌨️

It really helps them to know they can come to me too if they need to talk. Thanks so much for commenting. I love that we are both in education.

@@sophomoreswag I agree 💯 👍. Me too @ teachers. Air high five 🙌! What kind of reactions do you get from the students about being Vegan? My students are pretty young so they say things like, "Miss Kim has a cow allergy." Lol. 🐮💕

I worked with a teacher who did her plans for the following week on Thursday nights so that she had her whole weekend to herself. I always thought that was a great idea but I could never manage to implement it for myself.

You are clearly a wonderful and dedicated teacher -- bravo! I have taught for many years, from elementary school to graduate school, and the work that goes into it is misunderstood by those who don't have that experience. Good for you for preparing so well and for your dedication. Your meet and greet for the students and your compassion for their lives will make such a profound difference that will last a lifetime. ❤

Wow! You're very organized! I believe that you will be extremely successful and the students will thank you for being so engaged with them and I love that you're all about technology being their strength and not being against it. They will pickup on that and therefore more likely resonate with what you're teaching and hopefully go off to be very successful adults. :) Keep up with the good work!

My school requires us to have our weekly lessons ready by Monday at 8 am. So i used to prep on Sundays, but when I did that, I felt like I was working 6 days a week so now I prep on Friday after school so that I’m free on the weekend. I make my copies before I leave, my PowerPoint, and so on… why Friday? I’m already at school on Fridays, I have just finished the week, everything I need for my classes is in front of me. oh and I teach high school French. 😂.

Right now I am staying late every day for two hours because my son is on the swim team and they practice right after school. I have to take him home so no reason to go home and come back again I am getting a lot done in that two hours for sure.
