Just picked up the Microtech Combat Troodon T/E Gen III in tan. The aluminum handle is too slick. Awesome knife, that's the only problem I've found with this knife.
I’m a huge fan of the Scarab 2 and especially the gen 3. I love how I still have the nostalgia of Microtech from a decade ago seeing them. Nothing wrong with the new CT but feel like I’m still picking up the same knife just improved when I grab a scarab.
@@edged_mindset My apologies up front as my question has zero to do with your awesome video (kinda proves your vids are that good-no questions 👍🏾). Are Sergey Rogovets knives considered hard use?
The new Scarab 2 gen 3 is do good. I have the S/E version and its my primary edc. I love that knife. I want a Combat Troodon but i'm not big on the handle design so i'm good with waiting till they come out with a special version.
I love that seax-esc blade profile. I will purchase that in the near future. Also, unrelated i just purchased a Katsu FB-02. It should arrive soon. I'll let you know how dope it is!😂
Combat troodon gen 3 is best for right now imo. Microtech is implementing a lot of really desirable new features though and there will eventually be otf knives with gen 3 features plus the mechanism to keep the blade locked up solid and these will be readily available. Runs in magnacut unfortunately not so much, welcome to the premier steel for the next ten years or so.
Robs Nerdy Knives has my gen 3 Combat Troodon sent by Mr Eddy, half way through transit I made a deal with Mr Eddy and the knife became mine...kinda wierd huh ? But I can't wait to get it.
I have the original scarab QD in excellent condition super snappy and literally no rattle open or closed . This was the best scarab in my opinion gen 1 Elmax ! I also have it for sale at the moment.
I would be curious to see how the Microtech CT & Scarab stack up against the Glykon bud! I have the Glykon with the double/partial serrated blade & it’s straight up dwarfs my signature ultra tech double edge!! Talk about a wicked edge as well!!!
How is the firing power compared to gen 2? I have a scarab 2 and a combat troodon... i bought a Cypher 2 wanting to try the dual fuel and i think it's slow and sluggish not to mention all the problems from factory which is new!?
I just ordered a bunch of Microtech clones. Can't wait for them to arrive and do some testing. The benchmade infidel clone I got from this company was actually better than my legit infidel! Hahaha. So I have high hopes for these microtech clones now! Hahaha.
Iv Purchased Quite a Bunch of Microtech Clones, Amphibian, LUDT, Combat Troodon M390, Nemisis, Glykon, Titanium Stitch M390 and they have been incredible. Good Luck
I like the mat...attention to detail

Such a great vid! No one does OTFs better than you. Super content
I appreciate that!
Keep yapping my friend, we’re here to listen!
😁
I own a glykon, ultratech, exocet, and a scarab. The scarab is by far my favorite! Once you feel the deployment, you'll never go back.
It's so good
I really like the new Hera 2.
I really want one for my collection. I got the Scarab 2, a Hellhound, and a Warhound. 👊
My first OTF is going to be the Cypher 2. Love that blade shape.
That’s what I just got. It’s slicey.
I have the new scarab and the new Hera. Hoping to get the new troodon soon. Love your content!
Thank you!

Man I really want a new scarab but I can’t justify it since I just picked up a new CT and a ZBT Ultratech

Very cool! What blade shape on that QD?
@@edged_mindset standard smooth edge
Where can I contact you may be interested in buying it, thanks in advance!
I am trying to have patience for the release of the Ultratech Gen 3 with the zero blade play 😬😬😬
Aren't we all....
Yes

I keep telling myself I’m over otf’s. But I keep buying them also.

Debating between a heretic manticore x and Microtech Hera 2 thoughts anyone?
I’d avoid the Hera 2. Mine and others suffer from intermittent blade bounce back. My vote would go with the Heretic
