I watched every episode but honestly when I recommend it I tell them that they can honestly skip everything in the east blue and go straight to reverse mountain. and for me personally the show wasn't super interesting until the water 7 arc. I had fun with the arlong and the alabasta arcs but during and after the water 7 arc was I truly hooked.

Just because an anime has hundreds of episodes that doesn’t give you an excuse to put off getting into it. More episodes just means you can either marathon it every now and again or you can take your time watching without having to wait like those of us caught up.

Which is a genuine problem for when the actual story slows down for real, it makes hard to remember when times passing and when it isn’t and what details the watcher is actually supposed to be paying attention to. It’s a shame because one piece genuinely is a story that shouldn’t be speedran anyways and is actually worth its length (in the manga). But the anime complicates that and completely ruined one piece’s actual reputation permanently, ESPECIALLY in the west I just read the manga and switch over to the anime with a filler guide or the fan cuts of one piece like kai or one pace, I’m ill and can’t just use my hands to hold a phone or book for too long. I can deal with consuming one piece this way because I’ve watched anime for years and not only know when torrent, but can tell when something isn’t canon or trying kill time. And since I literally have the “actual” series in manga form anyways, I actually can sit down and watch some of the filler and have a good time and not get confused or at worst, too angry over it. Sometimes I even actively seek out the filler for these reasons. But I don’t expect a regular person who’s not as into anime or even someone getting into one piece to just immediately know all this shit Tbh getting into a series, shouldn’t be so busted that you need a guide or advice or anything at all. Finding all this shit out can be like finding the ACTUAL one piece to some people 💀 I never entirely agreed with the bemoaning that comes with not wanting to start one piece, but I honestly COMPLETELY understand and empathize with peoples apprehension now more than ever It only seriously bugs me because I genuinely love this series and wish it got the chance to be handled well, but it’s too late for that now, the movies and wano are all we got 😭😭😭😭 People DO have the time to watch one piece, they just don’t know it because the anime sucks and a lot of them reasonably think it’s all that exists! 😤 The way I’ve been consuming the series, i wasn’t even bingeing it, just picking it up whenever I had the time, so I could go weeks or months without touching it, the mangas pacing is so fast that I just blinked to look up where I was at in the series and I’m apparently almost done with it and am about to cry. Had I discovered it in the late 90s, as I did with Dragon Ball, Pokemon, Digimon, Medabots, Tenchi Muyo, etc, I would've been able to commit to One Piece with the same obsessive fanaticism, which the series definitely deserved. Brilliant story, brilliant setting, brilliant main cast, brilliant supporting cast and some of the best intro music I've ever heard. Simply brilliant.

I love thr artwork, the characters, funimation dub, luffy is the kind of guy who kicks the guys ass when he deserves it emotionally it really pulls you in. Oda was inspired by dragon ball and made an amazing thing, downside is funimation dub is ten years behind while there on episode 780 or 800 funi is only on 460 or so

One day about 6 months ago, I went onto Netflix and saw an anime called one piece. I had heard about before but never really gave it any thought, even though I loved anything that had to do with pirates when I was really young. So, I decided to give it a try. The first thing to come up, was this opening. Even though I had never seen something like that before, I could feel the nostalgia. All of a sudden, I started to cry from memories of my childhood. And I knew right then, that this show, this manga, would be something that I would enjoy until the day I die. Since this was in quarantine, I binged the entire series in 3 months. Then, I couldn’t wait to know what happens next, so I started to read the manga from where the anime left off in wano. This is truly the king of shounen and all anime

Dude, I literally have all the one piece openings somehow memorized(not perfectly especially the non-english dub). Like there's this time after finally using spotify and I searched all the one piece openings and put it in a playlist. I cried the whole time until i finished every opening, the memories literally flashed back to me every song. It was so fucking sad like how does that even happenpbpBFOBCwls
The opening theme never really leaves the show. when ever they hit a sappy or "in the moment" moment it is played softly as a melody in the back. Despite it all this is a show that feels like a good FRIEND just like all those good 80's shows once did!

I can see it. In the anime, once Luffy and the strawhats finish their business and get all the road poneglyphs, this song plays, in full, at the end of the last episode of before the season. They are on the sunny escaping from the Marines and headed for Raftel. And when the song ends, so does the episode. And instead of it saying "To Be Continued" it says "To Raftel". Idk why I get emotional thinking about it but...
I just got into this anime myself and OMFG I'm addicted I've heard from loads it was good but I found it so hard to get into another long running anime after Dragon Ball Z but my friend said don't watch any other anime stick with One Piece so I did and OMFG I can't pull away I just finished the alabasta arc but mind blown no wonder they call this the best damn anime ever

Like others said I was literally forced into watching one piece. First 20 episodes were good but nothing special..... Exactly opposite with naruto. Then came the arlong arc and walk to the arlong park sealed it for me. Alabasta arc is definition of epicness. And that ending. THAT FUCKING ENDING! AMAZING

I gotta say, Broly has an amazing voice.
One day about 6 months ago, I went onto Netflix and saw an anime called one piece. I had heard about before but never really gave it any thought, even though I loved anything that had to do with pirates when I was really young. So, I decided to give it a try. The first thing to come up, was this opening. Even though I had never seen something like that before, I could feel the nostalgia. All of a sudden, I started to cry from memories of my childhood. And I knew right then, that this show, this manga, would be something that I would enjoy until the day I die. Since this was in quarantine, I binged the entire series in 3 months. Then, I couldn’t wait to know what happens next, so I started to read the manga from where the anime left off in wano. This is truly the king of shounen and all anime

I got into it pretty fast. The Arlong arc brought out the anger in me. The Drum Island Arc made me cry :/

Like there's this time after finally using spotify and I searched all the one piece openings and put it in a playlist. The opening theme never really leaves the show. when ever they hit a sappy or "in the moment" moment it is played softly as a melody in the back. Despite it all this is a show that feels like a good FRIEND just like all those good 80's shows once did!

I can see it. In the anime, once Luffy and the strawhats finish their business and get all the road poneglyphs, this song plays, in full, at the end of the last episode of before the season. They are on the sunny escaping from the Marines and headed for Raftel. And when the song ends, so does the episode. And instead of it saying "To Be Continued" it says "To Raftel". Idk why I get emotional thinking about it but...
I just got into this anime myself and OMFG I'm addicted I've heard from loads it was good but I found it so hard to get into another long running anime after Dragon Ball Z but my friend said don't watch any other anime stick with One Piece so I did and OMFG I can't pull away I just finished the alabasta arc but mind blown no wonder they call this the best damn anime ever

Like others said I was literally forced into watching one piece. First 20 episodes were good but nothing special..... Exactly opposite with naruto.
Then came the arlong arc and walk to the arlong park sealed it for me.
