Chris, this turned out so good. I personally love how your frosting has just a touch of colors. That way it doesn't take away from the pastel bar and horn.

Thank you 😊 even though it wasn’t what I had pictured, the soap grew on me!

This turned out so cute! Honestly, the creamy off-white of it all takes me back to the sorts of pastel rainbow colour schemes I grew up with in the 80s, so the whole thing has a very nostalgic vibe for me 🥹

Thank you! I think the off-white grew on me a bit. Definitely nostalgic!

That peach/yellow/green-ish color scheme of the uncured soap is giving 70s and I love it

There are calculators still alive from the 70s that are that exact off white colour 😂

I really, really like the bottom half of this one. The white has it's charm too, despite being rather yellow. All in all, this is one of my favourites I've seen from you.

Awe that’s so sweet, thanks! 😊 I’m not sure which half I like more, but I am a big sucker for frosting!

Glycerin rivers, yes, and I have had the same experience with TD as you on many occasions. I also have the same soap cutter as you do. 😊love your videos. Great concepts and nice frosting! I’m watching this wearing a tee that says, “I like soap making, cats, and about three people.”

I didn’t think a shirt existed that was so ME! I need it this instant!
And thank you! It’s so strange how glycerin rivers work. Even if a batch is perfectly consistent, they’ll pop up wherever they want 😳

Educational as well as funny. I got lots of helpful tips and I’ve never made a silicone mold so this was a delightful surprise. BTW I laughed so loud when you were accidentally giving a tour of your apartment that my teenager came to my doorway to give me a dirty look.

Thank you! That silicone stuff is a huge cost saver too, because I was able to get two good molds out of it for the price of one regular one.

After an hour of sitting out, you could set the mold in the freezer for a little bit to harden the horn. May be easier to remove.

Protip: add tiny amounts of violet to cancel the yellowing of your white batter. Good luck ❤

unicorn as a term actually predates the vegetable being called corn :D The latin Cornus meant horn(Uni-one: One Horn), and corn's original, and non-north-america name is Maize :)

I KNEW there was a smart and perfectly reasonable explanation 😂

You could‘ve laid the horns horizontally (just barely submerged, right underneath the surface) in the silicone instead of vertically 🥲💙 (maybe next time?)

Chris 😔 how many unicorns were harmed in the making of this video?

    • @SoapUniverse
      @SoapUniverse  2 місяці тому +2

Unicorn tallow is quite expensive, so I opted for vegetable fat instead! That makes my recipe vegan and cruelty free.
Luckily, my horn embeds aren’t part of the recipe - those cost four unicorns.
