A wonderful jazzy arrangement! I love Elisenda's pure smooth voice and scatting. I love the instrumentation and rhythms also. Such an enjoyable song!

An absolutely lovely arrangement & performance! And the singer, Elisenda Julià, isn't just singing the lyrics. She's Telling us what she is wishing for.
I think we can now call this Popular song Timeless, as it will be turning 100 in 2024 (when I will be turning 75). I read that Youmans had written the basic melody idea of "Tea for Two" while he was in the navy during World War I! The final version for No, No Nanette, with brilliant lyrics by Irving Caesar, has survived every change in Popular Music styles. I have been on UA-cam for a couple of hours listening to every cover of this song I could find, looking for the one that I think best expresses the originally intended "essence" of the song. This is my favorite so far.
Any Fan of the Great American Songbook Loves to hear new interpretations of the Songbook. That's what keeps them fresh and alive! That said, somewhere along the line, someone recorded a slowed down tempo of this song (was it Blossom Dearie?) and that seems to have become the New Standard version for Vocalists to perform. Many of those found here are nice, but I've recently been longing for New interpretations that still included, not just the Verse, as had been dropped for decades it seems, but the BOUNCE of the Original. Solo Piano/Trio versions have always indulged that Bounce no matter what Piano Style or Styles were incorporated. Jazz Pianist, Emmet Cohen, has terrific recordings of TFT posted here, and I'm happy to say it appears to be a regular part of his current repertoire. Many of his new posts end, after the Credits, with chorus of... You guessed it.
The only thing I missed from this arrangement is the Piano. But that also makes it unique. I'm sure, if he were still here, Mr. Youmans would approve.
    Thank you Django Orchestra!

Thank you so much!! Being able to read a comment written with so much love and with so much interesting information is increasingly complicated. And that you liked it makes me very happy!
The Django Orchestra is the project in which I have invested the most energy, care and resources, and I think it's paying off!
As for this song, it is an arrangement by Sergi Vergés. As you say, Elisenda is a great singer! And, as you also mention, the idea of removing the piano is part of the research process of the project. The idea is to try to incorporate the sound of the manouche guitars and the string quartet in a classic jazz big band. Is not easy! But we are finding a way...
Thanks again! And sorry if my English is not very correct...

Mettre "Django" en orchestration n'est pas chose aisée. Ici la réussite est totale.
