Suffolk Transit Changes Sept 3rd, 62 & 77Y Improved

*The 58 will continue to serve Brentwood, my error...
The 62 will be extended along Rt.347 west of Smith Haven Mall To the State Bldg, the 77Y is extended during weekday peaks to serve the Walmart in Yaphank.
Not sure why they did this with the 62.
Unless there's a new interline at Hauppauge?

The 62 being extended to Hauppauge is not for interlining reasons, as there is no route to interline to, 11 and 17 do to each other and the 5 and 6 are EBT. This is being done due to an increase of ridership on NY 347 with the 58 and those riding the 62 wanting more connections to other routes. Especially on weekends, the transfer times at Smith Haven from the 62 are atrocious as the timed connection doesn't really work out on the weekends. What I think should be really done though, is send the 5 up 347 at all times, run the 58 back to East Northport/Commack, and the 11 extended to Smithtown, would still provide more connection opportunities, and as well maybe increase 58 frequencies to every 30 mins at select peak times as well. Anyways, I will be taking advantage of the 62 extensions, so I can easily transfer to the 6 with only one transfer at Hauppauge instead of two when I do my trips to/from Baiting Hollow
