Just a helpful tip for newbies getting used to where the gears are, remember this : the odd gear numbers (1, 3, and 5) will always be at the top of the gear stick, in other words your pushing the shifter forward to go into these gears, lowest at the left and highest at the right The even number gears (2, 4, and 6 if applicable) will always be at the bottom of the shifter, and unlike the before mentioned numbers you’ll be pulling the shifter downwards to go into any of these gears, and like before lower numbers on the left and higher numbers on the right Keep that in mind because it help making shift gears for me become muscle memory Always remember changing gears whether it’s up or down is always in a zig-zag formation, you zig-zag right to go up from 1st to 6th, and you zig-zag left to go down from 6th to 1st Bear this in mind and hopefully it’ll help you make sure changing gears becomes second nature

Learning to drive a manual transmission can be a bit challenging at first, but it's a great skill to have. If you're feeling fearful, it's completely normal. Don't give up just yet! Take it one step at a time, practice in a safe and empty area with a driving instructor , and with time and patience, you can become proficient in driving manual. Many people find it rewarding once they get the hang of it. Ultimately, the decision is yours, but don't be discouraged by initial fear; it often subsides with practice.
