Hi Tapp Brothers! My favorite BW exercise is the push up. (I'm Italian, we always go for the classic). Jokes apart it's my favorite because it's one of the most versatile BW exercises: you can change the grip, the stand, the height, you can train in power, in isometric, unilaterally, in movement. So many variations, some of them I picked up from your great videos. Thanks for your awesome work and keep them coming!
Agreed sir, the back lever is a sick bw skill, one of the first advanced bodyweight feats my bro and I were able to accomplish. Thanks for the reply ;)
@NeoUzumaki91 - Can't go wrong with the classics. Your right about the versatility, so many options and variations. Great for beginners to advanced! Here in the next couple of days we'll be sharing some of our favorite Animalistic Push Up variations! Thanks for the kind words and your reply!
The plank: it feels like it strengthens the whole body, for the upper back to the core, even the legs and arms in some way. It's really complete and has lots of variables to focus on one key set of muscles if you want. Also great to improve resistance. It's useful whether you're a newbie or at an advanced level. Bonus: people love it when you're strong enough to let them sit on you :)
Thomas Busson a reverse plank is better. The plank puts a lot of weight on your lower back and you are mostly using your chest to hold yourself up opposed to your core. The reverse plank is all core and no stress on your lower back.
First time in my 10 years of practice I've held that damn handstand longer than 6 seconds! It Felt so strong and stable, i know I've got it now! Thank you so much!
I must say I straightened and extended my shoulders after watching this video, and INSTANTLY felt the difference. These tips are legit especially #2! Thank you so much for helping to make my practice so much more fruitful!
I tried the handstand with these 3 tips. and I was able to do 30 seconds. And as a plus. I tried this a second time and was able to do 2 hspu. This is incredible. Thank you!
SimmySammy 07 UA-cam recommended this to me as soon as I started practicing my handstands lol... I've never even searched anything related to handstands
Yo Tapp Brothers!! Thanks for the shout out!! I was totally just reviewing this video cause i came up on my search and when you mentioned me it TRIPPED ME OUT! XD Crazy world... Great video guys!
Thanks man!! That's awesome haha! The tips you taught us at woodward have still stuck with us today bro!! We still keep up with your instagram. We're traveling around right now, but when we get back to LA we should link up again!
i have been practicing handstand for like 2~3 months and was always stuck at 3 to 5 seconds and then it flopped, after watching this video i immediately was able to hold my handstand, this is actualy insane, thank you so much!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Guys I was a trained gymnast. I am still as agile, strong and flexible and now I have never stopped doing handstands and now I would love to advance my techniques and am looking forward to learning and being guided by you guys..
@Dan Don i do jiu jitsu and for it we have to do handstands and cartwheels, i cant do either.. So my friend that can, would hold me when i did it or hook around my back while im in a spider like position and although i still cant, i had to do it out of pressure in a warm up and bam i done 4 steps in a handstand. Thats never happening again but attempting constantly everyday will get u there. For time, its been years of attempts and nothing but someday! Try build upper body strength
Listen man i just watched this video and held the hand stand for 7 secs thank u so much after failing for 2weeks i really needed what ur saying because i was honestly making these mistakes....once again thank u
Gosh... as a gymnast that grew up doing this everyday 24/7... these are so obvious. But really good tips and really good form. These tips are so useful and you guys should most definitely follow them.
As a casual handstand practitioner who’s got all 3 weak spots, I saw instant effects with these 3 tips! They are so simple that I can do anywhere so hopefully they will get me into consistent practice.
Thank you , Thank you , Thank you , Thank you , Thank you , Thank you . I have been trying to do a handstand for a year. Today on 20 Jan 2018, Finally after watch this video, I was able to do it, I never focused on straightening the shoulders, game changer man 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Just wanted to say never stop making videos cuz u guys really help people like me a lot.. I learned the wall climb thanks to u guys and i want to learn a lot more.. I just go some new passion for being strong and doing cool stuff..and i hope ur videos will hep me
Yo, these tips are awesome! I am still practicing against a wall and I woke up, saw this video and made a proper handstand while being a foot out of the wall! These tips are vrry helpful for body protection, too. Because I was so excited and wanted to try your tips, I went in head first, without stretching! No pain at all... Also, the handstand felt more... Straight!
Might have to improve even more strenghtwise, because I find it hard to keep balance when my hips are more backwards than my legs. When in "perfectly stacked" form.
I was a lousy gymnast in high school, but had the best handstand that my peers marveled over. The best exercise I taught myself was doing handstands with my stomach against the wall. It forces you to keep a straight body, and you can easily find your balance with a small tap of your feet just an inch or 2 from the wall. Extend the shoulders, and keep your head down.
A problem I have right now is that I do precisions always with the balls of my feet on the edge of the platform I'm jumping off of (i hope you know what I mean) I'm too scared to jump big gaps with the entire foot on top of the object because I'm scared of slipping, and this makes it very hard for me to train plyo jumps.
+Le Pooptastic Sounds like a great exercise. If you greatly increase your body-weight you will get more from your exercise. Try the PaleAleEo diet it should bring great benefits.
Thanks so much. Im 300lbs but I swear I'll unlock this move one day. I'm at my 77th day of my weight-loss journey, uploaded every single workout session so far so good. Subscribed, love this channel idk why I havent seen it until now!
This was super helpful! I've been aware of the number 3 issue in my handstand practice and working to correct it for ages but have still been struggling. I didn't understand why it was taking so long to improve and why it was so hard to get the right alignment upside, when I do loads of hollowbody drills and can get the right core/butt engagements and alignment in headstand and in other positions. Realized from this video it's because I'm also not pushing out fully from the shoulders and straightening my arms completely! Tested out that adjustment and it immediately made a difference! Game changer. Thank you!
This is awesome!!! I’ve watched a lot of videos about hand stand but I failed... after watching this, I was able to do a 3 second handstand... I will need to practice more!!! Thank you sooooooo much!!!!
I’ve been doing handstands since I was a young gymnast. Now in my 50’s, what must have come natural no longer works. I’m thrilled to have an in-depth analysis of how to maintain a proper handstand.
So I can already do an handstand but I wanted it to be perfect so I tried theses techniques and I popped 3 blood vessels in my hand tell me what I did wrong then.
Jennifer Hale um you can't pop blood vessels by tightening your butt and core. Also impossible by being vertical. Unless if it was your hand balance, then it was definitely your fault. You must've screwed up something.
First common mistake for me..tried to adjust the weight on the "center" of my hands and I managed to hold an hanstand for the time I wanted, for the very first time on first try!!!wow, many teachers are not pointing out that very well 2:24 really unlocked my hanstand
Hey Tapp bros I am trying to start with freerunning And improve my atlethic skills And you 2 are realy helping me So thnx for al the awsome vids you make!!!!

Back lever. I think it looks just incredibly sick, and really showcases great strength and control on a bar or rings
Hi Tapp Brothers! My favorite BW exercise is the push up. (I'm Italian, we always go for the classic). My favorite bodyweight exercise is the Floppy Sock because you don't need a tight butt or core in order to execute one perfectly.

Why I can't do handstands?
Reason 1: Fear of injuries or worst case scenario broken wrist.
