Aaaahhh!!! I can't believe I did it! I did a handstand half way! It's my dream to learn Acro and I'd almost given up, but now I'm sure I can get it with your program. Thanks so so much!!!
New subscriber here. Btw... I’m almost 60 years old and me trying new things like this is precisely why my bff checks in on me everyday to make sure I’m ‘alright’. 😂
There is no age limit to acquiring more physical skills and enjoying the kind of exercise or sport you like! I would just strongly recommend you (unsolicited advice coming...) to focus on proper warm-ups and lots of strengthening and flexibility building! Abraham Lincoln had said "if I had 6 hours to cut a tree, I would spend the first 4 sharpening my axe" and this is so true in learning new physical skills. Prepare your body well and it will reward you.
This is such an inspiration, I hear all the time people that are at their thirties or fourties saying that they can’t learn new things like these because they are old 🥴😆. Keep it up.
Sorry to be off topic but does someone know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I appreciate any help you can give me
Amazing tip! At age 51 and after nine months of almost daily yoga classes, I finally mastered a headstand. (major fear of falling overcome). But never could keep myself in a handstand- elbows always buckling. Even against a wall my yoga teacher would have to be near and assist me. I just felt too weak to hold myself up. Now at 62 and with osteoporosis that’s deemed “serious” I fear even trying this as my spine would be so vulnerable. I guess what I’m trying to say is I wish I’d known this tip 10 years ago.
I am very glad we did not throw out our inflatable bed I am looking forward to trying this because the stability with the arms again the couch & being able to lift off with the back foot ...really good recommendation thank you so much Have been struggling to get off the wall for over a year and thank you for the tip about tucking the chin And the somersaults are good practice for that
@Rohan Shrestha You should aim to be consistent. Do a handstand for at least 4x a week for an hour or so. Do different stuff like chest to wall handstand, back to wall handstands. You want your body to get use to being in a handstand.
@Rohan Shrestha I don't see why training at night would do anything. The only thing that would influence your gains is the time you spend. For example if you spend 5 minutes this won't be enough.
Nice tips, hi from the UK, using isolation to practice body weight training and always wanted to learn the handstand , managed to get legs up with the slow lift from the floor rather then the kick , just working on my balance and the hand tip will help lot. Cheers guys. Martin
Greetings from Ramkumar. Very nice practical experienced presentation. Very good demonstration with examples . Very easy to follow . I will definitely do this workout . Keep posting these kind of videos . I am from India , don't have time to practice yoga , but this workout is good and once through , can be practiced any where . Thanks Tappbrothers . My best wishes to you. Thanks Ramkumar
Thank you so much! With these safety precautions and incremental steps you have given me a goal to reasonably shoot for. I already use several of your more basic routines. Again, thanks.
The last 2 techniques helped so much thanks a lot, I can hold the handstand for more then 10 seconds but I need someone to get me into the right handstand position because I don’t know how to flick up into the perfect position to start the handstand. Also, you just gained a new subscriber
Thanks for this video. My biggest fear is falling and landing inappropriately so I think I'm going to start by learning how to roll out of a fall like you showed
I did this and I feared it would be hard to transition into a full handstand, but this technique is great for learning the balance part of the handstand. It will not teach you anything about the kick up, so don't be surprised if it takes a little time to transition. I'd recommend removing the pillows as soon as possible, you should learn how to safety bail before trying the full handstand.
*No walls trick*. You can learn handstanding in a doorway somewhere in your house. Just make sure that you can reach the top with your hands up, otherwise you will fall on your back. Open a door, put your hands down and keep trying. Put your hands a little farther from doorway, this will help to push off the top and catch some balance. sry my english, not native
Great video! Helping me to hold longer 😊Couple of questions about my technique 1. How do I get better wrist flexibility as my shoulders /wrists can't go far with forward to balance on my mid-wrist? 2. How can I get rid of my banana shape?!

I’ve just started holding my handstands for about 10 seconds or so. But the tip about focusing on the knuckles was game changing!! Thank you so much!!

Good one.. one must practice just the rolling forward safely like you are showing first to gain confidence
Well, now I have to go buy some pillows... and a sofa.

Good timing I'm trying to learn the handstand and you upload this. The most I held a handstand was for 7 seconds.
Awesome and 7 seconds is a great start 👍 from here you may find the last two tips to help the most. Stay strong!
