"Why don't these guys play in the NFL?" Rugby is played at top international level in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Italy, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and Argentina. American "football" is played at the top level in the USA and ... that's it. Besides that, top rugby players can pass, run, tackle and kick at elite levels, for two 40 minute halves of continuous play. What position would one of those guys play in the NFL to make full use of those skills and attributes?
That's why these guys don't play in the NFL. Look, we all know that you're conditioned to believe that the world only has real significance within the US of A, but think it through man.
Yeah loud mouth yanks haha
Thank you man I commented on that 2
There are Australians like jordan malaita, new Zealanders, Tongans. Samoans, hawaiians in NFL. Did you know how many samoans that have played nfl. Troy polumalu to name. Past players. And even now. Miami dolphins quater back is samoan. And there is a few other teams with samoans in it. Look up samoans in nfl or polynesians in nfl.
totally, I thought that when he said 'why don't these play in the NFL?' lol, NFL is small time in comparison actually
@@Kiwichick138 The NFL would be too easy for Ma’a Nonu. 😏
I'm a Springbok supporter, but I'll admit that the All Blacks are probably the best attacking team in the world. But when the play the Springboks, they have to deal with the best defensive team in the world.
The best defensive team since when

We love our Saffa mates! just not on the field
😃
As a kiwi this is 100% true
The All Blacks have the abilty to keep the ball alive and they are playing explosive rugby.
All the love from South Africa.
Respect back to you RWC champs from a kiwi
Bokkies have always been AB's favorite opponents. Every Kiwi looks forward to match-ups with them.
Thr all Blacks are the only team we respect because are as tough as we are southern hemisphere boys watch out for our own down here those 6 nation teams are okay but we love the challenge against the All Blacks over them , from a Springbok supporter.
Back at ya from nz ❤
You guys have an amazing team also ❤️ 💙
As Bok supporter the stress levels always go up when we play the ABs. They have the best offensive play in Rugby.
As an All Black supporter, I can say no other team than the Boks is more respected by the AB’s and all Kiwi fans. I’ve been watching tests between these teams for over 50 years and they are always games where the winner is never know until the final siren. The 2 greatest rugby nations in history. Respect.
Congrats on your #4RWC over there , can't wait for the championship game's to start, don't know how your team's are going up in the NH since you left the super Rugby, don't bother with that comp,
@@morrisanderson818 I have been enjoying the URC but I am a little sad that we are not facing southern clubs this season. I think it is bad for southern rugby to have our clubs play up north. Maybe World Rugby wants the North to win the next RWC so they are exposing them.
In France we are not afraid by the all blacks but we respect us and we enjoy to play with them because they are always tough matches but with fair play and even if sometimes the referee can help us win a match against them I have never heard a New Zealander complain even if sometimes they could have . A great team for a great people
If your not afraid y do u lose man come on
The All Blacks no 11 you should watch is Jonah Lomu. The first Rugby Super star of the Professional era. RIP big man.
When they perform their 'Haka' before their games, they're not messing around!! They're all serious physical specimens, same as all international rugby players. Many Americans watching them for the first time can't believe they're not wearing any body padding 🤣 Rugby players all around the world are serious physical specimens, but the 'All Blacks' are the elite and deservedly so and I speak as a proud English rugby fan. 🙋♂ Great respect to all you Kiwi's.
It's called a try for historical reasons. In the early days of rugby touching the ball over the goal line allowed you to "try to kick a goal. It was about 1900 that the authorities decided to award a try its own points value.
Yes, rugby was scored in goals.
Hence conversion. You converted you try.
@kenpercival It's called a try because up until about the 70's, it was worth three points. It was then changed to four points for a few years and then to five points as it remains today.
NZ All Black Sir Wayne "Buck" Shelford will always a rugby football legend for the 1986 injury he sustained in a match against France, while still an amateur player (no sponsorship or endorsements) 20mins into the match he was involved in a very aggressive maul where he lost 4 teeth and a french players boot tore open his scrotum leaving his testicle exposed. He calmly left the field, asked the team doc to stitch him up and he went back on the field to play. Now that's hard core 🤘🤘
Bring back Buck!!
As a New Zealander it cracks me up to hear you say "oh their out for the season" no no they get back straight back up and keep playing
USA vs All Blacks 2021 Rugby highlights (1874 cup) is a must watch💪🏼
The most winning team in sports history. In Rugby they have put 50+ on every tier one side.
A country of 5 million people have produced the most winning sports team in sports history...any sport.
actually the first number 11 who you thought was super tough that guys name is julian savea, he also has a brother in the team too ardie savea, the second number 11 who im guessing you thought was the same guy his name is caleb clarke, they are different guys same number
As a South African and Springbok supporter we support our rival against anyone because we in the southern hemisphere only the Springboks can give the All Blacks a game other than that they are as good as the Springboks, they watch our games and we watch their games they 3 times world champions and we the Springboks are 4 times world champions
And only 2 times did you guys cheat, well done, didn't do it for all 4! Food poisoning and wayne barnes blowies, what's next, outright murder?
Saffa here.... NZ with deep respect... the, enemy, the only worthy enemy.
Hey bro good watch. Funny how you were saying punched him, technically it’s called a fend when pushing of a defending player. I’m proud of our boys, legendary team. And yes I’m a kiwi (New Zealander) 👍 Great game rugby. Keep up the vids
There were many different 11’s in this video. In rugby the number on your jersey refers to your position on the field. So whoever was playing as the winger in the particular game was number 11
It's called a "try" because originally, up to when I was a kid, it was worth three points. (Probably should really be written "tri") Then it was changed to four point for a few years before being changed again to five points, where it remains today.
If you wanna know how tough the All Blacks have always been, check out Buck Shelford. What happened to Buck in one game would put out an NFL player for a season.
It was his first test match as well. His nuts got rucked out literally. Put back together and he went back on. What an amazing player! What guts that took!
@@dhesq007he did have to leave the field later on, being knocked unconscious will do that to ya.The French were all high on anphetimine
The guy shaking his tongue is Ardie Savea, you see a bit of him in this video. He's a beast who I don't think is rated as highly as he should be. Absolute handful for the opposition .
great player
Yeah season ending tackles in the the NFL, are are absorbed 50 times a game per player in rugby union. Australia does ok in this sport but the All Blacks play on a whole other planet. Its a cultural game that is played from a very young age in Nz. Ruck, mall, and tackle and that just getting to the bar.
Good Job bro luv Ur Rugby-Reactions keep-it-up!!!!
our rugby style came about many years ago,we wanted to play with speed and skill, end result is the same for all that time, we want to play fast rugby is the bottom line. our speed is what usually confounds other sides, in recent years our strength came more into it, though having said that we were always a pretty staunch breed going back to the colin meads days in the 60's.
AllBlacks will be playing Fiji at SnapDragon Stadium San Diego 17 July
And yes. ABs definitely exciting to watch.
The game is 80 minutes 40 minutes of 2 Half's non-stop running and smashing . I absolutely loved your spider comment that's actually called the scrum and it's to restart play after certain infringements. The objective is to put the ball behind the goal line on the grass with pressures from above on or behind the white line will give you 5 points. Directly behind the point of contact your kicker will attempt to convert you try for two extra points.
That kick at the 9:15 mark that you asked about is called a "Grubber Kick". Basically, you kick it along the ground, because roughly ever 3 bounces, it'll pop up in the air for you to run onto. In this case, it popped at a weird angle, so Sevu Reece (the 14), had to kick it on the fly, which is an insane piece of individual brilliance, then he kept chasing and scored.
You'd make a great Rugby commentator. Your quips are hilarious and appropriate for the game.😆
They are undefeated at Eden Park since 94.
I would suggest that the All Blacks are consistently one of the best teams in the world, but Most Feared may go to the Springboks, they are definitely consistently one of the most physical.
Some of these hits were cards and time off the field under todays rules and may well have been at the time if caught by Ref.
No contact above the shoulder and almost all the responsibility is no the tackler, head contact is usually red and gone from the field
The reason it is called a try is because in the original rules if you touched the ball down in the in goal area it wasn't worth points but you then got to try to score points by converting your efforts into points by kicking the ball between the posts. The rules then changed to the touching down of the ball becoming worth points and the kick after was extra points, but the original names remained.
Nick from nz. What the hell kick was that? It's known as a grubber kick used to gain advantage. NFL throws the ball forward, but in rugby, you can only pass back, so the grubber kick is used as a quarterback throw for the recever.
Your comments are brilliant and funny as f@#k,"fold like garden chair " made a little bit of wee come out.😅😅😅😅😅.
"Who's that Hobbit?" That man was Japanese, so congratulations on offending an entire nation. They might be smaller on average but they play awesome rugby, giving it everything they've got.
The Dallas Cowboys wanted Jonah but he said ' my hearts in rugby '. Fair enough. RIP big man.
Why is a score in american football called a touchdown when they don't have to touch it down!!
I BET THAT NO TEAM FROM THE NFL COULD EVEN HAVE A CHANCE AGAINST ANY OF THESE RUGBY TEAMS, SPECIALLY THE NEW ZEALAND ALL BLACKS
I BET THEY KNOW WHERE THE CAPSLOCK BUTTON IS THOUGH!
That right there is how you do a reaction video 🎉🎉🎉❤
"I'm surprised why these guys are not in the NFL"
Not even 10 secs later: "Get off me, helmet boiii"
“why aren’t these guys in the nfl” because they’re already in the best sport in the world😆😆
If the game the NFL play was really tough it would be called rugby.
Jonah Lomu used to rock jersey number 11. Look up Jonah some time
2:50, if you want to see a freaking beast, look for Sébastien Chabal aka "The Caveman"
I played rugby from the age of 5yrs till my mid 40s when I shattered 3 vertebrae in my neck, I get bummed out every winter because I can't play anymore
The All Blacks are almost certainly the most respected rugby team in rugby history, and, as Americans might say, also the most winning-est team. They have a wonderful history. But the most feared team today are probably the current world champions, the Springboks. The hundred and three year old history of rivalry between these two wonderful teams kicks all other rugby rivalries out of the park. South Africans and Kiwis are the best of enemies while their teams are competing, and the best of friends off the field. Long may this fierce rivalry between old friends last!
Yes. Rassie seems to have a particular instinct for selecting his team players for each separate match. He can look at the big picture and forecast likely patterns within it. His players trust him and the whole team is very cohesive. They are much better than the All Blacks currently, and playing much better.
ABs are the shit. SA is also amazing. Just different styles. Both make the other GREAT 💪🏾💪🏾
Yeah, I'd be upset too if I knew they had a win rate of almost 2:1 over my national team....
@@ToyneHarris Boks were ahead in days gone by. Then in 90s started losing. But watch it change in next couple of yrs. Boks will be superior. Ab s not the team they used to be. AB rugby been going down last couple yrs. look at world cup. Roy b, CapeTown south africa 🇿🇦
@@roybean7166 Definitely right about NZ Rugby Union. League is growing in NZ. I personally have transitioned to league. I hope SA get a league following.
@@ToyneHarris Neither are my national team 🤣 🦘
@rarotime5555 League will definitely not make it in SA. Has been tried, but not successful. Rugby union a religion here. Also, I don't think league will surpass union in NZ, what I know about NZ. Hope it does not , as big matches still Boks vs ABs. Though Northern teams are catching up. Roy b, CapeTown south africa 🇿🇦
Dude I wish you were the official commentator for live matches 😂
Rugby Union is not a sport in NZ, it is a religion. The All Blacks are not a National team they are the high priests of Rugby. Some are even the saints of Rugby.
I'm an Australian and I lived in New Zealand and the All Blacks are like the Beatles but there is 15 of them.
As a South African I can acknowledge we have stints but they have always been the benchmark.
The All Blacks and springboks have dominated rugby forever. No other country has one a World Cup since 2003. The All Blacks definitely have the edge in win percentage as they have won 62 games vs the springboks while the springboks have won 40. However the springboks have recently surpassed them in World Cup wins, winning last years championship. Also if you want to look at some incredible rugby games check out either New Zealand v Ireland QF, France vs South Africa QF or New Zealand vs South Africa Final.
You've got a try and a touchdown confused. They are not the same. With a try, the ball MUST be pressed to the ground over the try line. That's why you see players diving across the line - it's so they cant be tackled in that last second or two, and the ball is automatically pressed (called "forced" in rugby terms) to the ground. It also makes a difference whereabouts the ball is forced - that dictates where the ball is kicked from. That's where it gets into converting the try - another subject.
Who is Jonah Lomu???? I think u should look into it, maybe the best rugby player of all time...If you want to see something you've never seen before watch his funeral, something special
That number 11 is Caleb Clark the son of another All Black Orini Clarke he of the beautiful smile he will be one of the best
The congratulations were more violent than the opposition hits
Rugby is a religion in N Z you start learning how to play it from early schooling .it's something that can come from tribal happenings . Such great football brains their fast strong and very smart . I'm no kiwi and they also like us Aussies use the word mate
This guy is funny af
Why aren't these guys in NFL? Well a game that stops ever minute or two would probably be boring for them!
But a young Welsh guy is giving it a go, Louis Rees-Zammit.
The All Blacks are the most successful team in international sports team for any sport. Over the last 120 years they have won 77% of all games they have played and have a winning advantage over every team they have played.
You should check out the women's rugby as well. The NZ Black Ferns are the dominant team in women's rugby, unsurprisingly.
Different class bro
These guys would destroy the NFL
Mate we grew up playing this game the same way as kids , through to adult hood , No fear play to win.
The most successful sports team in the world. Facts.
They're not rules, they're LAWS.
Rugby: Body protection NOT required.
Twenty countries play American Football to some level
Over a hundred have rugby union leagues and international teams.
Why aren't they in NFL? Because they like to get a game done in a day. New Zealand has a long history of very big, very fast wings (No 11 and the like) : John Kirwan, Va'aiga Tuigamala, Jonah Lomu, et al. The list goes on.
Love it lol. Go put you pads on haha that was good. Try watching rugby for beginners: A guide to the rules of Rugby might help you with learning the game better
Rugby players are different athletes from NFL players. There is way more endurance involved in Rugby. You play with very limited stoppages and transition from attack into defence fluidly. It means that rugby players need to be versatile athletes balancing power, endurance and speed. NFL is more specified in every way. It is about high twitch power and speed as plays are mostly like 20s max and then the players get a rest. They give 100% for that time. But defence rests during offence etc.
Rugby Players have moved over to the NFL with limited success and never top rugby players until Louis Reece Zamit from Wales this year. It will be very interesting for all sports to watch the World Class Rugby Player giving the NFL a crack. He is currently in the Chiefs practice squad through the international players pathway.
Overall in my opinion nfl players are conditioned to be freak athletes in short bursts and rugby players are not. They would not be as effective in the NFL. Similarly NFL players would need to work at developing a broad skill set and endurance performance which is a whole different game. Linebackers, TEs and DEs are probably the position best suited for a code switch to Rugby.
South Africans laughing at this video right now 🤣. I'd bench both those wings for Kolbe and Arendse. Oh yes they in fact got schooled by them in the finals 🤣
Funny how use guys run away from super though, how many African teams really competed what so ever. Not to mention all those tri nation trophies. But what ever you thinks more important than score lines
All blacks run a crap team like Aussis ragged, and the guys think they the greatest. Aussies are crap team, weak. Boks will beat them, watch next couple yrs. Roy b, CapeTown south africa 🇿🇦

Funniest thing watching Americans comment on rugby! 🤣
Early in the comments you said "why are these guys not in the NFL?"
Apart from anything else the NFL doesn't provide much in the way of international competition.
Hey man. Not being rude but as a Kiwi I can comment on this. Some of the comments you said about the things the players did in the haka were very insensitive. The haka is a spiritual act. Not having a go just letting you know. Keep up the great content
If you watch a game or two of rugby the commentators give the rules as they report so its the best way to pick up the rules.
You can't be tackled if you don't have the ball in hand - hence the kick aheadxand chase.
Bro it took Ireland 111 yrs to win there first game against the All Blacks
please react to south african schoolboy rugby
Tryed watching your NFL but to slow and stop start and to many adds rugby 80 minutes of fun
The NFL is populated by 7 foot whimps ! Sorry but I had to get that out there !
You should check out SA school rugby
That was Australian. For Kiwi you need to tighten your mouth and make your ee sounds into ih sounds. Think of Oz as American and Kiwi as English in terms of mouth shape.
It’s not “let’s go mate” it’s “go hard cuz”
A good all black player was Jonah Lomu
i'm sorry but I cannot watch any videos without crying whenever somebody says haka wrong
The All Blacks have beaten the Springboks 72 times to 35…
Now check the stats for the last 5 matches
South Africa does not fear the AB's or any team.
Well said. These new Zealanders think they cannot lose. Next couple yrs NZ in for a real surprise. Boks will smash them. Boks don't fear them. And no one fears the haka, it's become a laugh. Roy b , CapeTown south africa 🇿🇦
fiji rugby you cant miss out on that
That number 4 unit is 6'8"
They're not in NFL because they aren't padded pretty boys with inflated egos and they have dignity. Too talented for NFL. Plus they don't want to spend half the game sitting on the sideline waiting for 10 seconds of action.
BOKS all the way at No.1
And they don't wear padding an helmets either Real Men
The 2 best teams in the world are South Africa and NZ
The number 11 did NOT punch his tackler, it was an open handed fend off. IF he HAD punched the defender, he would have been sent off. Your comments like that do our game an injustice. Play NFL? WHY? do you think your NFL guys could learn to play rugby at this level?
ua-cam.com/video/TeTB9NdA_F8/v-deo.htmlsi=_zVXF_3OCHl5xd3G probably the best explanation of Rugby laws, specifically in American Football terms.
Rugby is by far the superior sport to NFL IMO.. but then I'm biased, I played for 30 years, in itself something unlikely to happen in football.
Why is a touchdown called a touchdown when you don't touch it down.??.. dr Zeus your way out of that ya Fud....😂
Your disrespectful with some of your comments. You wouldn't last 2 seconds in school boy rugby but if you want to talk number 11 there's only one name JONAH LOMU
Bro you need to react to all blacks vs USA
Try? …because by touching down the ball in your opponents in goal you get to “ try” to kick a goal and hence convert your try to full points! Duh!!!
Let's go mate 😂
If you want to increase your views and reactions to your reactions then you need to review the AFL (Australian Football League)
