"Why are best friends always hanging out with us" this is literally my inner self talking whenever my social battery is low but my friends are always there beside me
For the high school thing: We moved about a mile away from our old home in the middle of a school year cuz the landlord spontaneously decided to sell the house and my little sister had to transfer schools because she was just outside of range and no busses would come to get her there. I live in America, and I assume that goes for mostly public schools- Also this movie makes me cry* every time I watch reactions to it- I remember seeing it in theaters with my siblings and mom when there was only one other family there. It hit so close to home since I gots me some diagnosed and medicated severe anxiety, def was in awe over how beautifully they portrayed it all- Pixar is so good at this haha
The more I watch this, the more I feel that her best friends were so inconsiderate. The pair of them had no stakes during the camp, but they didn't think about the stakes for Riley. She had to basically rebuild her social network and also a chance to impress the team at the new school they weren't attending. They should know how much hockey meant for Riley beyond a hobby
@will_o_wisp i think it was a good choice to make envy into a small cute child-like creature. to be able to accept your own envy and know, that it is just the child inside of you wanting anything that's nice.
I watched this with my dad (most my family has verry bad depression/anxiety suicide and stuff, my dad his bipolar too, and has suffered alot. Anywayy I saw this movie in theatre with my dad and sister and my dad dead ass started crying and then the whole drive home was either silent or talking about how its important if we need to we can always talk to him and stuff. (I'm 15, one sister is 11 and the other is 9)
In moderate amounts, anxiety can: Improve performance: It helps keep you alert, focused, and motivated, especially in situations like exams, work deadlines, or competitions.Signal potential problems: Anxiety can act as an early warning system, prompting you to address issues or prepare for future challenges.Enhance decision-making: By making you more cautious, it can help you evaluate risks and make better choices in uncertain situations. However, excessive anxiety can be harmful, so it’s important to manage it effectively when it becomes overwhelming.
My parents forced me to constantly stress about the future and only pick "important" friends. Then my mom regretted it when i was in my late 20s - because all of that Anxiety only caused me health issues and didn't help at all. And the longest lasting friend since we were 12 until our 30s, was the one who never went to my high school....
this movie hits so hard man. definetly agree, not for kids. like i wonder what a kid would take away from this. ofcourse not the hard hitting message adults would but i think it still gives a messageof mindfullness and self acceptance teenagers or pre-teens need. i love how they made joy likable like HOLY, from unsufferable to lovable. very good arc.

How high school works depends on the community. Small towns, it's all the same. The classic way of doing it in the cities is smaller schools ultimately feeding into large high schools. But some cities have magnet schools with different specialty focuses, with auditions or tests to get in. And I think San Francisco has a kind of lottery system, where neighborhood kids might have some extra points, but kids from outside the neighborhood might well get in, and neighborhood kids could conceivably be sent out of it. They're not clear here if Riley got a high school of choice while the other two didn't, or if Riley's staying in the neighborhood while the others got into a different school.
6:25 Hey Welchy here in America we kids have to make a list of what high schools we want to go to. There has to be 12 in total, but some have less than 12. If you want to go to the same school as your friend you can, it's just that you will be on the waiting list for that school and the school has to pick both you and your friend to be accepted. Love the video!
That's so interesting! I live in Texas (recent high school graduate), and what ends up happening is the district will assign you a high school and middle school based on whichever is closest to where you live, but if the closest is at full capacity then you're assigned the next closest and available one. 😅

Oh, Riley is honestly AMAZING at hockey and it’s insane, the fact the coach said “not ready” when she has that much talent is criminal.
I thought this too at first! Until I realized that natural talent isn’t the only thing that shows someone’s readiness for something like being on a team. You also need to have discipline and emotional maturity, gotta have self confidence but also show respect for your team and I think the coach was looking at all those aspects when she wrote down “not ready YET”. The yet is very important but it was very overlooked by Riley and the other new emotions
I'm so glad Welchy acknowledged Embarrassment, he's my fav character. He's so cute.
Fun fact - Americans aren’t the only country that calls it “soccer”. Canada, Japan and Australia (and other countries) also call it soccer as well
Double fun fact - the term Soccer actually originated in England
you can call it whatever its football, by definition
@@jogovernatori Well in the country that I live in the definition of the sport refers to it as "soccer", as well as other countries. Also, the UK originated the term "soccer" in the first place and British people still have the audacity to come after Americans for it :)
9:38 it’s giving “JOJO! HAVE YOU LEARNED NOTHING?!”
This movie makes me anxious. But I think that's just a testament to the power of storytelling, specifically Pixar's storytelling. They're so good at this kind of thing.
This is by far the funniest reaction to this movie I've seen so far. You never fail to make me laugh. 😂
Disney did its good shit with that hell of a good movie
Yupppp, finally!!!
After seeing other creator's ractions, I am surprised to see someone agree with Anxiety and dislike Joy (not many did this at first). So far this is the best and 'funnest' reactor.
Thank you for the kind words! :D
I love the sudden switch from "Oh, she's cute" to "Oh fuck" as Envy shows up
Seeing this movie as a teenager myself, they really did well. i enjoyed the movie and thought they did a pretty good job! Honestly, i could relate to some things!
Ok now we NEED a billy and Welchy collab
I've been looking for this comment!!!🤣☺️
We support your Mullet Welchy🫡
Legoooo
I am so incredibly impressed with Disney on this movie. They successfully made everyone hate anxiety which was the exact point of the character.
like 95% of your reactions and feelings about the movie are exactly what I felt. it is arguably one of the best Disney movies ever
i started crying the moment you started crying im a teenage myself and this movie really hit me hard when i watched it for the first time🙃can someone tell the orange girl to stop playing with my buttons???
Stop orange emotion!!
"Why are best friends always hanging out with us" this is literally my inner self talking whenever my social battery is low but my friends are always there beside me
boredom is "annui" in french, and Americans do use that word. that is why they made her french, it's a french word
I always cry when Sadness says Riley wants Joy.
I too, want joy in my life, but sometimes it just feels impossible.
For the high school thing: We moved about a mile away from our old home in the middle of a school year cuz the landlord spontaneously decided to sell the house and my little sister had to transfer schools because she was just outside of range and no busses would come to get her there. I live in America, and I assume that goes for mostly public schools-
Also this movie makes me cry* every time I watch reactions to it- I remember seeing it in theaters with my siblings and mom when there was only one other family there. It hit so close to home since I gots me some diagnosed and medicated severe anxiety, def was in awe over how beautifully they portrayed it all- Pixar is so good at this haha
21:11 love that the animators threw in a bit to poke at corporate Disney
my cats hate the iphone alarm as much as i do they jump everytime lol
Same, sorry in advance
31:11 i’m dying 😂
Loved sobbing in the movie theater watching this over the summer 🥲
Glad to see someone else hit by “I don’t know how to stop anxiety” 😂….oof
i have major anxiety and at some point during the film when it’s peeking my husband turned to me and went “is this what it’s like in your head 24/7?”💀
These movies have really helped me with my parenting approach. My daughter has grown up with Riley in a way.
Without fail, everyone immediately reacts in anger and despair when they introduce anxiety
7:53
"Aww, you look cute"
"I'm evny"
"Ah fuck"
@will_o_wisp i think it was a good choice to make envy into a small cute child-like creature. to be able to accept your own envy and know, that it is just the child inside of you wanting anything that's nice.
...not welchy be feeling envy half of the commentary
😂😂😭
@@Welchy it's true tho😭
Watching you go “YAAAAAYYY!” and clapping like a kid was so funny and I loved it
His switch up with Joy and Anxiety was AMAZING LMAOOOOO
BILLY BINGES MENTION! Loved this reaction
SAME!!
BILLY BINGES MENTION‼️‼️‼️ love both of you and nice knowing we had the same rollercoaster during the movie :)
SAME 😭
Great reaction, keep up the good work.
Ps. Your one of the funniest reactors I watch.
Aww thank you so much!! That means a lot 😊
27 seconds ago I didn’t know I was this speedy.
You fast af
God, the irony of a guy holding in his emotions during a movie about emotions is hilarious. 😂😂
“Trying not to cry coping mechanism” 😂😂😭💀 LMFAO!!!!
18:25 I mean last time anger was the "leader" Riley almost ran away so 😅
It’s not a puberty button, it’s a puberty alarm
I watched this with my dad (most my family has verry bad depression/anxiety suicide and stuff, my dad his bipolar too, and has suffered alot. Anywayy I saw this movie in theatre with my dad and sister and my dad dead ass started crying and then the whole drive home was either silent or talking about how its important if we need to we can always talk to him and stuff.
(I'm 15, one sister is 11 and the other is 9)
In moderate amounts, anxiety can:
Improve performance: It helps keep you alert, focused, and motivated, especially in situations like exams, work deadlines, or competitions.Signal potential problems: Anxiety can act as an early warning system, prompting you to address issues or prepare for future challenges.Enhance decision-making: By making you more cautious, it can help you evaluate risks and make better choices in uncertain situations. However,
excessive anxiety can be harmful, so it’s important to manage it effectively when it becomes overwhelming.
My parents forced me to constantly stress about the future and only pick "important" friends. Then my mom regretted it when i was in my late 20s - because all of that Anxiety only caused me health issues and didn't help at all. And the longest lasting friend since we were 12 until our 30s, was
the one who never went to my high school....
26:42 I'm crying on the school bus
:((
@@Welchy :*((
In the end, none of us know how to stop anxiety. Some of us just don't know how to deal with it...and by some of us I mean me.
As a mexican, I deeply appreciate your comment about football vs soccer haha
Not Welchy with the ✨️hair glow up✨️ Stick a mullet on anything and it give +90 rizz😂
🤣🤣
this movie hits so hard man. definetly agree, not for kids. like i wonder what a kid would take away from this. ofcourse not the hard hitting message adults would but i think it still gives a messageof mindfullness and self acceptance teenagers or pre-teens need. i love how they made joy likable like HOLY, from unsufferable to lovable. very good arc.
as a 15yo boy who always feels like a bad person and everything else in this movie, I cried so hard every scene
riley was basically being joyful and having fun, and the coach sees it as her being delinquent
I fully cried in the movie theater watching this with my friends.
I'm only 15 now and yet this movie helped me realize so much, I genuinely think this movie helped me as a person 😭⁉️ joy saying "maybe this is what happens when you grow up, you feel less joy."
UGAHHH😭😭 STOP
I've spent 25 years and counting every school day with these kidz. Their successes, fails, trys, crisis and both movies hit my heart, hard.
I spent a year living on the shore of the Clyde, in Lamont lands, and it was a pleasure listening to you.
Lowkey love welchy name dropping BillyBinges in this XD
I agree on Val, she's one of my favourite parts of this movie. Why should cool girl = bitchy and mean in children's media? Val is so wholesome!
the billy binges mention 😂
Just cryyyyyyy! It's normal, that was the entire point of the first movie! :D
Aww I did man, I actually took a 5 minute break during the movie after I cried, the nearly being sick is just my body’s way of coping before the tears xD
@@Welchy Ye my own eyes be more like waterfalls, when the tears want to flow they flow XD
28:11 my mind went crazy after that sentence 💀
Also I’m pretty sure the reason that they made Ennui French is because the word is French but I don’t have a clue 😭
As a 45 year old mother of 3 I experience all 10 of these emotions at least 3 days out of the week! 😂🤣 I have a 13 year old and let’s just say that as a parent I wasn’t ready when I took her to see this movie! I cried in Part 1 and more-so in this one when anxiety took over because I’ve suffered from it for years and still do and my oldest daughter does as well. I’ve honestly never really tried to fit in or be fake and was always true to myself because I knew that no matter what I would never be alone in life, which is why I have so many positive people around me.
I was so scared when they released this because I had no clue where it was going to go and the sequels as of late have been awful….this by far surpassed all my expectations. It’s an INCREDIBLE movie. PHENOMENAL
"but to play the sport you have to play the game" realest and most profound statement ive ever heard
cried while watching it for the first time and then cried watching Welchy cry while watching it his first time :( this movie was too good
Inside Out 2: Welchy feels everything!
Facts
I'm 30+! and this movie is helping me deal with my anxiety better than any pill I suffer with crippling anxiety and seeing the panic attack was too real for me when anxiety is going that fast that there is just a after image of her because when you in that state you freeze while at the same time your brain in going 1000 mph I'm now telling myself when I feel anxiety coming on "can I control that now is there anything I can do?" if the answer is no then take a deep breath and wait and see and its all because of this movie also when joy said she doesn't know how to stop anxiety and maybe this is what happens when you grow up you feel less joy omg my heart hurt when she said that
Inside Out 3 i think they should try grief there is a lot of us out there that supress grief and don't know how to handle it would be great to teach not just kids but us adults too how to deal with one of the rawest of emotions
4:30 - I don't know either but I chuckled.
You make my joy show up ;D
I love how well this movie hits the nail on the head when it comes to anxiety and panic attacks! And your reaction is priceless. Plus, it's okay to cry, dude! We won't judge (cause we all likely cried, too, when we watched it)!
And your dog is so cute!!!
Embarrassment is the MVP
SAY IT LOUDER
@@Welchy EMBARRASSMENT IS THE MVP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You had almost exactly the same reactions to the film that I did first time watching it. It was great man
4:06 facts. disney is not even animating anymore, just live actions
Welchy's character development to start defending Joy was nice to watch
Embarrassment MVP!!!! I thought the first one was amazing but this one honestly blew it out of the water. It really was one of their best films I think. I had my own anxiety attack watching this LOL
There are only three words all who went to see this movie thought of when they left the theater-Damn You Pixar!!
Year after year they keep making films that just stab straight into the heart. And worst part is as a kid you cry for one reason but when you go back and rewatch the film as a teen or adult you cry for a whole another reason.
Mullet looks good^^ Your old hair did too!
Totally agree, Embarassment was the MVP throughout the whole movie
Have you ever seen "Legend of the Guardians, the owls of Ga'hoole"? As far as emotional animations go you might like that one^^
Thanks for the fun video!
7:34 we're never forgetting this.
7:56 LMAO
As someone who's been homeschooled, and officially starting college tomorrow, this movie (and reaction) was an interesting look into the social hierarchys of people who went to school.
