- One of my better T-62A games so far. A good, relatively close match against a decent enemy team. Even with these new guns, T95s are next to impossible to penetrate from the front. Maybe I just need to lern2shoot?

I never said it wouldn't happen, but it IS harder, and there'll always be players good enough to do it. There aren't any T-43s, T-150s or T-20s in tier 10 games for the big guys to farm easy kills on anymore. Anyone who gets a TopGun or Boelters today really has to work for it.
I'm rarely an expert in a tank I have less than a dozen games played in, but thanks all the same.
Fodder is a word for food for animals, cannon fodder therefore means "food for cannons", it's usually used to describe the poor guys who have no chance and are just there as something for the enemy guns to keep busy with.
In this context it means the lower tier tanks in high tier games, like the poor tier 6 heavies who got thrown into tier 10 battles. With the new matchmaker, there's no cannon fodder anymore.
Apparently this was the actual gun that the T62-A (note A) ...had equipped ...the "A" was the prototype/testing version before they actually made the "general issue" T-62 MBT tank, which DID feature the 115-smoothbore gun. WG company purposely picked the "A" variant, because they feel that any "modern-smoothbore" type guns will be too powerful, and require crazy high pen and damage values, compared to what we have in game already.
Which makes you wonder...how much HIGHER pen would it have ?!
Oh it's still perfectly possible to get a large number of kills, I mean... I said that and in the same game I nearly got TopGun, which doesn't help my case. :p
I'm just saying it's probably not going to be happening as often. Less cannon fodder, less easy kills.

nice battle though, thats one of the battles where t-62a is better then most others
having more than 8000 battles and a 1200 efficiency rating is not bad, it's better than mine..

You usually get 3-4 tier 10s per side NOW. After 7.5 that's going to change for two reasons. First, there are going to be a hell of a lot more Tier 10s, at least three times as many, because there are going to be Tier 10 meds, TDs *and* heavies. Secondly the matchmaking spread is changing. Tier 10s have a Battle Tier spread of 10, 11 and 12. In a battle tier 11 game, there will only be tier 9 and 10 tanks. In battle tier 12, there are only tier 10 meds, TDs and heavies.
I wonder if the JPIV is going be any better if Tier 8 is the highest it's going to face? 132mm of penetration doesn't sound quite so bad now.
Pretty basic stuff. Reload timer, damage panel, coloured tank icons. I'm waiting for them to be updated for 7.5 at the minute.
Yeah, in my limited experience it seemed like a very versatile tank, and having the best DPM doesn't hurt either.
you know .. you said that the max kills you get in those battles with tier 10 meds is about 3..
actually it is not right.. first of all lets mention that the balance in the test servers is so much different that you cant compare it accurately to the main server. second point is that there wont be as much high tiers in a battle in the main server. you usually get about 3-4 tier 10s per side, 5-6 tier 8s and some arty.
When you shoot at tanks and dmg them the amount of dmg comes up as a white text.Is that a mod and if so wich one?Or is it in game but i have missed to activate it?

It's not a mod I think. You go on Settings/Options Then on the last one to the right.
Then you pick what you want and yeah thats it.
There is an option to view damage caused.
The only free tanks are the ones in tier one.
Other than that, there isn't any chance to get a free tank for you.
Well, at least the T-62A doesn't have the 115mm gun it had equipped IRL

you sure about that? iv been in numerous battles with other in t-62a that get between 4 and 8 kills
you cant drive, hitting all those buildings

Nice wolfpack game, this is probably why I love this tank, already on top of loving the T-54.
