      The association should retrieve those newspapers and frame them. They could mount them on the wall next to the stairwell along with a framed print-out that explains their significance in English and/or Cantonese.

    Thank you Mike, Bighead, J for taking us inside the Tung On Association! I have always wanted to know what they looks like. And thank you all for taking the time to explain every compartment and the exact spots of the killings of Norman and Mike. 2) Do Chinese Gangs in America leans more with the Communist or Nationalist Sun Yat Sen?

    Has the Tong On Association has become something of a social club for former members of the gang to socialize and reminisce? I’m laboring under the assumption that a location so well-known among NYPD and local civilians would be unsuitable for active gangland activities, aside from some potential gambling amongst the Mahjong players.
    Edit: That’s answered toward the end of the video.

    • @chinatowngangstories
      @chinatowngangstories  Рік тому +4

      It’s considered illegal gambling when there’s an exchange of money and the house benefits from it. It’s now a place for seniors to get together and play mahjong for fun. There are many senior centers in Chinatown where the elderly get together and play mahjong without any exchange of money. It’s understandable when a Non-Asian see this, they’ll think something illegal is going on.

    • @chinatowngangstories
      @chinatowngangstories  Рік тому +6
