The backgrounds on my IC title are smooth. I also got the Big Gold on Tuesday. It's amazing how beautiful it looks. I brought it to work, and the local bar, and lots of people enjoyed holding it and taking pictures with it. Unfortunately though, mine has the goofy red gator leather looking back to it.

Not sure why they decided to do it on that belt only. Collecting these belts is a special kind of addiction, haha. I love them. Soon I'm going to look into purchasing my first metal replica, just have to decide which one. There's a good chance your videos will help that decision. Thanks again!

Larry Yadao These commemorative belts are practically the same dimensions of the replicas, and look pretty much identical. I believe all the toy ones are very, very different, and are very small.
I have a general preference for replicas over commemoratives, just because they are heavier, and I can build somewhat of an illusion that's it's closer to the real thing. However, the replica and commemorative versions of this belt practically look identical, and it's just the weight of the belt, and the plastic bolts on the back that are different. If one is on a budget then I would recommend just picking up the commemorative version. It would also be easier to carry around if you went to an event or something.
How much does it truly weigh in pounds? Does the plates feel authentic in the case of not feeling cheaply made and feel sturdy? First time buying a belt and I would like the opinion of one more experienced.

However, it is not "flimsy" plastic that will just easily bend or break. The only way I think you're going to break it is if you apply a reasonable amount of pressure (bend) to it... Of course you would not be able to curve it however!

The only drawback I would think of of the current WWE World Heavyweight Championship (that Roman Reigns holds) is that there are many diamonds/stones on it; some or many of these could easily fall out depending on how it is treated. Of course you would not have this problem with the Intercontinental title, as there are no stones on the plates. They give you a mini bag with replacement stones, but it probably won't be enough to cover many of them if they fall out.
I only have one deluxe belt. I'm not sure how many owners it had before I got my hands on it, but the strap does seem more flexible than that of a standard replica.
