Been a Bill and Ted fan for over 30 years I grew up with these movies, I'm a 41 year old man and I'm not ashamed to admit that this part made me tear up some manly tears to see the two great ones finally succeed in their destiny to bring Universal Harmony
I’m 40 years old and I’ve been a fan for the same amount of time. I’ve been waiting so long for this movie and I choke up at this ending for the same reason you said. It really does capture the essence of “be excellent to each other” and showing the planets aligning which was mentioned in the first movie was a magical feeling. Also glad the song was an instrumental.
Manly tears here as well. I remember seeing the original at the movie theater as a kid and watching it countless times on VHS. It's most excellent to watch something so unapologetically upbeat.

During covid and a big project. I got some time off on the release day but couldn't rent this movie. it was sad but a few days later I got to rent this movie and it helped me get through the hard project.
My fav part is the last line of the movie. "It wasn't so much the song that made the difference. It was the fact that we were all playing it together. And it worked." If only we could get there.
In someway we did. Just necessary at the same time. But if u gather everymoment throught out time someone play instruments, dance to beat or sing along . You get this
I want it noted: in bill and Ted excellent adventure when they visited the future, the song In Time played which said "in time, we'll be dancing in the streets all night" and that is in fact what they are doing in this scene with this song fuckin epic
i’m 21 and when i was 4 i seen both Bill and Teds movies and always had them on repeat with the CD’s . when this movie came out , i got so torn up , the tears , the emotions and everything came out of me .

I think it was better that this movie took so long to come out because the effects and cgi at the end made a lot of justice to the fabled event of the world-uniting song.

how nice it would be a world concert and everywhere the people in the cities would carry the same song around the world at the same time with live broadcast
Best part of the movie, but you can't stop and wonder how literally everyone, including average people, can play along despite having no experience with instruments. I know it's just a movie, but still.
Loved this scene, and the movie overall, and i especially love that history got so twisted that they believe that Bill and Ted wrote the song not their daughters.
in a way it's disapointing we didn't get the super epic amazing song, but on the other hand, no song no matter how great it was would ever have lived up to the hype :> So by making it not about the music, but everyone making music together was the perfect balance.
The one thing to understand is Music is universal even if someone can't understand the lyrics of thr song the music can move them ever heard a song from another country but felt mover it eas thr music not thr song
Disagree on the song living to hype part. God gave rock and roll ending of part 2 still gives me the chills and it was both beautiful and perfect for the message. A part 3 was just not needed after the what we see in the ending of Bogus Journey credits.
The problem with this silly premise is that 90% of the world would have absolutely no idea what the hell to do if you gave them an instrument and not know what C Major is.
@@malibutaa I think a better payoff that keeps the end of 2 more intact would be if the message was that the 'music that unites the world' is Bill and Ted go back in time and essentially invent the gift of music to early man, playing concerts throughout time. It isn't one song, which is why the future people don't know what the song is. What unites us is what already unites us: humans inherently understand rhythm, harmony, etc. every culture, everywhere.
Goku has the Spirit Bomb... Bill & Ted have the Spirit Jam. One is to fight bad guys... the other is to fight back the collapse of the universe itself.
Made me laugh at Washington and his men crossing the Delaware while playing music, when IRL they secretly and quietly crossed that under cover of night to sneak up on the British. Hope all that music didn't give them away lol
I think I wrote a better ending to this in my head - kind of. So, I didn't hate this movie, but I didn't like it that much. The twist that it was their daughters was obvious the very second they say "Preston/Logan". So here's the better ending - so the far-future prophecy is that Bill and Ted unite the world with music. However, the future people don't actually have the song. Bill and Ted don't have the song. I'm pretty sure not even in the earlier movies, do they have 'the song' (maybe the KISS song at the end of Bogus Journey?). You also have a problem, as a writer: you want to deliver to your audience this song, to finally give them payoff/closure. But realistically, nobody could write anything that would actually come close, because that would mean as a writer, YOU have to write a world-uniting song, which nobody can do. So the actual ending is that everybody misunderstood the prophecy. Bill and Ted do unite the world with music, in a way that we are already united: with the actual gift of music, itself. Because we ALREADY ARE UNITED WITH MUSIC. Every single culture, every single uncontacted tribe, everybody in history, has understood rhythm, harmony, and scales. Even if they didn't actually have the math and comprehension of the science of music, everybody knows a harmonious sound versus a discordant sound. That's the uniting gift of music, it's something uniquely human. Even going back to Indian chants or caveman drumming. If you took a copy of Dark Side of the Moon back to Ancient Rome, it might confuse them, but they'll still think it sounds great, because music is universal. So that's the twist. Bill and Ted go back in time, and essentially INVENT music, giving the gift of music to early mankind, and the revelation is that the world doesn't need a song to unite them, mankind has had music uniting it all along.

Music is the sound to lifes soundtrack
It can move us forward, take us back
To dream of the future, revisit our past
And make new memories to forever last
It brightens even the darkest days
Teach us lifes lessons in many ways
Brings people together in love and peace
Make problems and fights entirely cease
It lifts us up from the lowest lows
A tender support to soften the blows
We listen to music and take a journey
Down winding roads of new mystery
And arrive at the place to learn who we are
Then be led from there by a guiding star
Music is words wrapped in poetry
Shared with the world in beautiful melody
Each of us have our own special song
That makes all seem right and nothing wrong
And as the ones out there who can create
The music to open our emotional gate
Letting out the feelings from deep inside
To flow through time, an endless tide
And sing the chorus of our lives
Inspiring us to love, grow and strive
Music is lifes creative foundation
And surely mankinds most precious creation
