I was recently at the "Tyrannosaurs -Meet the Family" exhibit at the Milwaukee Public Museum. Fantastic exhibit. There was a replica of Scotty and it was huge, massive, and wonderful.
I find these so amazing, I’m still undecided like how were dinosaurs made? Like basically they are monsters, who made them and how? Why? All these questions we will never ever know...

Because birds are also classified as reptiles too, so she's on the right track when saying "lizard" just that birds descended from dinosaurs instead haha. And just in case you didn't know that, you should look it up.
They actually are pretty much the same size as the Jurassic park versions of T-Rex. But don't forget that a skeleton always looks smaller than the living animal, even human skeleton looks really small than the actual human.

Carcharodontosaurids are completely different than Tyrannosaurus of the Maastrichtian. They looks similar but they are not. They shows gigantic sizes but it is the only point of comparison. And finally the biggest land predator (but he is amphibious) is undoubtedly Spinosaurus Egyptiacus.
@@limoucheu8522 yes but T-Rex is built like a true heavyweight. Both Giganosaurus and semi-aquatic Spinosaurus would lose in a fight with the barrel chested more robust jaw of T-Rex. Spino mouth was meant to catch fish, and Giga as you mentioned was like a tall skinny man going against a slightly shorter burly guy.

The only fight possible is a carcharodontosaurid against a Spinosaurus (We have a dorsal vertebra of a Spinosaurus of medium size with the neural spine truly cut in the middle part by a gigantic carcharodontosaurid bite, we don't know if it is Carcharodontosaurus or another unidentified yet member of the family). For Giga yes he is lightly built than Tyrannosaurus but do you ever see a dorsal of these guy? The centrum is enormous (certain of the dorsals are more than 30 cm) and the lateral and dorsal process (lateral process and neural spines indicate a fantastic muscle mass. The complete dorsals mesure a little lesser than 60 cm with tall neural spines (especially on Tyrannotitan) place to put tendons and muscles. Prof. Genki nope. Take a good look at Scotty. He is nowhere near as wide or tall as Sue. I live pretty close to Chicago and have been to the Field Museum multiple time. I’ve seen Sue so many times to be able to know just by sight that Scotty is nowhere near as big. Longer? Maybe. Taller? No. Wider? No. Heavier? Maybe, but I don’t count weight when measuring size. In other words, Sue is bigger.

The estimations for Scotty relied on femoral circumference, which isn't the most reliable indicator for mass. Paleontologists such as Brian Switeck have pointed this out. I've worked in the natural history museum industry and I can tell you for a fact that all this 'largest this' and 'largest that' is so politically driven that people are willing to overstep real science.
