mikes vids are like crack im checking youtube every day looking for new vids, i cant watch other ppls vids because they just dont compare. hes the walter white of project car vids
You can use s14 front control arms with s13 knuckles you just have to use 2 washers under the nut to space the threads out, or replace the bushing to an s13 one and they bolt directly in. Increases camber without really doing anything and looks factory 😊
I don't know why but your videos keep poping up in my recommended, while others vanished into absolutely nothing. I don't get why this even happens to some people. Love your content btw. Keep up that work. And something else I wanted to say is that the junkjard videos I like the most. Even more the joy you get when you find parts for your cars. I really like that.
I always put ATE silicone paste under the piston rubber. Helps repel water, prevents piston from rusting and lubricates the piston as well. 360k km. 17years stock OEM calipers, new pistons once or twice
Thank you Mike for being one of the most humble people I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. If you ever come to Cali, I’d love to shake your hand. Thank you for all the knowledge you’ve brought to us all.
I know you talk about people getting unsubbed every video and i wanna be the one to say this. i used to be super toxic and leave nasty comments all over youtube and i would get unsubbed religiously. since ive cleaned up my comments and stopped posting all of that stopped. the people that are saying they are getting unsubbed are leaving hateful messages on other videos and thats the reason. Happy streaming !
Another great video! I'm currently converting my car to EFI and in the process of DIY the crank trigger pulley, fuel lines and electric pump, and I'm will use ITB's from a 06' Yamaha R1, I hope it runs good!
Setup your bump stops so the shock bottoms out b4 the wheel contacts the top of the wheel well. The 13/14 ball joints have different tapers for the knuckles
Mike! There is a way to fix it! US power runs at 60hz so your LED lights also flicker at 60hz. You shoot at 60FPS meaning the minimum shutter speed your camera can do is 1/120. Most cameras shoot at 1/125 as their closest match, 5hz higher than the flicker rate of your lights x2. The easiest way to fix this would be to not shoot footage in the shop at 60FPS. If you shoot at 30 or even 24FPS you can select a shutter speed which doesn’t interfere with the lights. You’ll also get better quality out of your camera because you won’t need to adjust the ISO as high. If you still want to shoot high refresh rate content, try shooting it at 50FPS instead, that’ll still give you smooth motion but you’ll be able to set your shutter speed to 1/100, removing the clash that occurs with the LED lights.
Looking back over the footage it seems like whatever you use to shoot these videos decides to use the shutter speed to adjust exposure because it happens sometimes but not others. If you’re using a phone you should be able to get 3rd party apps which allow you to lock the shutter speed and rely on ISO to adjust exposure, give that a go as well and see what locking the camera to different shutter speeds does to the flickering.
everyday i'm just waiting for your posts because i love how you make everything look so easy and fun, makes me want to go fix my car too. Also keep up the good work
I did balljoints on my 98 Cummins yesterday and let me tell you it was hell, also grease the fittings after you put them in and torque it down I blew a brand new ball joint because I prefilled them to save 2 minutes of time
Everytime I watch one of your videos I'm inspired to work on my car even though its a slow boring Hyundai i20 (Perhaps even brainstorming some ideas since the Veloster turbo manifold looks like it might fit the little 1.4L NA but my empty wallet says no at the moment ahaha). Keep up the good work man - definitely one of my favourite automotive YT channels 🔥🔥
Love watching your videos I have a c33 laurel and a31 cefiro pretty much Nissan 4 door s13s gives me so much motivation to get both back on the road and legal
Hay man, love the content. I know you probably know but there is some brackets your missing on your front brakes it’s like a spring to keep tension on the two slide pins. Think it’s to stop the pins vibrating and wearing. Love the content keep it up 😁
You mentioned your old brakes were from an s14 but the ones equipped with the sr20det had bigger brakes, very close to the bigger z32 ones. z32TT front brakes are almost the same as the turbo s14 (same 280*30mm discs, 4 pistions but z32 callipers are aluminium instead of iron/steel for the s14 - lighter and might adds some cooling to the pads). s14 have small tiny rear brakes though .... even the turbo ones
Wish one day you could come visit the Affinity Circuit in Oregon man you would have a blast! Keep it wheel brother man. One day you guys should do an rc drift video.
Fun fact. 2005 Sentra ser brakes fit the s13. I used s14 rotors but they had the same issue the sentra had, the pads were only half on the rotor. They worked great it was just weird pad wear.
When the piston of the calliper is seized you can pull off the boot of the piston and spray in some WD40, one of my rear callipers was seized and I couldn’t get it compress to fit the new pads and with some WD40 in there it freed up and works fine again
Hey i love youre vids I’m building a 1988 Silvia s12 my self if you by any chance have a set of stock s13 rear calipers you could measure the length between the holes and show you would really help a fellow Nissan builder know it’s a long shot 😅😂
PrizzaMike video upload notifications is like getting a text from a good friend on the weekend; it's going to be fun! Your knowledge level is like a Mechanical Engineer (maybe more...some Mechanical Engineers never turned a wrench). Thanks for sharing the knowledge! What a coincidence, I actually need new front brake pads and rotors for my car too. ☺️ Car sounds amazing! I noticed you don't have a rear view mirror in the S13; is this a metaphor for how to live - "don't look behind, just focus on what ahead"? It sort of reminds me of a scene from an old movie called Gumball Rally. Are those Z wheels on the G sedan? Looks good! I was wondering, once the Nissan Gloria quarter panels and trunk repair are completed, is there any plan of doing a Sunroof swap from another Nissan or Infiniti? Thanks for the upload; it's great 'Edutainment'!
Mate big report and love to your project mate you will do it alll one day buddy . I an the same as but a mk6 fiesta zetec mate hopefully we will have all the work done one day mate best wishes to
So the light has to do with the refresh rate you would film, if I set my camera to 50Hz i get lines from the lights in my house, Might be worth checking in to, but its not horrible at all! Keep up your content its amazing!
this makes me wanna go rebuild my engine since i accidentally blew it up, but i start thinking about actually doing that and nahhhhh, i hate working on a v6 lmao
Mike, idk if you've ever used a clay bar but if not you really should clay bar all of your cars once or twice a year. It's really simple, water sprayer/hose+buy a clay bar or two. Soak the car and always keep where you're clay baring wet with sprayer or hose. It does wonders for removing stuck on bugs, micro contaminates in the paint, etc. Makes the paint feel smooth as hell and really brightens up the color/shine. Anyone into cars should be doing it, but only once or twice a year, not something you should do very often.
Don't do it to some of the cars that have surface rust or major clear coat peeling though since that's just pointless and will make the car look worse than it already is.
this is addicting

I love the way how you are explaining the things you are doing on the car but not forcing us to watch and just doing some crazy transitions.
it is really cool to see this car go from the crushed mess it used to be after the crash to the clean s13 it is now

You motivate me so much, Mike! I bought an evo 3, and I'm gonna make those interior fabrics just like your cars 😂
Please don't. If it is an Evo leave the interior standard as possible
@nzuncovered1845 kinda agree with u on that one... can't really mess with stuff that's hard to find
For real he will devalue it like crazy, plus you can't really beat OEM interiors. He may have been joking hopefully lol@@dannydatenu1446

Why not just use Sentra ser rotors with it? I run them as well. I'm guessing you suggest it that way so that you can use 5 lug without redrilling?

Hate those RC body type clips for brake caliper pins, had one come off on my C3. Only use bending type cotter pins now.
Your wheel hub it's gone to, I can tell by the noise it did
That G is very very clean!! What wheels are those??
