I have quite a few high-end foundations but when I am having a day of mostly Zoom calls, I prefer to use cheaper stuff. I discovered that using L’Oreal Lumi under Sephora Best Skin Ever literally rivals any of my higher-end stuff. It is now my every day go-to. I use the one you showed and I have a tinted pinkish one. Both work great.
For the longest time my son called yesterday "the day back behind". It was so cute and my husband and I still call it that sometimes just because it's adorable lol.

Top secret make-up artist tip here..Apply any mascara to bottom lashes vertically w/the tip of the wand..BEFORE it dries..Take a Travel Toothbrush or any disposable fluffy wand (Univeralsal Pro Beauty Supply for cosmetoligists)..And, use THAT vertically AND back & forth motion to distribute the product..

When my oldest was like 2.5-3, she would call Funyuns funny onions. We always call them that now. She gets a kick out of it even at 8, although she would never call them that anymore 🥺

Jess is adorable, and she sounds about 12 years old, her voice was so much higher and thinner back then (not a bad thing, just a thing!) It's been a privilege and so fun to watch her (and Tyler) grow and mature before our eyes, get married, become parents, run successful businesses, and everything else! I just adore them -- it's a weird thing because they don't really know me, but we know them! (the parts they show online, of course). Jess has mentioned/mused about thinking about becoming a therapist someday, and she would be AMAZING at it (you would, Jessica!!!), but I'd miss the videos if they stopped them. :)

Maybeline Sterling griege is my favorite, then nude glow and the glow down. I have extra just in case. Also the cover girl blush in true plum is great if you want that purple mauve color that was trendy awhile back, but it’s very wearable.

Those first two L'oréal products brought back so many memories to me! I bought both when I was a teenager. The Magic Perfecting Base was expensive for a drugstore product here in Ireland and I felt so bougie splurging on it lol I didn't even wear foundation back then so I have no idea why I thought I needed it in the first place. I love the cute things kids say, my daughters cracked me up so much, they still do! One time we bought a stationary workout bike, my oldest was reading the directions that said "helps with stamina", so she says "Mom what is staaaaameeeenaa?" LOL. Then my youngest loved eating Captain Crunch cereal but could not pronounce it and called it crap n crunch, I can't even! Great video, I'm enjoying Covergirl so much and Revlon with their classy, iconic lipsticks and blushes!
Drugstore makeup I use EVERY single day: Pixi peach corrector (for that dark area in the inner corner of eyes), No 7 Lift & Luminate Concealer, No 7 Lift & Luminate powder in light, to set the under eye, Elf Wow Brow for brows, CoverGirl Super Sizer Waterproof mascara (it's the only one that holds the curl in my lashes!).
I love the number 7 lift and luminate pressed powder it's my favorite powder ever I'm super picky , it's getting harder to find now . I haven't tried the concealer or the protect and perfect foundation yet I heard that was really good to.
Nude Glow is one of my all time favorites! I love that you can use it year round, my second fav is one that you recommended Dusty Rose, I love it for spring/summer!

I am SO GLAD to have watched this. I want to try that mascara now. I'm always looking for a good, everyday mascara. I already have long lashes, they're just pale, so a mascara that just kinda, flutters them out and gives some color is exactly what I want. The Lumi Glotion looks so nice too!. I feel like adding it to moisturizer for the chest and shoulders in the summer would be amazing! My only slept-on products from the drugstore are Covergirl Clump Crusher in Green being a reasonable dupe for Benefit Rollerlash (or maybe its the other way around) and Maybelline Great Lash in clear makes a really good brow setter! My mom has eyebrows like I do, with super pale blonde bits so they look like you're missing part of your brow and she's used a taupe eyeshadow as brow powder since the 80s and used Maybelline Great Lash in clear to set it for her work day. I did the same until Benefit came out with shade 2.5 in their pencil. It's so much cheaper than actual clear brow gels which are essentially, just clear mascara.
Agree on the easy everyday eyeshadow and makeup. Still love playing with color and new palettes, but eyes look amazing when I just use a bronzer for the crease and a highlighter (I have the ofra quad pan and use the shade similar to the Maybellien one you tried today).
I took your advice and just bought that shadow today. Got home. Realize it’s almost identical to my CG eye enhancers in mink. If you have one you definetley don’t need the other one. FYI.
My trick for lower lash line is that I use a clean spoolie to separate my lashes after mascara, then I use the small amount that's on the spookie to apply the lightest amount of mascara on lower lashes- and only one coat. Always the perfect, subtle amount. I think the full amount straight out of the tube is just too much and gives that Twiggy look!
That lipstick colour is gorgeous on you! I have used so many tubes of Revlon lipstick over the years. It really is the best. My hg drugstore items are L'Oreal Voluminous mascara, Maybelline Tattoo Studio gel eyeliner in bold brown ( great in the waterline!) and Maybelline fit me blush in the colour nude.
I also blend a little of the Loreal Lumi into my sunscreen for a little glow and illumination in that. I use a very lightweight Asian sunscreen and the Lumi just gives it a little kick.

Full and Soft is def my lifetime most-purchased mascara. It’s so fluffy and separated, and you can usually find it in brown. My OG since the 90s!

I'm shocked how underrated Revlon Candid Photoready foundation is. It is so natural looking and lasts all day, just looking like skin.
I think Revlon as a whole is underrated. Their Fierce mascara is really good, I don’t know why barely anybody mentions it

The Full and Soft waterproof is my holy grail mascara! It just always looks so nice on my lashes. It gets better as it dries out.

I think the lure of the over extravagant $$$$ hauls has had its day I personally don’t follow any of those you tubers anymore even the ones that only showcase expensive stuff

WOW! I just went to Walmart and found the Maybelline Nude Glow shadow and the Covergirl Soft Mink blush and they are both soooo beautiful! Under 10$ for both products. I would love more of these videos Jess!!!

I am SO GLAD to have watched this. I want to try that mascara now. I'm always looking for a good, everyday mascara. I already have long lashes, they're just pale, so a mascara that just kinda, flutters them out and gives some color is exactly what I want. The Lumi Glotion looks so nice too!. I feel like adding it to moisturizer for the chest and shoulders in the summer would be amazing! My only slept-on products from the drugstore are Covergirl Clump Crusher in Green being a reasonable dupe for Benefit Rollerlash (or maybe its the other way around) and Maybelline Great Lash in clear makes a really good brow setter! My mom has eyebrows like I do, with super pale blonde bits so they look like you're missing part of your brow and she's used a taupe eyeshadow as brow powder since the 80s and used Maybelline Great Lash in clear to set it for her work day. I did the same until Benefit came out with shade 2.5 in their pencil. It's so much cheaper than actual clear brow gels which are essentially, just clear mascara.

Agree on the easy everyday eyeshadow and makeup. Still love playing with color and new palettes, but eyes look amazing when I just use a bronzer for the crease and a highlighter (I have the ofra quad pan and use the shade similar to the Maybellien one you tried today).
I took your advice and just bought that shadow today. Got home. Realize it’s almost identical to my CG eye enhancers in mink. If you have one you definetley don’t need the other one. FYI.
My trick for lower lash line is that I use a clean spoolie to separate my lashes after mascara, then I use the small amount that's on the spookie to apply the lightest amount of mascara on lower lashes- and only one coat. Always the perfect, subtle amount. I think the full amount straight out of the tube is just too much and gives that Twiggy look!
I gotta get my hands on that blush again. It was a high school favorite, but omg it looks beautiful and radiant on you!
That's the exact Maybelline eyeshadow I mentioned in your dupes video. I love it, got to repurchase! Everything you tried looks so pretty on you.
That lipstick colour is gorgeous on you! I have used so many tubes of Revlon lipstick over the years. It really is the best.
My hg drugstore items are L'Oreal Voluminous mascara, Maybelline Tattoo Studio gel eyeliner in bold brown ( great in the waterline!) and Maybelline fit me blush in the colour nude.
I also blend a little of the Loreal Lumi into my sunscreen for a little glow and illumination in that. I use a very lightweight Asian sunscreen and the Lumi just gives it a little kick.

Maybeline full and soft waterproof is super good too. Still soft unlike lots of waterproofs.
Also as the formula dries down it gets better.
The Lumi Glow and Bronzer have been staples in my collection for years. I love them!

I love the Lumi Glotion! I pulled it back out a couple weeks ago and I've been loving it to give my skin a little extra life in the dry winter 👌🏻
