The deeper lip color is making your top work with your coloring. The paler peaches you are so currently drawn to actually wash you out a bit. I often wonder why you don’t wear more cool tones because they are so flattering with your coloring! I understand being drawn to colors - I love a lot of colors that fight with my skin tone and constantly have to remember they can “work” for me but it takes some extra effort (like needing to go a little deeper or mix them with some cooler tones). You’re always beautiful, of course!

Love the cute shirt! About the sky-high mascara, I looked all over to find it when I first heard about it and it was such a letdown. No volume, too clumpy, brush is odd for getting the corners or lower lashes, just yuck! I still love Clinique High Impact and They’re Real! from Benefit. Also wanted to tell you that Viseart makes some beautiful shadows with the BEST packaging. I love the Petit Palette in Midsommer and the Paris EDIT Palette. If they do more neutrals I will go for those too. The Peche one is too warm for me but gorgeous. The shadows are very finely milled, blend beautifully, mattes are soft and buildable and there are pearled shades as well as full-on gleam metallic effects. Definitely worth trying!
I got the PF blush practically the next day when you mentioned it in a previous video, and wow, I fell in love with it too, the color looks so nice and natural for me. (I think this is my first PF product ever)
You’re right about mascara preferences being so personal. I want mascara to separate and lengthen my lashes - which the Maybelline Sky High mascara does and I love it! I also love the brush that it has. Also, yes to the colour of the shirt. Looks great on you. Orange works with your beautiful brown hair.
Jessica! The new kosas shadows need to be patted, not rubbed, to blend. They recommend waiting ten seconds then patting to blend. They’re also advertised as watercolors so I think they are intended to be a bit more sheer, like a wash. Anyhow, give patting a try before you ditch them!
The makeup by mario bronzer I had the same problem, tried everything...then the very last thing I tried worked. Try using a stippeling brush, and dont just pounce in the product kind of sweep it and pounce, then take the extra product on the back of yours hand. I was willing to try anything to make it work because I paid so much for it. Hope this helps

It looks absolutely gorgeous for about a half an hour, and then immediately starts to break down, separate, and look chunky on my face.
I love the sky high mascara! I love it because it gives me length to my already long eyelashes and Great volume, but the reason I love it so much is because of the flimsy wand! It makes it so I don’t rub all the mascara into my eyelid, it just coats the eyelashes. since it is flimsy it doesnt “push” the eyelashes to my eyelid causing it to smear eyewhere. It was one of the biggest problems for me with other mascaras lol 🎉 so sad it didn’t work out for you.😢
I completely agree with you. I have very short lashes and sky high mascara make’s them look very long and separated without getting it all over my eyelids.
Whaaat I love the sky high mascara! I have naturally curly lashes though. The waterproof version is the only mascara that doesn’t flake or smudge on me and it’s easy to remove with a cleansing oil. I’m so happy that it works for me since it’s more affordable than my other faves (lancome monsieur big and stila huge extreme)
I have that Physicians Formula blush in pink sands that Jessica is raving about and it is absolutely as good as she says, it’s my everyday staple. Beautiful shade.
I would love an affordable dupe for the Merit lipsticks! The colors looks sooooo good, but I cannot swing $26 for one lipstick. I, too, love Brooklyn Nine-Nine! I was so sad when it ended... The Pink Sands blush is being purchased as we speak... And I do use the ELF Camo CC Cream because it's the best shade match I've ever found in a coverage product for me. I use 120N. I apply with a sponge dampened with setting spray and I set my T-zone with loose powder. I agree that at the end of the day, if I look close enough, I can see a bit of breakdown and pore-settling. But I like that it's not heavy-feeling like true foundations and that it is my perfect shade. I'd be open to alternatives if they are near the same price point and check all my boxes!
I recently bought the Merit lipstick- I think in the shade slip. It's beautiful, don't get me wrong especially if you have a light/medium olive skin tone like I do. BUT- it's almost more like a tinted lip balm so it wears off quickly. I don't think it's worth it. I only bought it because I got money back from a Sephora return.
I love the Merit cream blush!!! I use the rephr #4 brush directly on the little dome, and stipple it onto my cheeks. I use the shade Terracotta, and a little goes a long way. I also love the lipsticks and the lip oils.

I have a liquid eyeshadow from Sydney Grace and I love it. It seems to keep its sheen on my oily eyelids, and the color is beautiful. They are also only $8 a piece. I also ran out and got that PF blush after I saw you use it. I also love it! So pretty!

Hi from England. Sky High works for me. I turn 60 this year with hooded eyes and I find it easy to use, gives great length and doesn’t flake or smudge through the day. I don’t want lots of volume and this meets all my needs at a drug store price.
I had the same reaction to the elf cc cream. Got it thx to a recommendation from you. I was also starry eyed but started to notice the breaking in my smiles lines I’ve never noticed til later in the day. I really thought (ummm did I get wrinkles overnight?). Changed primers, used it without. Had no luck. It’s ok luckily it was affordable

Hey Jess, I don't know if you'll see this, as it's a day later, but...I had the same problem with the Milk lip+cheek stick as you have with the Merit blush. What finally worked was taking the Eco Tools 360 bronze brush (the pink handled one) and swirling the cheek stick directly onto the brush, then lightly tapping/swirling the brush onto my cheeks.
I adore the L'oreal Balm mascara. I have used it (in brown) every day since I got it! I bought the Merit lipstick in Slip per Jessica's recommendation. I would never have looked twice at the color had I not seen it on Jessica's lips. I bought it and used it every day on my recent vaca. Love it!

Hi Jess! So I am about the same skintine as you as and I use the makeup by Mario bronzer in light medium and I use a natural hair brush. I personally use the Jaclyn Hill bronzer brush but whatever you have, try that out. I love the way it looks! Hope that helps. Xoxo 😘
For me the elf camo cc cream works great and is one of the best that lasts beautifully all day on me…even working my 12+ shifts! I do have normal to dry skin, more on the dry side. So maybe that helps? But I did find it makes a huuuuge difference what I wear under it! I’ve found some that work well and stick with that. I love I don’t have to set it at all or anything. It blends out easy & wears great! It’s really one of my most effortless foundations 😂 But I have had it break up after a few hours when I wear other things under it. So maybe try different primers/moisturizers under it? So funny how one product can get so many different opinions. One loves, another hates, and always different reasons 😂 The La Roche sunscreen…I am pale and it still makes me look so crazy white! And I found it pills too!!!
I was also disappointed in the Pillow Talk shade of Eyes to Mesmerize. At the end of the day it was like there was no base pigment left and just these random sparkles left (not cute). I also agree that it is just flat compared to Oyster Pearl. I also hate that Sky High mascara. I don't like that floppy wand.

I honestly think your lipstick combo looks gorgeous on you. I think a deeper lip color looked perfect with your soft eyeshadow color. To me it balances out the overall look.
The Maybelline master presise skinny gel pencil eyeliner is a legit dupe for the hourglass millimeter one. I’ve also used one from tarte (might be the sugar rush sister line or whatever it’s called) but it was also just as comparable. The revlon colorstay liners are SO hard and just not very pigmented, I had to buy multiple shades just to make sure I hadn’t gotten a dried out one….nope they really are ALL that dry and bad….lol
I’m using that brown Revlon super skinny liner right now and it’s awesome! Mine is brown and has a brown cap - why does hers have a black cap? I also have the Maybelline one and I think they’re identical. I wonder if there are different versions or something? Seeing how I have a brown cap and her cap is black (yet she says it’s brown liner) and my text and placement on the pencil looks different….there must be something up with that liner and variations…
I found that the elf cc cream was great at first, had to buy two shades and mix for my perfect match but later on in the day I think hmmm what’s going on with my face so I tried a different moisturizer but it’s still happened. I’m giving it one more chance with the elf watermelon primer today to see it that grip helps.
I think it might be the shade for the Merit blush. I have 3 shades and Terracota is the one that blends the best for me and is so good. I have Beverly Hills which works well too, and Mood which I struggle with and is borderline patchy. I just don't get it. But Terracota is SO pretty and can also work as blonzer on a lazy, quick make up day.

I have the Merit cheeky blush. I use a stipple brush directly on the blush then apply it on my cheeks and blend it with a beauty blender. It’s gorgeous on the skin and lasts all day. So I bought the Terricota shade.

I have a liquid eyeshadow from Sydney Grace and I love it. It seems to keep its sheen on my oily eyelids, and the color is beautiful. They are also only $8 a piece. I also ran out and got that PF blush after I saw you use it. I also love it! So pretty!

I value your thoughts and opinions on products and letting us know which ones just don’t work for you and why helps a lot when I’m considering a foundation or bronzer or lip product. My skin color is close to yours, except I’m a bit fairer with pink undertones. I have an awful time finding foundation and bronzer and highlighters that are light enough for my skin tone so I appreciate you letting us know which shade you’re wearing and which color matches you. Jessica- I remember back when you were still teaching before you had your girls, you would make videos after work I believe. You’ve grown so much! Both in channel size and just as a human (weird to say but true lol). I’m older so I can say weird things! 🤷🏻♀️. Anyways, I’ve seen your sense of humor come out so much more the last few years and it seems you’re not afraid to be silly and kooky with us and I love that. I know for myself these things came both with age but also with becoming a mom- there’s something about having a tiny person ruling your body that makes you much less serious about life. Hi from England. Sky High works for me. I turn 60 this year with hooded eyes and I find it easy to use, gives great length and doesn’t flake or smudge through the day. I don’t want lots of volume and this meets all my needs at a drug store price.
I had the same reaction to the elf cc cream. Got it thx to a recommendation from you. I was also starry eyed but started to notice the breaking in my smiles lines I’ve never noticed til later in the day. I really thought (ummm did I get wrinkles overnight?). Changed primers, used it without. Had no luck. It’s ok luckily it was affordable

Hey Jess, I don't know if you'll see this, as it's a day later, but...I had the same problem with the Milk lip+cheek stick as you have with the Merit blush. What finally worked was taking the Eco Tools 360 bronze brush (the pink handled one) and swirling the cheek stick directly onto the brush, then lightly tapping/swirling the brush onto my cheeks.

Have you tried the elf CC using very small amount? When I apply small amount I get beautiful wear all day.

1. Love that shirt/color on you!! Like seriously! 2. If you want to be able to use up that Charlotte T Healthy Glow, it looks *gorgeous* mixed in with a moisturizer. I’m fair and I find when I did that it just gave my skin a hint of color and really just a literal healthy glow! Lol.
It’s also a beautiful product to mix in with a foundation that’s maybe a little light for you, or too matte/drying.
Hi Jess! So I am about the same skintine as you as and I use the makeup by Mario bronzer in light medium and I use a natural hair brush. I personally use the Jaclyn Hill bronzer brush but whatever you have, try that out. I love the way it looks! Hope that helps. Xoxo 😘

For me the elf camo cc cream works great and is one of the best that lasts beautifully all day on me…even working my 12+ shifts! I do have normal to dry skin, more on the dry side. So maybe that helps? But I did find it makes a huuuuge difference what I wear under it! I’ve found some that work well and stick with that. I love I don’t have to set it at all or anything. It blends out easy & wears great! It’s really one of my most effortless foundations 😂 But I have had it break up after a few hours when I wear other things under it. So maybe try different primers/moisturizers under it? So funny how one product can get so many different opinions. One loves, another hates, and always different reasons 😂

I was also disappointed in the Pillow Talk shade of Eyes to Mesmerize. At the end of the day it was like there was no base pigment left and just these random sparkles left (not cute). I also agree that it is just flat compared to Oyster Pearl. I also hate that Sky High mascara. I don't like that floppy wand.
I am glad to hear feed back, I was about to buy it for my boyfriend's university graduation and ended up going for pillow talk darker quad for the look. I have green eyes, dark blonde hair and cool ivory skin so I was like ooo for green eyes. It was the marketing 🥴

I honestly think your lipstick combo looks gorgeous on you. I think a deeper lip color looked perfect with your soft eyeshadow color. To me it balances out the overall look.

The Maybelline master presise skinny gel pencil eyeliner is a legit dupe for the hourglass millimeter one. I’ve also used one from tarte (might be the sugar rush sister line or whatever it’s called) but it was also just as comparable.
The revlon colorstay liners are SO hard and just not very pigmented, I had to buy multiple shades just to make sure I hadn’t gotten a dried out one….nope they really are ALL that dry and bad….lol
The master precise liner has been my go to for years! You can usually find it at dollar general for a really good price too!
I’m using that brown Revlon super skinny liner right now and it’s awesome! Mine is brown and has a brown cap - why does hers have a black cap? I also have the Maybelline one and I think they’re identical. I wonder if there are different versions or something? Seeing how I have a brown cap and her cap is black (yet she says it’s brown liner) and my text and placement on the pencil looks different….there must be something up with that liner and variations…

I found that the elf cc cream was great at first, had to buy two shades and mix for my perfect match but later on in the day I think hmmm what’s going on with my face so I tried a different moisturizer but it’s still happened. I’m giving it one more chance with the elf watermelon primer today to see it that grip helps.

I think it might be the shade for the Merit blush. I have 3 shades and Terracota is the one that blends the best for me and is so good. I have Beverly Hills which works well too, and Mood which I struggle with and is borderline patchy. I just don't get it. But Terracota is SO pretty and can also work as blonzer on a lazy, quick make up day.
