I just finished my first round with a Watt. I like it. Fantastic approach disc in the woods. I like it better than the Glitch.

What i have thrown the Glitch it's clearly a phenomenal disc in steep downhills. In my local course is a hole which is so downhill it's just crazy and when i throw my glitch it just glides there (of course throwing it downside). It really surprised me since it has so much glide you wouldn't really think of it perhaps for that purpose?

My Watt is definitely more stable than my glitch. I always get the fade at the end on it, but I do throw it nose up for touch shots between 150' and 225'. My proxy is quite a bit more understable but has a similar finish as it slows down.
As a player coming from ultimate, I love the Watt and use it a ton for approaches.
Comparing vs the glitch seems appropriate given the way the watt is marketed (and for views, people love the glitch) but I'd rather see it compared to an electron pilot or an Ohm, which see more similar in flight/concept.
Not familiar with the pilot but I thought he would’ve included the Ohm in the comparison fs.
The Pilot is almost exact the Ohm without overmold, the Ohm in premium plastic is like... impossible to find since the Nomad (very similar rim but something doesn't click with me, sry James Conrad). I want to get my hands on a Neutron Ohm.
I have an ohm in neutron. I'm still learning the game and the dual. I picked up a glitch today too play around with as well.
I've been using a pixel as my main putter but I'm thinking the ohm or the glitch might be better for approaches. 🤷♂️

I've been throwing an Atom for years and tbh i think it would have been their primary putt/approach disc if James didn't make the holy shot with an Envy and turn it into their best selling disc overnight.
I LOVE my Watt, it’s a better Glitch. When I throw the Glitch hard, it flips immediately. The Watt takes the power and stays on the line you put it on. Now my glitch is more of an up disc/long putter and the Watt is the driving putter.
The one practical place I use the glitch is for those super low ceiling under the tree putts. Nose up, little flick of the wrist, almost an air bounce.

Controllable glide, I like that description. So, on the way to play a round, I stopped in a convenience store that sold discs... snapped up the Zone OS just for funsies. I gotta say, I like it. I'm planning on nabbing a Watt as well. Good to see you. Smash.
Have you considered maybe throwing the OHM vs Watt? OHMs numbers are 2/5/0/1. Last I’ve thrown a Neutron OHM it was a bit more stable.
Mate I got a question for you, how are you gripping these discs? Are you fan gripping them like a putter or are you power gripping them like a midrange or driver?
are you throwing fan grip or power grip? I would think the extra glidey neutral discs when thrown hard should be fan gripped for less spin. I change up my grip on upshots depending if I want more spin or more nose up with fan
Anthony I hope you try the Lakewood Hills (White Bear Lake) course while you're in town. I know when we talked in the BRP parking lot, that you said you hadn't planned on it; but I love seeing my favorite courses in your videos.

I don't like the Glitch for soft runs at the basket because it can go long too easily. I like it more for approaches to reach the basket with less effort. I would use a slower disc with less glide, that's also heavier, so it a) won't travel as far past the basket, and b) is less susceptible to wind.
I'm holding an SE Watt and the core is shallower than the Glitch. Actually, I'm surprised to find the speed listed as a 2 because the disc feels just as shallow as my Envies and Proxies. The shoulder is more square than either, so I don't think it shares a core with any of those. I'm hoping it'll act like a Proxy with just a bit less bite at the end. Can't wait to throw it, and thanks for the comparison video!
Believe it shares a core with the Ohm which is a gyro pilot
@@justwondering1926I’m not sure about that because the Pilot is probably their deepest putter. The Watt is not deep at all. More shallow than the Envy and Proxy.

I have the eclipse proxy. I haven't thrown it much yet. I'm a newb and have too many discs to throw! 😬
I'm mostly focused on learning to throw understables like the crave, wetness, and others with negative two or three turn. My arm speed has gotten slightly faster than when I very first started a month ago so I have started trying to throw some eight and nine speed discs. I picked up an Insanity and a virus and I'm really liking them. I'm still working on my aim, but I'm starting to figure out how to throw them flat and let them use their turn and fade. It's fun trying to figure it out. I also picked up a couple of overstables so that I can start practicing some shots with those because some of the courses I've been to could use an overstable disc.
Just my opinion. I believe disc shop sales are slowing down, I don't know why. Could be a mix of things, and they definitely see it so they are going harder now trying to sell new discs as prices are slowly driven up
I hate fore handing the glitch maybe the watt fills that role?

I think its important to point out the watt was made to be thrown but the glitch was made to be caught.
I think you would really like the recycled R2 glitch. It's quite a bit more stable than the regular glitch
I would like to get an R2 that actually is true to that statement. I have three of them (the OTB drop ones) and all three, in different weights, are more understable than my other glitches
@@micahmilam914 That's completely crazy 😂 My buddies and I I think it's hilarious that all of ours are more stable, especially because the R2 ones are lighter. I have two R2 ones that are way more stable. I can send you one to try out if you want. You must have got a bunk couple

I have so much torque on my throws that I have to put the glitch on the steepest hyzer to get it to fly straight when throwing max power

What does OAT mean? I must have a flippy one then.

ie. you torque slightly off the discs flight path which creates unwanted angles, fluttering etc
