The critical temperature for ethane liquefaction is around -40 deg C, whereas as you have mentioned , it is stored at around -90 deg C. Can you give us the details as to why and how the storage tanks are insulated to retain low temperature.
hi, Ethane has a boiling point of −88.5 °C at atmospheric pressure; hence since the tanks are just barely above atmospheric pressure, we have to store/keep the cargo (ethane) in liquid form at -89°C to stay within the relief valve limits of the tank. Tanks are operating at 0.05~0.24 bar; Relief valves are set at 0.28~0.44 bar

coil is rubber coated & completely electrically insulated Looks like your provision room/cold room door heaters.. IP67 rating & IS rated also

low freezing point, cheap,.. glycol always used as secondary medium in low temp systems... as a coolant also in LPG or LNG compressors
