You can shred a bass dude!!! It's awesome you play with your fingers and not a pick like alot of bassists. Not that there is anything wrong with a pick.
Thanks! I played mostly with pick long ago - you can see it in my very oldest clips here on my channel. Then I stopped playing for like 10 years or so and started again 2 years ago with fingerstyle-only. I have better physical contact with an instrumet that way, although I'm aware that it might have certain drawbacks for some metal subgenre in terms of speed and string attack
The intro is giving me Megadeth's "Last Words" vibes, with him noodling on the bass. Except Kelly used his fingers and played faster, and this is the intro of the song. David starts noodling when Dave starts singing in Last Words, and he uses a pick.
@@TomMarello I went through it, it changes the sound for sure but that bass seems to have a very solid sound. Do you have an instagram ? id like to watch more vids with that bass:)
And this bass is great for its price, wood is of quite high quality and weight balance is perfect, no neck dive nor raise at all. Sound wise it's also great and articulated with neck on the snappier sode, meaning your playing dynamics are quite pronounced, same as are all the mistakes you make
3 d.i. pedals, each EQ-ed bit diffrenetly, one of them (ehx battalion) with distortion channel engaged (in this clip, in some clips like At the Gates/Napalm Death/Crypopsy covers I use two distortions in series) and two of them with their compressors on, plus a bit of chorus. List of pedals is in the description
Que personaje tan brutal para tocar bass, me conmovi hasta llorar escichando esta joya de linea

Hi, great cover, can you cover Vektor?
Thanks! Nope, but them, Martyr, Atheist and Pestilence is what I'll probably aim towards for my future covers
Playing was so clean I could eat food right off it
Thank you!
Not an easy play, amazing cover, that bass has some growl ! but now I feel like I won't honor that b4 cort if I buy it due to your playing lol
Thanks! But my clips owe their sound for the most part to pedals - list is in the description

What effect you use?
