    Well, that's just a perfect set up!! Really well thought out and nice demonstration. Tight lines.

    Some of the best wiring I’ve ever seen in a boat! My 2021 1860 MVJT has an 18 gallon gas tank in front and all 3 batteries in back. Have only ran it for an hour in local rive and seems like I am going to need to put two trolling motor batteries up front. When wife was all way up front on bean bag it belt decent but still seems like rear sits down to low.

    Sweet setup from Millers with some nice addons.....It will definitely get around in the skinny water here on the Gulf Coast!!

    Great boat, great job laying it out. I recently sold my SeaArk MV 2072 w/115 Yamaha Tiller Jet. I used this boat entirely in Alaska since 2004 when I bought all the pieces and assembled myself. Bought the hull at one place and dumped it in my yard, the motor second and finally the trailer third. Cost was $15,750 in 2004. Sold it in 2020 for more than I paid for the pieces! Now I'm retired in Florida and wanting to fish the Flats. I'm ordering a MVJT 2072 or a MVJT 1872. Now that you've had your 1860 for a while how do you think a bottom 12' wider would handle? It would get on step easier and stay on step slower but what do you think. I think the 2072 I sold would have worked well but almost be too big, and I know the 1872 would handle a hair quicker and be a touch lighter. I think I'll stay w/115 Tiller no matter which hull I choose unless grass is too big an issue. When I arrived in Florida I bought a used 22' Century w/200hp Mercury Optimax. While it is a heavy fiberglass hull it is still over powered IMO. It has a deep tunnel so I can get shallow but too big and heavy for flats.
    Time for a new hull & Motor. Your opinion would be helpful. If you believe a MVJT 1860 would be better I can do that too. Your boat looks like a dream come true!

      I had an 1872 MVJT prior to this boat. I sucked up too many weeds with the jet. I switched over to a prop tunnel which has been great for 90% of the time. The 18 or 20 foot hole needs the 115/80 hp jet. One of the things that stuff is that the bench seat is so far forward that you have to run a tiller extension to be able to stand up and drive.

    • @marksehl2713
      @marksehl2713 2 роки тому

      @@KirkRacing57 Well I wondered about that. On SeaArk home page I went to “Hunting” and found an 18’ and a 20’ that did not have bench seat. Open to motor with boxes on sides. Looked good. Model number is DXS 2072 or DXS 1860.
      Did you not like the 1872 xtra wide hull?? Even with a prop you prefer 60” bottom?
      I forgot to mention, I live in Crystal River and am close to Ozello and Homosassa.
      The biggest question is this: Jet or Prop?? I can run smaller lighter prop motor. I guess you built what you prefer. If you wanted a jet or a 72” bottom you would have it.
      Equally important, how was Millers to deal with? Price, order time etc.
      I sure appreciate you responding so quickly. I need to sell my 22’ Century first but I’m aging it up now I think I’ll price it to sell quickly. Really is a pretty boat and the 200hp Optimax was a dearly loved motor in this country.

      Not sure exactly- hard bottom here in Ozello Florida. I’d say 8” - maybe 2” higher with a jack plate.

    How do your poling/ top brackets sit horizontal? Can you share any pic via email/ text of a side view close up? The options from SeaArk seem very “archaic” to say the least and going to have to build some custom hardware. Need to add deck access to front to move trolling batts up front I think but I have a seat pedestal right where yours is located. Don’t want one offset to one side so going to be decided how to relocate pedestal forward or do 2 access holes, one on each side.

    Really nice rig there. I'm looking at sea ark as well. I assume you use it on the gulf coast. I live on the space coast and have a few questions. What made you go with aluminum vs fiberglass? Can that boat cross a rough bay fairly well? How has the salt affected the boat? Also, how quiet is it? Do you spook the fish with some Hull slap? Does the Florida sun on an aluminum hull, scald your feet or dog paws? Sorry if that's too many questions, but I'm upgrading soon from a kayak.
