Agreed. GMT on a diver is so odd to me. Only complications it really can use is a date window (if that). It’s like putting a moonphase on a field watch. It’s messy and only makes the watch significantly more expensive. Rather the money spent on a diver be put towards an even more awesome, durable bracelet! Or nicer bezel

Longines inst a luxury brand. Buy the Tudor. Honestly I’m not even interested in what anyone has to say about this. The Best fit and finish that reaches “Luxury” standard starts with the Tudor Royal. Nothing sub 3K comes even close to that piece. Then you get into the black bay then you can step into Imega which has additional brand Heritage. Anything sold by other manufacturers sub 3K that isn’t Tudor is just a step up from watches in the 1K segment. What truly reaches Luxury level is what I described. Don’t waste your time or money on anything else.
Just go out and buy a submariner if you want one. If you can’t afford it then bide your time and save. Most waiting list are open and (my local) Rolex AD has watches (mostly gold and two tone) they are trying very hard to sell.

I love Longines, but Certina Action Diver is a bit better than Hydroconquest for me.
Stop comparing it to a sub. The sub is its own watch and this carries its own weight + it’s a GMT. Longines is on fire lately!
