I first played geometry dash at an ipad at a babysitters when i was 7. I loved it; i played it the entire time i was there, just trying to beat stereo madness. When i got my first ever device, gd was the first thing i asked my parents to install. I sat in my room for hours, playing and building, and when i wanted to post my first level, i made my account that i still have today. That was the first ever account i had ever made in any video game. I still play the game almost daily, and i still love it. GD is and will probably always be my favorite game ever.
When I first beat the nightmare, I felt like npesta beating kenos. I finally realised I could do big things, even my dad to this day is confused how I do it, now I've beaten digital descent as my hardest, killbot and bloodbath being some other notable completions
Well said. This game really does mean a lot to all of us in so many different ways. And honestly, this barely scratches surface of what's out there. There's still impossible levels, unrated gems, the uncanny stuff, and so much more. Also I'm still waiting for the day someone makes DOOM in GD. It's only a matter of time.
Ever since 2.2 ive been absolutely addicted to GD again rather its just making layouts, decorating, playing more and more demons, grinding stars and moons, im just incredibly happy i found out about GD it truly is one of the best games of all time
It most certainly is. Been playing since december 2013 and I will always come back to the game every once in a while. I have over 8k (probably more than 10k) hours combined across all platforms and the will be more added for sure. There is not a single other game that kept me around for as long as gd did! :)
This is both (probably) the cheapest game I’ve bought, the game I’ve played the longest, the game I’ve played the most, the game I’ve had the most phases with, and the game I have the most skill at. This game has changed my life.
Awesome video again :) I relate to a lot of these and GD def has played a big part in my life. It's just such an awesome game with endless possibilities and the things the community has done are amazing and i hope it doesnt go anywhere any time soon :D
This video is definitely one of my favorites from you. Captures everything I wanted to see in a video like this; from the old days to geometry dash to the incredible creations and players of today.
7:24 reminds me of my first levels man they all suck but when i started playing this game i loved them i- dont have eough english to decribe this and words really cant describe it you gotta live that feeling to understand it remember the times when you finished your first ever demon or when you learned how to use a trigger and use it in your level or really anything
I initially bought GD just because, to see if I would have fun with it... safe to say I very much did and do to this day. I joined right before Knobbleboy beat Bloodlust. It's crazy to think I joined closer to the birth of GD than where we are now. 6 years have passed. Shortly after I joined, my long depression which I still have to this day has set in and despite being a game probably meant to piss people off has become a coping machinism I could rely on when my mind had become so unbearable. Many events which contributed to my trauma have gone in full effect afterwards and made GD that much more of a support for me. Geometry Dash has also picked up the pieces that made me unable to do anything creative or feel proud from doing so. I started to just, create layouts and post them to UA-cam. I did it more and more, before I felt like being creative again and branched out. Without GD, I think I would be a much darker place. I can't thank GD enough.
I can 100% relate to this video. Geometry Dash is such a big part of my life, that if it just got deleted for some reason I would probably just kill my self because my life would have no meaning. I can imagine myself in my 60's hoping on to play the new weekly demon, or to see whats new on the demon list. Something I can deeply relate to is when you talked about not being able to pass Electrodynamix v2 and wondering if you're at your peak. Only when you try your hardest do you truly realize how far you would have to go to become the best of the best. I've played this game for 7 years and only recently beat my first extreme hypersonic in 15k attempts. I could chalk it up to me being 144hz or playing on spacebar but I had to face the reality that no one wants to face. I will never amount to anything in this game.
It’s crazy that somebody else has had an experience like mine on beginning of time. It wasn’t my first, but it’s one of the first levels I think of and it’s the level that probably got me into the game. Great video!
geometry dash is amazing. really just a great game, i may get laughed at for playing geometry dash at the age of 19 and almost turning 20, but really it is just a monumental game to be with us.
Geometry Dash is such a simple game on the surface, but it has so many possibilities. Stargrinder can keep playing as long as the creators create levels with the editor. Speaking of the editor, it has so much potential for even remaking a whole other game in it, or creating very hard levels to challenge good players. Like zoink, or building some very fun, gameplay-wise levels that keep you more excited for the game
Geometry Dash is a game I never thought I would start playing a few years ago, but here I am now with over 600 hours of playtime on Steam, and probably more on mobile. I LOVE this game, even tho im still a newer player ive beaten over 10 demons and just beat two 2 nights ago. I might never stop playing anytime soon, even if I don't play as much back in my early times with GD.
I started work on my first actual GD level yesterday. This video really motivates me to push through and create a rateworthy level that tells its own story. After more than 8 years of playing I finally decided to open up the level editor and it opened up a complete new chapter of the game. It's insane what you can do in GD and everything that it teaches you.
Beautiful video! I loved it, you manage to capture a huge part of the game in this video. Although I'm not very good at the game, I am very happy to be part of this community. I am glad that I discovered this game! Without Geometry Dash, I don't know where I would be. Great work on this video! I enjoyed every second of it!
This hits for me, back in 2018 it was my dream to be like my favourite gd youtubers like evw and aeon,I wanted to beat bloodbath, sonic wave and cataclysm, and I'd tell my friends I couldn't do it. I never could beat the nightmare. But look back today all I needed was that one attempt and I went with it, ive now beaten ultra violence, nine circles, windy landscape, ultra sonic, bloodbath, cata, acu, killbot, digital descent, artificial and more!
over the years, ive had hyperfixations come and go. but gd, its never left me. ever since the day i got meltdown on my ipad 4, ive loved the game! i still remember not knowing how to get in the levels and going to my mum and sister for help. i was 4 then. im 11 now.
GD has affected me in a creative way. I personally love astral divinity. And the song is one of my favourites ever. And that exact song sparked a love for Lia;quo (the creator of the song). And then I found out it was Japanese, and I fell in love with its native religion shinto. Those songs, and Shinto made me start writing a book, which I’m still writing now, and I’ve got 2 series planned. So GD, has really changed my life.
I genuenly think that gd is up there with the best games of all time. I could now say why i think that but you already did with this video. Btw love your sona ;3
I wanted to be a good player, but then i decided to be a creator. And im having much more fun. Ill never forget this game even though Minecraft will stay my #1 and GD #2.
While i know that im considered "newgen". I remember when i thought press start is soo hard and just give up. Years later i beat it with 1000 attempts before i beat polergeist.
The person who I look up to in gd is knobbelboy bc I wanna beat cata on mobile bc I don't have a pc which will take awhile and I use his bloodlust completion for me pushing myself to my limits if he can beat it so can I even if the difficulty of a level is different it can still take the same stuggles as everyone else
Well, i still have a long way to go, im only 13 by now, and im trying to beat time machine on the lite version, i was wanting to pick the money i spent on level head and buy geometyr dash, but idk if play store let me do that.
This video inspired me to keep trying to get good at gd after this I won't stop trying on polargyeist Edit: 73% Edit:77% the coin messed me bc I had no time to react AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH: 94% I can proudly say my extreme demon polargyeist was verified (jk I mean the main level still) LES GOOOOOOOO AND WITH THE 1ST AND 3RD COIN Edit: beat dry out middle coin
Comment with some nostalgic stories you have with GD. I’d love to hear them :)

i remember when i first played gd, when i beat the first three official levels i celebrated it to my parents
After around 2000 or so attempts, I beat stereo madness for the first time, and after that, I beat everything up to jumper in like 3 attempts.

with the 3d engine that recently came out, doom is probably on its way
spu7njx already made that with dim lol
Hi mewtwo 🤑
2:18 This scenario always bothered me, I think it's insane that 99% of GD's content is hidden behind what looks like an options menu
can agree
5:02 100% agree with this. The feeling you get beating a hard level that you really had to push yourself to beat is way more satisfying imo.
