Looks like so much fun and the freshness of the herbs and veggies. The food, the markets. The elephants, butterflies and the show looks so awesome. Photo ops galore, I love it!!! I adore the pink scooter!!!
Absolutley LOVE seeing China through your eyes! It's defnitely a place I want to visit. I'm currently learning mandarin and saving money so I can hopefully spend a few monthe there to fully immerse myself into the culture. Watching your videos is such a helpful way for me to learn more about the country and it's people outside of news channels! You show the daily lifestyle and culture! Please keep making more videos! 💞💞
Xishuangbanna was THE PLACE to go to in China in the late 90s/early 2000s, when folks in China were generally still not well-off enough to travel abroad, even to Thailand. I remember seeing friends' photos of their vacations there and feeling like it was pure heaven! So cool to see this place featured again, thank you!
Thanks Aleese. I'm so there and will be hitting you up. That hotel room is beautiful and that food! ...Y'all eat well. You sounding like chipmunks while feeding the elephants was hilarious. Such great moments. You are becoming such a great video journalist. I think you have your next calling and job! 🧡
An update from Aleese! I have never been to Yunnan, but it seems like it is very diverse geographc wise, on one side there are snow mountains and on the other side people wear short sleeves! I will deffinitely go visit when I go back! And I also want to say that I am also living in a foreign country but struggling a bit (trying to get a job), your videos have been giving me so much energy!
Aloha ALEESE! great video. I had no idea about this place but Xishuangbanna looks like a great place to visit. The food and sights look fantastic and interesting. Mahalo nui loa for sharing. Keep up the great work. Happy New Year from Hawaii.
I went there in 2019, had a great time . there is another older side across the bridge in the town square . they have a row of bars with great food stalls as well.
Renaissance fairs for sure-- but there is more of a reason to dress up and portray a historical era. These people just rent the outfits just to take photos in hahaha
Feel free to move to Japan after your stint in China, would love to meet you and show you this amazing place. Love love love your videos and watch them when I feel homesick to inspire me and remind me why I came to Japan.
Looks like the Chinese Dai culture 🐈⬛ I have 25% Dai 🦧 Not sure what the other 75% is but 100% from Yannan and GuangXi I have been living in America since I was 12 and China looks so nice to me 🫏
The hype during the karaoke session was HILARIOUS! Home girl was singing her heart out! Chile, this place is an Instragrammer dream! Tfs
She was killing it!!!! She sang Adele after this and no one was showing her love! So I had to remind her that she was great!!!
MY GOD,I was wondering if she could breathe after singing such high-tone song?

First here! So, you girls are in a group tour, just after watching a video from Amy a couple days ago.😅
We actually weren't-- It was just by luck that Amy was in town at the same time!
Gotta go there!!!
Dianxi Xiaoge is in Yunnan. Yunnan is in the style of the Dai nationality.
Wow,all those people taking pictures in costumes! And I thought I was the only person who take picture taking so serious! 😅
I’d never seen anything like that photoshoot rampage! Very overwhelming!!
Thank you for sharing this experience 😊. I’ll be sure to visit there the next time I return to the Mainland.

Beautiful! Looks like you ladies had an awesome trip! 😍
Yes! Thank you!
Really enjoyed your video. The dressing up happens in the US at Renaissance Fairs and Festivals.
Renaissance fairs for sure-- but there is more of a reason to dress up and portray a historical era. These people just rent the outfits just to take photos in hahaha
Good point. In the US at amusement parks people pay a photographer to dress them in period western cowboy wear or 1800s fancy dress.
Also...COSPLAY
I watched this at Jenna’s and the way we all roared in laughter at that little girl afraid of the butterflies 😂😂😂😂😂
Great video! So glad you got to travel and have a fun trip after so much lockdown!!
Thanks! It's MUCH needed after lockdowns
I've never seen more drool-worthy food anywhere!
Lovely!
I love your videos 🦧 Keep up the honesty 🐎
💓💓💓 Thank you so much!
Those high-rise buildings that look like temples needs to be the norm. We need something to break the boring glass towers monotony.
I totally agree! They look so cool against the skyline!
This was amazing
Omg. There is private pool in your room! So jealous.
so luxe!
Go Whitney!!❤😂
We ALL love Whitney!!
Feel free to move to Japan after your stint in China, would love to meet you and show you this amazing place. Love love love your videos and watch them when I feel homesick to inspire me and remind me why I came to Japan.
Japan is a place that I loved when I visited! And could totally see myself living there-so maybe it will happen one day soon 😏
It looks very similar to Thailand. I guess they do a good job turning that small city into a tourusm site.
It looks similar to Thailand for a reason, because Chinese Dai and Thailand’s Thai people are from the same ethnicity.
Fun fact girls, the Dai are actually Thai race ( Thailand ).have fun.
Hmm interesting. I thought most of the Dai people are in Myanmar?
Not really. It’s more like the other way around. Thai people are Dai.
Kind of like Thailand.
Do you upload your videos on bilibili?
That elephant loved you!
After I called him crusty and all hahaha
Hahaha!! WTF? Blondie was there too?! That was so random! haha.
What a great trip! Looked fantastic Aleese! Thanks for posting.
I was thinking that Amy just visited that place and then she appeared😅
Surprise!!
I think this is unarguably one of the best cities in Yunnan province.
I actually the elephants😅
It's really nice there! I want to go back again!
The "condom" crack me up
That's exactly what the wrapper looks like hahah

dai people are related to thai people

But do they have democracy and can they elect their governmental officials ? 🙂
What does that have to with my travel vlog?
Does electing makes your country great again?
