Thank you for wonderful videos! maybe a bit of the subject. do you use only cutting oil on your lathe, in other words your sump is filled with cutting oil?
Great video. One question whats the exact threads size of the lock nut and at the back . What collage thread should i get for these two to make . Thanks 🙏
very good, you obviously know what your doing. i would be interested to know where you get your hydraulic tube from as i'm planning to make a set of .22, .25 and .30 cal barrels.
Just brilliant , your videos are perfect. Well set out and very clear.I know it takes alot of setup so thanks for taking the time to put this in place. can i ask what revs your lathe is set at for stainless cutting the oring grooves.
Glad you are enjoying the vid, the lathe was set to 550 RPM for the grooves, the tool is awful thin so any faster and I get resonation through the tool shaft, and just a light but constant tool pressure, fed in by hand. Thanks for watching.
@@sub12airgunners yes i know what you mean by awful thin, i make a few parts myself and one of them is a valve adjuster for the rapid 7. I have to cut a 1mm deep x1mm groove 8mm deep inside a 6mm diameter hole. Its a challenge with stainless ,just wondered if you found the magic revs lol. i will give 550 ago.thanks

@Sub12 Airgunners great work. I'm looking to use an FX barrel in a non-fx gun do you know what size the hole in the breech block needs to be? and do the grub screws that hold the barrel in place press against the raised part of the relief segments or between on the joiner piece? Thank you
The last block I measured was 13.8mm in diameter, although they do vary a little but I would say 13.8 -14 mm would be about right. The grub screws press on the reliefs, not the raised portions. good luck with your project. Thanks for watching.

I have a question, I have a Kral that I have spent the last three years making improvements. It is a Kral jumbo. I have been trying to find someone to make me a FX 700mm superior light liner. Would you be interested in doing such a thing?
For the external threads I cut them using the lathe, just with a single point cutter, and the threads in the tube were cut using a Dormer spiral flute machine tap. Thanks for watching.
Currently the only .177 liners from FX are 300mm for the Dreamtac Compact and the 500mm used in every other FX rifle. Also the current .177 liners are ST, not STX.
@@charlesjames8303 I see that a complete 600mm .177 barrel is available on the Huma-Air site but if you look in the Superior liners list on the Huma-Air site it isn't there. giga giga was asking for a .177 liner in 600mm. I don't think it exists.. I don't think a 600mm Crown .177 Barrel exists.. wouldn't be the first time marketing mistakes were made by FX.
Precise, to the point and no nonsense stuff. Just as I prefer it!
You two are so skilled. Love watching you at work.
Nice, you are the expert, perfect job. Thank you for sharing your experience. From Indonesia 🙏

Great video. Can't believe I was quoted £80 + shipping for the outer barrel housing tube, on its own. :(
Yes they are not cheap, i think it's to stop you building your own barrels up, thanks for watching

Hi, I just got them from a local supplier at work, the tube is a common size so you should be able to find it quite easily. Thanks for watching.

What size is that tube?
Great video - thank you. Just a quick question, I hope it’s ok? Is the 13mm thread 1.25mm? Thanks in advance. Chris
M13 x 1mm, rather than the standard 1.25. Thanks for watching.

I think it’s time you made your own air rifle and get it out there sure would give fx a run for there money, I reckon it would be a sell out.
A home made rifle is defiantly on the cards, not sure when but ill defiantly make vids on it.
exelent work!!!!
do you know where can buy 600mm barrel liner in .177 caliber?

Why does the liner have twister grooves in it?
that's a standard stx liner👍 you can see the rifling it's pressed in form the outside 👍
@@sub12airgunners I don't understand why a liner has a twist, I thought only the barrel itself has a twist.
