What a beautiful sight to see! My dad drove out of Des Moines, Ia for Greyhound from 1969 until the strike of 1990 sank the company. I was blessed to ride with him hundreds of times throughout those years he drove. I have a lot of great memories as a kid; but my favorite is everything associated with these machine's. Great video!

Of all my driving days, Jefferson Lines, and Greyhound were the most fun and rewarding. With the exception of the pay.

This is totally awesome. I can't wait to get my Crown finished now.

I see that you ARE still out there. That answers the question that's been lingering in my mind for almost half a decade.
You quit posting after that tornado went through.
How did the restoration go with 1001?

Sure were a lot of Silversides and other 1940's vintage buses at Blythville this year. Wondering how many GM made? Understand some gasoline powered Silversides were made too. 🤠

This link has all Parlor Diesel models and production numbers: utahrails.net/ajkristopans/GM-PDPARLOR.htm In their hay-day, GM had 80% of the bus market!

Yep that's it in the video. My retired Greyhound driver friend flew out to drive it, so I could drive my Trailways 4104.
