For anyone wondering, this is also how you would connect studio monitors to your gaming console. Your interface has to have an optical port otherwise it won’t work

Yo is your tv and xbox connected with the same hdmi port? Because my tv has no sound and I'm wondering if it will work if I get that same plug and speaker
Doesn't work for me. I have my video as hdmi to the TV and the audio as optical to the soundboard. I tried turning HDmi audio of on xboxone and I made sure my sound bar source was set to optical. No luck.... the reason I say this is my soundboard only has one hdmi in spot.

Is there supposed to be a red light in the S/PDIF port?
Mine had a red light in it as well before I plugged it in.
Which plug do we put it in on the xbox
You will plug the optical audio cable into the S/PDIF port on the back of the console.
can you plug in headphones straight in the 3.5mm jack
There is noo 3.5 mm out though and we need a bridge to do it
What about the auido settings on the Xbox? The other main important part
There isn’t you have to change with the Xbox’s Audio settings for any games I have tested. It was just a plug it in and go kind of thing, I assume the Xbox already has it pre-programmed with all the games so we don’t have to mess with any more settings. Hope this helped!

@@creocorleone182 I just got mine to work, I have the same soundbar. Bitstream format: Dolby Digital. DTS Digitally Surround won’t work. Hopes that helps!

If you are talking about the optical audio cable,(the one that plugs into the Xbox) you can get those on Amazon for about $10.
